He probably expressed some of his frustrations with them and everything is likely coming to the spotlight now. The communication with friends i agree with. Claiming fact based upon assumption and loose association i dont

That said, he's been all-about-the-Eagles ever since Andy Reid took over. Since reid yes. However i think that’s also cause they usually would give him scoops. I’m betting he’s irritated guys like mclane and others had some more detailed stories being leaked to them. He’s always been that way.

Claiming fact based upon assumption and loose association i dont I still think Kafka would take the job. Beinemy i might disagree cause there was a rumor put out there on cowherd today that he’s waiting for the right opportunity to come along as well. Kafka likely has to wait 2 years before he would likely get a HC job from someone around the league as he still only coached in the league for 5 years even if people think he’s extremely intelligent. If the eagles offered him the job I think he’d jump at the opportunity. also i don’t buy this he can’t be a leader of men. When we hired doug and heard his first press conference a lot of people thought he was an idiot especially after his Patriots/chiefs game explanation about why they didn’t hurry up. That was a question a lot of people had for doug. I actually think Kafka is likely much smarter. He went to northwestern and he’s always been spoken about being extremely intelligent from his rookie season until now. not saying they hire him but if offered I’d be shocked if he turned it down
January 12, 20214 yr The reality is no HC is turning this around for a couple years, when AR took over in KC, the roster was full of young, talented high draft picks, same thing in Cleveland. When AR took over here, two losing seasons combined with his first year meant three high pick drafts. Eagles haven't been losing long enough to get a few top ten/top forty combo drafts (that's the primary method of landing all pro talent). So the cap hit doesn't really matter, the rebuild would have happened anyway, the cap problems simply preclude patching with FAs into 8-8, 9-7 seasons and picking in the mid to late teens instead of the top ten for two or three years. I think Lurie and Howie think the Hinkie way, you don't rebuild to make the playoffs, you rebuild to get back to the SB. And when you're committed to a rebuild, you can take more upside chances in the draft, because you're not worried about the coming season or two but three years down the road. The fact that Howie was taking these kinds of players in the last draft (Taylor, Watkins, Bradley et al) suggests he was hedging his bets (since most players don't contribute until their 2nd season, he wasn't worried if they'd be ready in 2021 because he knew that would be a rebuilding season, like Sweat and Mailata, if it takes an extra year, it's worth it if you hit the jackpot). For a new HC, there will be a three year grace period during a rebuild (unless they're Jets bad, rebuilding doesn't mean totally stink out the house), at the end of which he'll get an influx of free agents to make a big time playoff push. If he can't make that work, he should be fired. That's why a bright young coach would jump at this job, while a veteran might not have the patience.

Like Berry was here for like 11 months and the browns knew who he was as he was there prior to here. That wasn’t some guy they built up from scratch. It’s as idiotic as the QB factory or gold standard statements.

Just about every post in this blog is people's opinions. Just because "imo" isn't posted after every post, doesn't mean it's not an opinion. As far as the Andy Reid coaching tree goes, if a coach from the Andy Reid tree ends up here, we can then dismiss the rumor as being false. If no one from the Andy Reid coaching tree comes here, then it will be one more piece of evidence. Simple, really.

Not really that simple the eagles might want to go away from the reid tree to go with something new like they did with chip aka now Lincoln Riley. Won’t get a definitive answer to that unless someone on the chiefs actually says it.
January 13, 20214 yr Lol I laughed when I saw the NFL app notification for Eagles top 10 plays of the season. Figured I click on it and see what they considered the top plays https://www.nfl.com/videos/top-10-eagles-plays-2020-season The Sanders fumble and JJAW recovery for the TD is on there lol Best play was a Wentz throw

And if they trade Hurts then they have no viable alternative for their new HC.
