I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I dont get these athletes. I'm not saying live a sheltered life but you're a multimillionaire. You can fly Auntie out to you in your nice home in your nice neighborhood instead of cruising around the sh!!thole known as DC.

A 2021 6th round draft pick is a multimillionaire?   I don't think so.

I would say that you may not live a sheltered life, but you certainly do speak too quickly.

Devonta Smith and an entirely new coaching staff is exiting to look forward to.

It's probably wonderful for people that love to watch the world burn.

Just saw this from a couple of days ago…

Chiefs DE Frank Clark was arrested Sunday night in Los Angeles for felony illegal possession of a firearm.

According to a police report, Clark had an Uzi in a duffle bag in his SUV, discovered during a routine traffic stop Sunday evening. Clark was booked in L.A. County jail Monday morning and remains behind bars. Clark entered the NFL with an off-field history after being kicked off the Michigan football team.

PFF ranked them as the 3rd best offensive line in their end of 2020 rankings.

I don't know why people are so sure about this I really don't. Mailata was very good, good and at times decent but he also had his struggles. Should he continue to improve? Yes but it isn't like Dillard isn't a very talented LT.

I like Dillard and think he still has potential but Mailata has shown more, imo.

he's 33 and has a track record of being more a stat padder than a winning QB.

I'd be hesitant to just call him a stat padder.  He has had a good amount of 4th quarter come backs

Stafford is 7th all time in 4th quarter comebacks behind only Manning, Brady, Brees, Big Ben, Unitas, Marino and Elway.

He could move into the top 5 this year.

Another case of afan thinking he is the smartest guy in the room when he clearly is not.

Stafford is at least a couple tiers above Goff. McVay should be happy.

Agreed.  I can't wait for this new coaching staff to exit as quickly as possible.

I dont understand this post. Please explain it to me.. being serious.

Looks like a non guaranteed 4 year contract signed by 6th round pick. If he lasts that long, he would have earned all that money.

You said the bolded.  @Iggles_Phan posted his contract.  He is a rookie, has been paid a 175K signing bonus and has a 660K salary this year, if he makes the team.

He is not a multi millionaire.

I hate this part of the offseason.  So freaking slow.  Only a couple of weeks until we start hearing that "[Player] is in the best shape of his life"

Give Siri a chance.  Our offense was so boring and predictable last year.  We now have a new guy in to run the show, he absolutely couldn't call a worse game than Doug.

He signed in the last 60 days to a $174k signing bonus.  The rest of the contract is completely up in the air.  If he makes the team, he'll have a career earnings of about $850k.  If he makes the team the following year... his career earnings can rise to about $1.6M, still shy of "multimillionaire" status.  And in year 3 (2023) he'd earn enough to qualify as "multimillion" dollar earnings by the narrowest of definitions, though that term is generally reserved for net worth, not earnings.  And he'll have the govt taking large chunks of that, so might not actually get to "multimillionaire" status truly hntil his second contract.

Now, in this moment, in this situation, he's a kid fresh out of college who just got a large signing bonus check (by everyday standards, but not in NFL circles) with no guarantees beyond an invitation to training camp.  He's hardly swimming in cash and went home to visit family, but you want to blame him for where he grew up, while falsely calling him a multimillionaire.  I'd venture a guess that you likely have a much higher current net worth than this 22 year old you want to criticize.

Educate yourself before casting aspersions on someone you never met, and criticizing his decisions to visit family during his off time.

Gotcha, and that was my point. if he stays on the ip and up he's a multi millionaire.

Sorry you needed to drive down to such hard and lonely specifics of this breakdown.

and I apologize. he's on *track* to be a multimillionaire who can MORE THEN AFFORD his aunties plane ticket.

Well, he's not currently a multimillionaire.  Instead, he got $174k in signing bonus, from which he has to pay his agent (Rosenhaus), set aside some money for his taxes that will come due, unless it was already taken out and also shouldn't be making any big purchases, including flying his relatives around the country, because that's the only money he has to live on until the season starts... and it won't go nearly as far as you seem to think.   Not to mention, that he's not 'on track' for anything.  He has an opportunity with no guarantees and lots and lots of ways for it to fall apart.

And just to double back. If I have a career that could pay me 30 times the national yearly salary average, i promise you i wouldnt be visiting sh11tholes.

I mean I make no where near 800K and I dont venture into the bad parts of Camden, Philly, ETc.

He wasn't "visiting", what you like to call, a sh**hole.  That's his home, that's where he grew up.  So take your snooty attitude elsewhere and educate yourself.  The more you post, the more ignorant stuff you put out there.    You will have to find a way to understand that a 21 year old might just want to spend some time at home during his down time and not get so judgmental about it.   He did nothing wrong, but here you are blaming him for his unfortunate circumstances.   It's disgraceful.

We really have no idea why it happened, so you're correct. It's best to not judge. Even when we do know why, it's probably still not a good idea to judge unless he was dealing drugs or something. (Even then we can't trust the press).

Football + political post incoming....

Michael Sam is trending. People are upset that White Carl Nassib is being titled as the first openly gay football play

(michael Sam never played, was just drafted)

But this whole time I thought we were supposed to treat people(no matter race or sexuality) the same. Shame on me I suppose.

Just a wild guess but I'll say that will never happen, ever....unfortunately.

We are officially in the most boring 2 month stretch of the NFL's calendar year.  From the day the season ends to FA, there may not be much activity, but there is all kinds of speculation, mock offseasons, etc.  After the draft, you get about 1 month of fallout, discussion, and dust settling.

Now, it's all done.  The only thing left is to go to training camp.  And while training camp may give us something to discuss, it sure won't be meaningful.  The only information that escapes NFL training camps these days is misinformation.  Hearing who is and is not having a good camp is about as reliable as hearing who a team is or is not interested in drafting the week before the draft.

Subtract taxes and agent fees, subtract whatever frivolous spending most fresh pro athletes oblige in to fit in with their new peers....

Most pro athletes 5-10 years after retirement don't have much.

There is nothing going on.

The Bears might trade Foles to the Jets, Titans, or Cowboys. And someone thinks the Bears should then sign Jamie Newman.

There's your Eagles rumors for the last couple days.

Just like when McNabb was on the Redskins it would be fun to go up against him and root against him.

One of the best things about McNabb being on the Redskins was the Monday Night Massacre.  59-28 I think was the score?  Thought we were going to drop 100 that night.
