Unsure what wins has to do with being a good, or top 10 QB. Please explain.

Nothing top tens are for sports center.

At the end of the day no one cares about the qb that puts up lots of stats but his team loses.

The qb touches the ball on every offensive snap and with the league putting an emphasis on passing the qb affects the game even moreso.

The QB has more chances to impact the outcome of the game than any other player.

Cousins doesn't impact the game enough to lead to wins

There are a lot of hidden stats in football and whatever one classifies those as cousins doesn't do enough of them.

Why does a guy like Rodgers always seem to win even when his surrounding cast is average???

How did Tom Brady win multiple Super bowls throwing to a bunch of no body circus midgets and an average run game???

Those guys make big plays when it matters that positively impact the outcome of games.

Kirk cousins doesn't, whether it's taking an inopportune sack or missing a guy and checking it down or just going through the game getting 1000 paper cuts that are hardly noticeable until he gets to the end of the game and all those itty bitty barely noticeable paper cuts have led to a loss.

Cousins is top ten in paper cuts every year no matter what else is around him he doesnt stop the bleeding enough to positively affect the outcome of games

One can list his yards and tds and accuracy and all that and In the end the guy that touches the ball the most couldn't lead his team to a win.

Ultimately qbs are judged by their wins, Marino has more yards and tds than joe Montana yet I don't know many that will claim Marino was better than Montana.

Then again I get a feeling you just want to argue because that's what you do.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Now that I've learned how to use the internet... some interesting QBR's..

Carson Palmer and Andy Dalton, 1 and 3 respectively.

Dak has multiply top 5 finishes and apparently he's terrible.

Case Keenum runnered up to Wentz and we all know Wentz is one of the worst QB's in the history of the league

Like I said, QBR doesnt take into account the players around them, the defense they play with or the team in general.

Wentz's 78.8 came on the back of an AMAZING running game, GREAT defense that gave them a ton of great field position.

Wentz was widely considered the MVP front runner and led the league in TD's when he got hurt. Him leading QBR that year matches the eye test.....

Wentz was 12 and 11 in 2018 and 2019.

I think that's about where Wentz is in the league. The 10th-15th best QB. Last year was a complete abortion across the board for this team.

I thought we weren't talking about abortion anymore 😉

So I think issue I have has gotten lost in the conversation.  We aren't winning or losing the Super Bowl by having or not having 11v11 and 7v7, I'm not saying that.

The message it sends, IMO, is one of complacency.  Sirianni wants guys who love ball and want to compete yet the first thing his players tell him is we don't love ball enough to have full OTA/mini camps and we'll compete when it fits our time...and he caved to that mindset.  I would have loved to have him come in here and say this is how things are going to be done, if you don't like it tough crap.  If a young player comes in and takes your spot, so be it.

I also firmly believe that with a brand new staff and a new starting quarterback, every second the NFL allows you to have player/coach interaction on the field should be taken advantage of, not negotiated out of.

I know in the grand scheme of things, we are probably talking about what, 3-5 days of on field drills here but again, it's the message and mindset behind it all that pisses me off, not to mention the fact that players complain they have to work an extra 3-5 days.

Dude,  11 on 11 with no contact is half speed at best. When they do that, it’s rarely more than about 10 plays at minicamp or OTAs.  7 on 7s are basically no touch touch football at best. I would argue it misleads both skill players and defensive players because of the separation required and tempts defensive players to be more physical than allowed because they get tired of getting beat. I know none of us will change your mind.  I think skill drills teach better and more effective technique and muscle memory, you apparently don’t.

I think a new coach in year 1 focusing on teaching is perfectly fine. It’s a little different once he’s been here a few years.

I used to coach 9th graders and just from my personal experience which I'm not sure means much so take it or leave it. we didn't do a lot of 7on7 except for install, cuz it seemed like a waste of time other wise. Most of practice was spent in individual drills and at the ending team drills.

When I played football in highschool, and I use that term loosely as I rode the bench, I felt I didn't learn as much in 7-7 or 11-11 half speed as I did in full speed individual or team drills.

I imagine the same applies at all levels of football that players will benefit more from individual attention and  drills specific to their position than they would from running around in their shorts playing catch.

7 on 7 has it's purposes and I don't think it's the most effective way for a team to get better at playing football on Sundays

Kirk Cousins

Gotcha.

I haven't really thought about my top ten qbs currently, I don't really look at it that way, I mean there are lots of average qbs in the league and only a few that are elite.

I'd go more with tiers of qbs and cousins would just as I said be in a tier with a bunch of other average QBs

In   the top tier id have Rodgers and Mahomes, I refuse to put Brady on any list, he's a known cheater which disqualifies him from any of my lists.

After those two one could make a case for a lot of guys.

Cousins as I said would be somewhere in the middle, doesn't suck but obviously not good enough to get it done

If I'm going all time.

I think a top ten is easier to at least guage as most of their careers are over.

I'd put Montana at the very top.

Followed by in no particular order, Manning, (Peyton) Elway, Rodgers, Steve young, Unitas, Marino, staubach...???

Kurt Warner, tarkenton Bradshaw???

Something Sirianni said comes to mind. He said he had to get to learn the players in order to decide how to use them most effectively. Individual drills and observation of technique are the ways to do that. You can also learn about a player's coachability. Stoutland aside, none of these coaches really knows his players. It's a learning process for them too.

At this point they should just embrace it

Makes sense, smh , must have suffered one too many concussions

DE Montez Sweat on the team bringing in vaccine experts to speak to players: "I’m not a fan of it at all. ... I won’t get vaccinated until I get more facts.”

On why he’s hesitant: "I haven’t caught covid yet, so I don’t see me treating covid until I actually get covid.

Even if you removed all the stupid regulations and handcuffs so to speak it wont profit. Also with NUMEROUS shipping outlets USPS usually isnt even the cheapest.

This.

(From Wikipedia) Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act ... compelled the USPS to pay in advance for the health and retirement benefits of all of its employees for at least 50 years, and stipulated that the price of postage could not increase faster than the rate of inflation.

When USPS was allowed to play by the same rules as UPS, Fedex et al -they were profitable. So I don't see how you can argue that it won't profit when it did.

Doesn’t really make sense. That’s how measles became a thing again.

He says he wants more facts, but then doesn’t want to listen to an expert brought in to educate him and present facts. That’s not a belief. That’s ignorance.

Sweat was flagged for a heart condition at the combine. Sounds like he should get the vaccine.

"Sweat recently met with Houston Texans team doctor Dr. ... Tests taken at the combine revealed Sweat might have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which results in thickening of the heart walls, as doctors in Indianapolis measured nearly two centimeters of thickness, according to Rapoport.”
