Rick Lavato is probably the best thing about the ST units.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

What would really help Jalen Hurts is a dominate defense that not only creates turnovers but has the ability to take them to the house.  Give the offense as many opportunities to score but also help them out.  I want a defense that makes plays all over the field.

Yup.

I was going to say, a team used to be able to win with a middle of the pack qb if the running game and defense were good

I'm not so sure anymore, it seems defense has been legislated out of the league and the running game has been minimized.

It's a qb centric league driven by lots of scoring through passing and the rules benefit that as those same rules distinctly disadvantage defense.

It seems if one wants to win one has to have an elite qb or at least have a qb play elite ball at the right time.

So what is your point, exactly? Are you disagreeing with notion I put forth that the Eagles selected Hurts late in the second because they probably didn't view him as a perfect QB prospect that could make all the throws? You are all over the place.

Here's a handy list of QB's taken round 2 or later in just the last 5 years not counting the most recent class. How many of these guys do you want leading your team? Funny, these professionally, paid scouts just might know a thing or two while not being perfect.

There seems to be some mild hype over Dickerson and some have suggested he could or should supplant seumalo and I'd ask what's the rush???

He's a rookie he's coming off Injury nobody expects eagles to compete this year seumalo isn't horrible, so what's the rush???

I'll take that for now

For this year?

My point is that being a #1 draft choice guarantees nothing except that you will tie a lot of money up in a guy who is more likely to bust than not. The vehemence with which some in here criticize Hurts astonishes me. Nothing I haven't said before, I acknowledge.

If you count field goals, then yes they did.  Outside of that the Pats didn't punt a single time.

What happened when Tom Brady didn't catch the sideline pass? I can't remember

I hardly see how pointing out that because of where he was selected, the scouts probably didn’t view him as a perfect prospect as "criticism”. Why else did he last until back half of the 2nd round? And if the #1 draft choice is more likely to bust than not, what does that make the 5th QB taken?

Well DANG.....Marc Zumov retired.  I've said it multiple times, my favorite sports announcer.  Totally bummed, Sixers games won't be the same without hearing him say

"And they're on their feet here at the Wells Fargo Center"

A super long shot...which should not be a surprise to anyone.

Ben DiNucci side arming passes doesn't inspire you?

He was the outlier, but I thought that was a given.

I am not a Sixers fan.  Curious, why no on this trade.  I would do it in a hot minute if I was the 6ers.

Replace Maxey with Milton and I’d be down.  I don’t want to lose Maxey.  Especially for a 31+ year old.

I'm sorry I don't understand the question, I think the, for now, was in response to another question. I could be mistaken.

What's the question you are posing?

What a glorious sequence of plays. That Jenkins hit on Cooks was awesome, and the Brady drop icing on the cake. F the Pats!

Personally I think Mario was  the best  , with Howe , Orr , Gretzky right there .

I wouldn’t guarantee that.

Hey man catch the England/Germany game? Good stuff

Lillard to the Knicks if I was a betting man. They are a PG away from being a perennial playoff team. Julius Randle had an abysmal playoff performance being the focal point on offense and constantly being double teamed. Add a bonafide scorer and distributor like Lillard and the Knicks are a Top 3 team in the East.

I think adding Lillard to any of the playoff teams would put that team closer to being a championship team

He's a great player he's just never had much around him other than McCollum.

Hey maybe he goes back to Utah, he played college ball there and he and Donovan Mitchell would be a lot to handle and having said that one runs into the same problem of having two smaller defenders on the perimeter.

Not sure how big 6ers other guards are but what you gain in offense with lilliard you lose in defense with Simmons leaving, not to say Lillard is a bad defender but he's not on the same level nor has the length Simmons does.

I doubt Lillard would want to go there because they aren't a contender with him.  And they really don't have assets to make a good offer for him either.
