Talent-wise, Dickerson is already one of the best centers in the NFL. The only question is durability.

If they think Dickerson is going to play C. They may play him at RG in the NFL.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I'll tell you what I think the best outcome is... Both ball out and there's nothing to split them. So Dillard starts and Mailata moves across to RT. For this year he'd be a good swing tackle.

The negative there is that you still have Lane at RT, for how long? Mailata is due for a new contract. Maybe mailata isn't willing to stay on as a backup here until lane retires and he goes for a bigger contract and a starting gig somewhere else.

It's entirely possible that he is willing to stay here with stoutland and ride it out until lane retires. But i think it is more likely he would want to start and make more money if he could.

The Saints really are a team that are World Champs from the dressing room. If the Pats didn't cheat, McNabb and TO would have had a Super Bowl, etc etc. Bunch of blowhards

Dickerson has the potential to lock up the C position for a long time.  He must get healthy and stay healthy though.

Seumalo at LG should be fine.  They need to have a RG to take over from Brooks in a season or two.

According to Joe Banner, the definition of insanity is the Philadelphia Phillies.  For anyone that is a fan, you have my sympathies.

Just a hunch but I think Mailata is going to be the type of guy who will be here if the Eagles want him to be. I don't see him chasing money or really using his leverage to go anywhere else.

All avid MLB fans have my sympathy; it's being reduced to a niche sport that appeals only to the casual fan who just wants to watch home runs and strikeouts.

I've not seen a game for years and I'm not that minded too in the future.   In the same way a game of Golf is a bad way to ruin a good walk, Baseball is a bad way to ruin your evening.

I would recommend anyone listens to the Q and A podcast today.  Some really good stuff, and an interesting segment from Avant on Riley Cooper.

I see that Hector Neris blew another save.

Hector F'ing Neris.

Ugggh.  A deep dark sports hole we are in.

I know it's blasphemy to some folks, but...

It helps to follow the teams less and stop caring.

Sad that the broken Sixers are the closest team to bringing a championship. I guess Eagles could be next if they have a great draft next year - but that’s 3 years minimum prob

The other 3 teams have let me down recently.

The only bright spot for me is the Eagles.

Such a great podcast. The part about farting in the offensive line room had me dying laughing

Can you Spark Notes it for us? 😁

Easily the best sporting event going on right now is the Euro Cup...

Yes, Soccer....

To be honest no I don't. I'm not sure the C of the future is on the roster right now but I guess it may be Dickerson.

I'd take a C in this upcoming draft and groom Dickerson for G. Every arrow has pointed to Dickerson at C though it seems.

It will be fun.  I like Mailata as he reminds me of a young peters that is bigger and more athletic.  And he seems to have that want to hit and punish defenders.  Dillard reminds me more of Tra- big guy but more of a finesse LT.  I hope Mailata makes it an easy decision to play him.

Bigger than Peters, yes. More athletic, no.

Slow down... There are more questions than just durability.  A lot of 'sure-thing' prospects don't work out as expected in the NFL.   Let's not anoint him just yet.  Maybe let him suit up in a PS game or even open TC before we get his bust ready for Canton.

What gives you the impression that he'd be satisfied to sit as a backup here if that's the way it works out, rather than pursuing playing time (and the bigger check that likely comes with that) elsewhere?     From what I've seen, most professional athletes covet playing time above just about anything else.   If he's a backup here, but can be a starter elsewhere, why should he be loyal to the Eagles?   They gave him his first shot, but he didn't sign an exclusive rights deal for the rest of his career.  He's not bound to the Eagles, just as they are not bound to him.

I don't think he'd stay for vet minimum but if they offered him fair market value I think he would strongly wish to stay here. For starters, he clearly has a relationship with Stoutland who he trusts and wants to work with. Past that, he already said when he first came over he was homesick and wanted to be back in Australia. Now that he's been here for almost 4 years, I'd think he has that somewhat second home comfort with the area. He doesn't strike me as your normal NFL player who only cares about his paycheck. Out of anyone on the team that would give the "hometown discount" I can't think of anymore more likely than him.

Was home today with a sick kid and flipped between Germany-Hungary and Portugal-France. I’m not much of a soccer guy, but those matches were fun as hell.
