I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

The cake has been baked on that team for quite awhile now.  Starter goes out of the game and "Send In The Clowns” can be played over the sound system.

They haven’t invested in pitching.  Wheeler has been a good signing for them to pair with Nola — but the bullpen has been awful for a few years now.  They play in a hitter’s park, so their pitching will never be dominant, but they need better arms and lots of them

I don’t play video games anymore outside of Mario with my son, but on a whim I decided to buy Madden 13 for our Wii U. It was $2.99 so whatever. I couldn’t remember what team that was and it turns out it’s the Dream Team Eagles.

Gross.

And Rhys Hoskins had another error.  Guy is an abomination in the field.  And the team can’t hit.  It’s not just the BP.  But Girardi keeps sending Neris out there.

Phils need to start grooming Spencer Howard as the closer.  They won't, they'll just ruin his career trying to force him to be something he isn't as they did Kingery.  As for Hoskins, time to sit him and move the other horrible corner infielder in Bohm to first base to see if he can be decent there.

Unrealistic but my hope is Hurts proves to be the guy and we can get one of the top DE and 2 CB.

Ding ding ding.  This is what every Eagle fan should pray, hope, offer appropriate sacrifices for.

I thought the Dream Team was 2010 or 2011?

I actually have that too for the Wii U and its terrible.   The best Maddens were during the PS2 days.  But for $2.99, cant complain.

Dream Team Eagles were 2011 & 2012.

I always thought it was just the 1 year when Vince made the statement.

I just saw Babin, DRC, Jenkins and Nnamdi on the field while toggling defensive players and vomited.

Yikes.

I consider 2012 part of that since it was the same team brought back for year 2.

I’m on board — but the one thing that has to change is his arm strength, or lack thereof.  Not sure if a QB guru can coax any extra out of his throwing motion, mechanics, etc.  I believe for him to truly develop he’s got to get more "mustard on the ball”, so to speak

I bet they had high ratings.

I can see that.  I just dont remember them being referred to as the Dream Team in 2012.

Lol. I auto-simmed the season and got the 10th pick. Madden knew that team was trash.

He throws harder than Deshaun Watson. Velocity is overrated, just ask Drew Brees.

It’s only overrated if you can throw with anticipation and to any spot on the field with pinpoint accuracy and timing — Hurts doesn’t possess those attributes either as of yet.  I think his chances are better to get more zip on the ball.

I’m not even that old but my god how did athletes get so soft all of a sudden? I feel like half the players in every sport are just coddled babies.

At this point his arm is what it is. It’s not so weak he can’t make it but it’s also not a strength.

Arm strength is huge... opens the playbook. Brees is an all-timer of course, but he's also had the benefit of having one of the best offensive coaches in NFL history.

You can be great without great arm strength; it's just a lot easier when you do have it.

Right around this period:

It's generational and extends way beyond pro sports.  The behavior just gets televised there.

Funny, I always thought they were comparable as well. Reagor does have better hands, I think he did show that in the limited sample size last year.I just don't think he is ever going to show he was worthy of the spot taken especially over other receivers. That was a strong and deep draft and I think Howie really missed a golden opportunity to turn the ship in the right direction.

...again.

I fear it is not just athletes. More and more of my students are lazy with an aggressive sense of entitlement.

I’m so done with that guy.  Never liked his body language.   Always seemed to be a mental midget.  Typical millennial.  Cares more about optics.  He can go.

And he is throwing his bullpen teammates to the wolves with that one.
