The data shows that the the higher up you're drafted, the more likely you are to be good. Guarantee? No.

What exactly about Dickerson's profile scares you except for injuries?

Nothing.  But... for him to be declared already without having taken a snap in the NFL 'one of the best centers in the NFL'... that's just putting the cart before the horse.  Let's see what he does in the NFL, before we declare his arrival.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

In all honesty, I would do a disservice to how he said it by doing it.  Requires a watch - but maybe only 10 mins or so within a longer podcast

Here is the time marker:

The best part of this was Aggy asking for Avant to help him, but then turning him down to get help from Moss lol.

If Dickerson is sooooooo good and can stay healthy, then he needs to go to Guard.  I can stomach drafting a great guard in the 2nd round over using a high pick on a center.

Does it really matter?  Mike Pouncey and Alex Mack were first round picks.

Willis for 2022 QB

Anyone else in here collect sports cards ?

I just added a nice Zach Wilson card , 1 of 1

I'm not even going to bother to watch.  Just the mere comparison shows how ignorant and lazy minded (is that even a term) people can be.  It's like ESPN and Dallas Fans.  I assumed Philly fans were more original than that.  I suppose not.

It was worth a listen. They pretty much agree with you on Simmons/Wentz but there is much more than that on there.

Cool.  Let’s use two guys in the last 20 years as an example.  I always love that method.

Next you’ll tell me Marvin Harrison was small too.

Let me rephrase ... what's the f'n difference if the pick is spent on a G or C, and if Dickerson can excel at both positions then doesn't that versatility warrant a higher pick?

Dave Hakstol hired as Seattle Kraken head coach.  Lordy. Hopefully they take one of our old, high priced, under-productive forwards in the expansion draft and keep the lousy decisions in high gear.

There are teams that value C over G because of the mental aptitude it takes to make line calls.

I think the point is if he cant dominate at Guard, but CAN dominate at Center it was still an amazing pick in the 2nd round

This post isn't about Kelce but I'm referencing him to make a point. I think what's getting lost in this argument is what an unusual player Kelce is. I can't think of another center who does what he does. There simply haven't been any centers as agile and athletic as he, ever. Most centers play A gap to A gap and that's it. Creed Humphrey, also a 2nd round pick though much later in the round, is a prime example. Kelce pulls and keys our outside zone runs and screens. Nobody else does that. The point I'm trying to make here is that we have a distorted view of what the position normally entails. Dickerson at center will be a radically different player and our run game will change, of necessity. Putting him at guard will do much the same thing. He can certainly pull for traps and powers but to get outside the right tackle (coming from LG)? I just don't see it. My preference is for him to play center and keep Seumalo at LG. You've got to have at least one  move interior OL.

Soccer blows.  Soccer is for kids to play until they are coordinated enough to play real sports.

The vast majority of the world disagrees with you and soccer takes quite a bit of coordination...

I better be careful though before you tell the mods I’m talking about soccer

The only reason the Europeans like kickball is because they don't have football.

Question for the board:

What major sports did not originate in Western European cultures?

The only ones I can name (and we can argue whether these are major sports):

lacrosse

judo/karate/etc.

There are several "universal" sports:

running

swimming

weight lifting/feats of strength

archery

sword fighting

wrestling/fighting

gymnastics/acrobatics/tumbling

Trucks: Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady, Wilson, Watson, Stafford

Trailers: Allen, Jackson, Prescott, Tannehill, Herbert, Murray, Mayfield, Cousins, Ryan, Burrow, Roethlisberger, Goff, Wentz

Parking Boots: Carr, Fitzpatrick, Newton, Garopollo, Tagovailoa, Jones, Darnold, Winston, Dalton, Lock, Hurts

Too early to call Lawrence or Wilson anything.

There are no trucks, no quarterback can do a damn thing without decent team mates.
