All GOAT discussions are subjective because it's impossible to compare eras in most major sports; the game changes as the rules are changed.

I read an article about Novak Djokovic being the GOAT in men's tennis already.  All the comments I read at the bottom mentioned only Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer.  I commented that it seems a tad myopic to have an "all-time" discussion on players and confine it only to the past 20 years -- especially when the ITF changed the sport in 2001 to slow down the ball and slow down the court.  Fans quit watching men's tennis because the dominant serve-and-volley players like Sampras, Ivanisevic and others would win all their service points in 2 swings or less.  Now all the serve-and-volley players are extinct.

Joe Montana never threw for 4,000 yards in a season -- yet he's the GOAT.  He didn't cheat, which helps.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Bitz4Krieg, Dumblebear, DireWolf, and now Duckwalk.  Keep it in the circus clown!!

Joker deserves to be the goat of tennis cause he’s playing in an era with Federer and Nadal, and has winning records on both of them. Case closed.

Hurts with the G-Baby jersey from Hardball?

Barry Sanders ran backwards a lot also .... btw .. there's got to be at least 5 RB's I'd take over Barry.

For gawd's sake, Barry never won a playoff game. And you're going to nominate him GOAT? Hardly.

Apologies he had one... against the Cowpokes lol

I’m not sure the Sanders fanboys are old enough to have seen him play. Constant 2nd-and-14’s hurt the offense. He was special, but nowhere near the greatest ever.

Yea, probably, that’s why they drafted him in the 2nd to be a backup as well as 31 other teams passing on him. Otherwise he would have been a top of the first round QB.

Now list the ones that didn’t make it, unless your plan is to have Hurts become one of the next statistical anomalies.

And boy, Romo? Yea, let’s bank on Hurts becoming the next Tony Romo. Those two playoff wins over the next ten years is going to be awesome.

You win 7 Super Bowls  ,  and you are the goat period , regardless of position .

That play against SEA where he dropped the snap on that FG, then tried to run to the end zone is one of my all-time favorites.  Especially memorable for me because I was watching the game with my younger brother who said 15 seconds before the snap "he's gonna drop the snap"

Is Lance Armstrong the greatest?  He cheated too, you know.

Yes. So was Barry Bonds

When did Brady cheat to win 7 Super Bowls ? And don’t give me footballs deflated , last I checked both teams use the same football

how did he cheat last year ? winning a Super Bowl in year one new  team , new offense , no pre season , on a bum leg , at the age of 43 .

Unpopular opinion: Regardless of stats, Calvin Johnson is the greatest WR of all time

I would go Chris Carter if thats the case. Dude caught everything. One of the most reliable receivers of all time. One of the best one handed catch players and crazy catch players I ever saw play. Consistently that is.

I would go Rice at WO , Largent a close second .

Bonds wasn't even as good as Ken Griffey Jr.  You don't even need to move out of his own era to find better players.

I rest my case

I’ll take Bonds  over JR , but JR would be second

There’s no doubt in my mind that a guy who has had as much plastic surgery as Brady, who was caught deflating footballs, and has a really shady personal trainer has probably used some PEDs too.

He trains  hard and eats like a deer , you can do that when you have a personal chef  , and he loves the game of football , he has probably left a 100 million on the table  , over his career .

I have been a habs fan , since the Steve shutt , Dryden  etc , days … so I hope they beat the lightning starting tonight , but if they don’t  , Tampa would have , cup champs last year , super bowl champs last year , Rays in the WS , lightning in the stanley cup again , Rays best record so far and on their way back to playoffs , and  call me bias , but no major injuries and I think Bucs are back in the Super Bowl  , hell of a run that city is on the last two years .

I disagree that he left all that money on the table. Because he knows what most of the pros dont. When you win and stay on a high level you will make more money in endorsements, movies, tv etc over the remainder of your life then you will in the game. All these players wanting top money and results in the destruction of their team just cant understand that concept.

I personally, don't like Brady but I respect him, his game and his thought process.
