2 championships in 20 years?  Yup you're right...or are we counting that participation trophy for UCF?

They won 2 last year , with their baseball team losing in the World Series , won’t be shocked if they don’t win one or two this year .

ban ? for talking sports ? how is this different than talking cowboys , gints , wft. , sixers  , soccer , COVID , favorite beer , best barbecue?

all of which are not eagles football , grow up with the  troll stuff , grown men just don’t talk like that .

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Anyone think there will be any surprise cuts in training camp?  Doug's regime would typically make the veterans untouchable; I wonder if the new coaching staff will have a different evaluation on certain guys.

I think anyone that would be considered a big surprise cut is too financially tied into making the roster thanks to the salary cap situation. Biggest surprise IMO would be like Davion Taylor.

Very true.  It will be interesting to see what happens with guys like Taylor and JJAW

Both of those guys seem to have defined roles under the new regime that didn't really exist under the old one. So I think they will at least get a year to see if they work in the new offensive and defensive systems.

Maddox to me is an easy cut unless he has a big training camp. His salary is way too big to pay unless he takes a huge leap forward.

Whoa.

The narrative is being formed for making him starting LT.

The team is probably desperate for him to win that competition, because otherwise they look incompetent for drafting him

Or to rebuild his trade value. Either way, I hope he lives up to his potential.

Or perhaps the team thinks it would be ridiculous to write off a player who has only played his rookie season.

Having Dillard fulfill his potential is a win-win. He's no Jonathan Martin. He just needed time and good health to show he belongs.

Mailata moves to swing tackle, hopefully can learn RT and eventually take over for Lane, and provides solid depth.

Dillard, Mailata, and Dickerson are a solid core of young OL to build with going forward.

There was an interesting piece in a newspaper over here today suggesting that players are working too hard and putting their bodies under unsustainable stress, and there needs to be more care for players welfare by the authorities to stop burnout, etc.  The last 12 months in the football world has been one massive slog of games, games, games.

No one knows what the root cause with Eriksen was, but clearly someone who is 29 and "fit as a fiddle", collapsing like is of concern.

They could just adopt the NBA rules where each team gets 8-10 timeouts in each half

It would be malpractice to trade an OL after seeing what took place last season.  Dillard was a first round prospect on every pre-draft board; develop the player.

I don’t think the reason he needed  paddles to bring him back  was because of exhaustion  , my guess is that find underlying  health issue . And his kickball days are over  , thankfully he is still alive , kudos to the medical people

To be fair he wasn't alive when they were good. Lots of the younger people weren't lol

Part of me is curious if Nick can do anything with JJAW and the other part just wants him cut

I think Howie will drag that one out though

The best you get in football is a water break in hot weather 😀.  My team played 10 weeks of 2 games a week, which is ludicrous when you consider the amount of players to pick from was 18.  Money has mandated a brutal schedule.

Of course.

They’ve been around him for two years. If they decided to trade him, I’d say the decision would have a lot to do with his mental makeup as much as his physical.

Bingo. I think they have subtly admitted this offseason that there were issues with his mentality the past two years, with all their talk of "new focus" or whatever they're saying.

IMO if he loses the battle he will probably do best with a change of scenery, I don't think he would ever amount to anything here.

Whenever they started doing chest compressions I thought he was gone. Insane to watch

Yup, Howard Eskin  said it too. Unbelievable. So the guy took notes when he was out and has a better attitude now, that means he's the favorite to get the job? Gtfo
