I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

It's funny,  Your first sentence is because people say things like your second sentence.

I dont think anyone is negative about him. just realistic and he stinks.  The media is feeding you guys fake news, excuses (like you listed) and people are starting to believe in fools gold. So people(like myself) are just trying to point out the realistic of this situation.

I've posted this time line before but... 16 months ago we hated the pick. 12 months ago we knew we reached for him but figured he may be an "ok" backup for Wentz. Now we're saying things like well he had no off season, and he's going to be awesome, and he played really well 1 quarter of the 4 games so he's going to be AMAZING this year.

Who cares? It’s called being a fanatic. Let ppl enjoy things. It’s fine after the first time, but F it’s like an off-season of Hurts debate. Let it go.

I still don’t get why we’re so negative on Hurts. Rookie QB with no off-season, no pre-season, and thrown into a **** injured offense. If he sucks this year then who cares, are we expecting to contend? It’s a rebuild. Worse case we’ll draft a guy next year, best case he shows potential as a franchise QB.

Pointless bickering. Let people be excited about Hurts, F. Ruin someone’s excitement just to say ITYS 2 years down the line.

I think the point is that those that are "excited about Hurts" won't let people that aren't alone either.

Perfect example of how hate for Hurts will drive people here to skew everything against him.

I suggest you re-watch the full highlights of that game.  Hurts showed alot of good over the course of that game. To come back from down 16-0 in the first quarter to bringing the team back and making it again by half time.   Tying the game by the end of the 3rd.

Two really impressive drives down the field at the end of the 4th too. That 3rd and 21 pass to Goedert before the 2 minute warning should have been caught for a TD.  Great pass by Hurts.  The 4 and 21 too was also catchable but more understandable that Goedert dropped that with the defenders getting in there.   But he followed that up with another impressive quick drive down the field with under 2 minutes left to give them a shot at a hail mary that was dropped in the endzone as time expired.

To try and act like Hurts didn't flash in his second start and most of his stats came in "garbage time" is just nothing more then intentionally choosing to act ignorant to push the blatant hatred you have for a player.

So what you’re saying is he couldn’t put together a complete game, great, thanks for pointing out the obvious that everyone has been saying.

Cool, so tell me more how no one here has any irrational hate for Hurts?

When he gets inducted into the Eagles Ring of Honor.

The greatest QB in Eagles history should be already in.

Why opposing NFL coach says Eagles' Jalen Hurts will be 'very easy' to stop

"From what I saw, it will be very easy to stop that kid,” an offensive coach said of Hurts. "The Saints just weren’t ready for some of the stuff they did and he had some good runs. He had a couple wild throws, too. The next defense they play will have a plan for it and it’ll be much harder for him.”

Yea, but Teddy Bridgewater bro.

maybe that dope coach should have said it's easy to stop a offensive game plan called by doug

That is the first question.  Are Sirianni and Steichen going to bring a creative offense, and be able to adjust to defenses, and their adjustments to put the QB in a position to succeed.

It seems like some of you will be disappointed , if Hurts succeeds  .

Not one person has said that.  People are anointing him prematurely, because they are wowed by Sportscenter Top 10 plays.  That does not win games.  Talking about what he actually did in NFL games is not hate, it is the facts.

Of course there are negative people who post who want Hurts to fail to fill a narrative.  They want Howie gone and the best way to get there is for the team to implode, which includes Hurts. Then the ITYS's can begin.....

I wont be. But anything less then 11 wins and lights out play we have to move on.

You cant be on the fence about Hurts going into 2022 draft with 3 first.

😄😄

If you're expecting 11 wins and lights out play then you better move on right now.

He's already achieved the ultimate goal for an NFL player though

I want Howie fired regardless of how Hurts performs

Been saying it all along, Ertz won't be traded.  He's an Eagle at least until the trade deadline.

Zach Ertz is expected to show up to training camp in late July despite all the trade rumors, per Dave Spadaro.

Spadaro is still with the Eagles, huh?

Naw it’s just easy to see what he is. Low end starter/high end backup. He’s Tyrod Taylor with more athleticism. The Eagles nor any other team will ever treat him as a long term franchise QB.

If I’m wrong I’ll happily admit it.

I think I remember some in here liking him. I'd pass.

Also LOL at him requesting a trade.

Irrational hate? dudes a 4th rounder and was selected as a backup, showed us NOTHING in the 4 games and now people want to crown him

No one is crowning him.  There are only people aren't writing him off like his obsessive haters in this thread.

Are you new around here?  Every year, this board fights over the QB and his abilities (usually for no good reason).  Well this year, there is good reason to debate the QB's ability.

I’d take a shot on him with a late round pick, but not a 5th. He showed flashes at times. Doesn’t get a ton of separation but makes up for it with being good at contested catches. Also has great hands. Wouldn’t hurt to bring him in for competition at the X.

That offense is going to be terrible for years to come. I'd ask for a ton to stay and deal with that trash too

He sure has earned that right with his 45 career catches, 4 TDs and complete inability to separate.  Maybe Greg Ward should do the same here!
