Reagor was as productive in 3 college seasons as Huff was in 4.  Reagor was a better KR than Huff, and Reagor was a dynamic PR at TCU, while Huff wasn’t even used there in college

Man, some of the (stuff) people in here want to come up with ….

Seriously…

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Huff is someone who was faster, quicker, and stronger than everyone in college...but really wasn't that fast, quick, or strong for the NFL.  He was more productive than Reagor in college, but most scouts had the sense that he would not translate to the NFL.

Reagor wasn't even as good as Huff in college...but was more naturally explosive and talented, so there was the hope that Reagor would translate better.

He also benefited from Oregon's crazy offense at that time and no, Reagor wasn't half the college player that Huff was agree there.

People would rather project pessimism around here and come back later to eat crow when they're wrong. That way they get a win / win. They either come back all giddy with, "I told you so!" or they are "happily" proven wrong.

QB - TBD

RB - Good

WR - TBD but should be better than the last few years

TE - Good

OL- Good if healthy

DL - Good for this year but in trouble moving fwd

LB - TBD but same sentiments as WR

CB - Bad, need CB2 and players to step up

S - TBD on McLeod injury, like Harris

If Hurts plays well, OL stays healthy, and they get a solid CB opposite of Slay, who knows what could happen this year. Wouldn’t be shocked to win this terrible division.

I’m baffled by this take.

Besides 2017, Vick led Eagles was by far the most fun to watch

His first year with the Eagles was fun.  After that I just assumed he was gonna come up lame after he'd take off running.

I spoke too soon...I'm going off old memories.

They are the exact same player in college! HA.   Give me all the crow, I'll eat it.

Josh Huff had 162 plays from scrimmage for 2608 yards and 26 TD.

Jalen Reagor had 183 plays for 2572 yards and 24 TD

Not only was it fun but I truly enjoyed watching Vick change his life.  I really believe that he's been genuine in turning his life around and trying to do good.  I wanted him to succeed so bad, not only because he's an all-time talent but for me, it was easy to cheer for him.

He's by far my favorite Eagles QB, shortcomings and all.  Man I wish someone got a hold of him early in his career to get him on track and try to coach him up.  He was so special.

You’re talking production vs quality of player. Put Reagor in that offense and he doesn’t have to wait until his senior year to break out like Huff did.

Huff was propped up by his offense. Reagor was suppressed by it, particularly by the QB.

Yea, I often compare players based on production.  IMO, it's the one of the best ways to compare value.  I understand your point that putting a player in a comparable system could change a lot.

I don’t understand why we would fall into the trap of comparing production when we all saw and heard about how terrible Reagor’s QB play was as a junior. He had sufficient ply as a true sophomore and was one of the best WRs in college football. Huff was nothing but a role player his first three years. It’s not an apples to apples comparison.

Yup that team with shady Desean maclin and celek had a ton of fire power, with Vick leading the charge they were fun to watch!

Happy B day Vick!

I'm not arguing your point at all.  It's just easy to compare stats, especially with websites at our finger tips that break down so much.

I think Reagor is going to be a good player.  I wasn't trying to knock him and saying he's going to turn in to Josh Huff in the NFL.

Out enjoying boring soccer on this lovely day.

Use a 1st on a QB. Use the other 2 on CBs.

Unrealistic but my hope is Hurts proves to be the guy and we can get one of the top DE and 2 CB.

No matter what happens with Hurts this season there is no chance the Eagles use their 3 potential 1st round picks n the 2022 draft to make 3 first round selections.  Howie is using at least one of them to wheel and deal something.

Come on now....you've gotta use the current roster!  I wonder if he makes the final roster.

I always enjoyed this one.  Kiss Guy.
