I definitely won't be disappointed.  I am just not optimistic in general about the team.  I think the last 3 seasons were a complete train wreck in terms of team personnel, free agents and drafting.  The offensive play calling has been inconsistent to bad.  There has been little in the way of player development and very few bright spots.  On top of that, this new coaching staff doesn't inspire any great confidence that any of that will change.

The only coach I think could be better is Gannon.  I really think Schwartz just didn't really develop players and never adjusted to his personnel.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

No, I'm not expecting that at all.

I'm expecting 5-12.

BUT* In general, we cant hold on to him if we're still unsure. I think anything less than 11 wins is Unsure(i.e. move on)

We might win more than 5, but Hurts has a high likelihood of keeping us mid pack year after year after year and that simply is not good enough.  I'm all for playing this year out, but a quick hook back to #2 will not surprise me.

I’d take a shot on him with a late round pick, but not a 5th. He showed flashes at times. Doesn’t get a ton of separation but makes up for it with being good at contested catches. Also has great hands. Wouldn’t hurt to bring him in for competition at the X.

He costs twice as much as Fulgham and his contract is fully guaranteed this year and partially next year. I'd consider it if they could somehow swap him with JJAW. Otherwise, it's another project with no separation and offers no ST value.  I'd be hesitant to take on yet another project when the entire WR besides Ward are basically projects.

Of course there are negative people who post who want Hurts to fail to fill a narrative.  They want Howie gone and the best way to get there is for the team to implode, which includes Hurts. Then the ITYS's can begin.....

Or like me you just have no confidence in the guy, and also want Howie gone. But it's pretty rare for me to itys. Every once in a while

Low bar, but man if Johnson isn't better than Press Taylor and Steichen isn't better than the clown car they brought in last year at OC, this season is going to be unbearable.

I don't think you can judge Hurts by wins and losses this season. It's gonna be ugly I'm afraid and only expecting 4-6 wins myself. I think we can have a good idea if he is a starting caliber QB or not going forward by his play though. If he gets better as the season progresses, improves his completion percentage, decreases his turnovers, etc. We should know by the end of the season if it's time to move on or not.

I will be ecstatic if he really succeeds and leads the Eagles in a great direction.  At this moment though, my expectations for him fall far below that level.

I think I remember some in here liking him. I'd pass.

Also LOL at him requesting a trade.

He's the 1st round version of JJAW

yeah...you're also not one of the negative people who love their ITYS's I was referring to

Cam Newton is the worst starting QB in the league and averaged 24 attempts a game. He only completed like 14 a game. Unsure how many catches are possible playing with Cam

And before Cam he was playing with some bum named Brady.

Jalen "If my first read is covered it" Hurts

This.

Hopefully they both surprise us.

He was so bad the Patriots decided to overpay Agholor and Kendrick Bourne.

I just thought this was hilarious

For the record.  Depending on the cost, I’d be down for a N’Keal Harry trade.  I was all in on him coming out of college.  I don’t know how you couldn’t be.

Trade him for JJAWful

We should trade them JJAW for him then.

He was probably cut because he couldn't locate their facility.

Don't laugh...if he's available, there's a chance the Eagles could always bring him back.

Johnson is another one that I am hopeful about but I just don't trust Sirianni.
