Did your kids play on the football team?

No but they knew kids on the team, including ones that went to the NFL.  PSU alum are everywhere as are about any major college. I travelled a lot for work, nationally and internationally. I remember catching a nap at Reykjavik on a bench at the airport and letting my adult children know that the bench next to me was occupied by a girl wearing a PSU sweatshirt.  That is just one of lots of such sightings across the globe.  I recall walking the streets in San Francisco and my wife calling "We are” to have a number of people wearing PSU gear responding "Penn State”. Me, I just hold up a cougar paw sign and see others hold them up.  My father in law can call out "gig ‘em” and get an "Aggie” response.  My sister can hold up a set of Horns to get a "hook ‘em” response.   But those hundreds of thousands alums aren’t whispering in our ear like you thought maybe Miles was doing to Robinson.

Players say BS, beat reporters say BS, and I agree.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

And I doubt his kids work for the NFL Network.

Nope.  And they don’t do hot takes to drive viewership either.  My kids also haven’t been fired for sexual harassment like so many at the NFLN.  Are you that gullible or just that desperate to promote your negative reaction to Sirianni?

He also says teacher, and nothing about leader.

Which means I wasnt sure and I ended up being wrong.

I'm just sayin it's not that crazy that 2 guys that played football at PSU, although at different time periods, would cross paths and know each other.  Former players go back to campus all the time to check on the program, meet the players, catch up with old coaches, etc.  Just thought maybe this was the case.

Okay? When I posted that I never said anything about being a leader. That post had nothing to do with anything before said in this board. It was about him being able to develop players which was a failure with the last coaching staff.

Yea, I’m sure you posting that after arguing all day about a certain story that the actual tweet from Maadi quote tweeting Johnson who quote tweeted the same story has nothing to do with each other

Yet it wasn’t. Not calling you out, just agreeing it turned out to be a wrong projection.  But your projection made more sense that another poster herein that has some sort of agenda against Sirianni.

Do I think some player might say that the jury is out on Sirianni?  Sure.  But to tweak that into the doubt that Robinson projected and then follow up with that Yes Man crap just seems so much BS to me.  Of course, I have a tendency to doubt sports "journalism " these days.

You’re right. It’s related to the argument. It was about him developing players though.

What Robinson said is the equivalent to saying water is wet.  Of course a 1st time HC is going to have some players that may doubt him.  What he said wasnt breaking news but many will interpret it as Sirianni is in way over his head, he's lost the locker room already, etc.  And maybe he isn't HC material but regardless we will soon see.

All time best projected stats based on one game ever

Put that next to Travis Fulgham's best game extrapolated over the season and the Eagles might just have the best 1-2 WR combo of all-time.

Avant himself thought Sirianni looked really corny during his media appearances. It wasn’t until he met him in person that he was impressed with the guy. Of course there were players who would agree. It’s no big deal. At least not now.

I agree that it's no big deal, and if it is no big deal then why is it news? Because it's meant to be..................................................click bait. Any time a new leader takes over there will be some (and should be) that question him until they see what he is made of, that said I'm not sure why certain players felt the need to make it "public".

I was hoping for another video of him in the off season "he's a hard worker". Deadlifting is great but I doubt it helps him with his passing accuracy.

Yes.  Because I made Michael Robinson say this.     Talk about a weird hill to die on

Desperate would be me using a weird example of my kids going to PSU and knowing players or something and comparing it to an NFLN employee reporting something about a team.     That would be desperate.

The person I was responding to suggest since both Miles and Robinson were PSU alums, they might know each other because the quote was "players I know” and I was addressing the unlikely conclusion from that. Following the conversation and comprehension are not your strong suits.

Why?

Why spend your day actively disparaging a guy who does nothing but work hard and tries to do everything he can to succeed?

This isn’t Eagles propaganda BS. This is the guy he’s been since his freshman year in college.

No, I don’t think he’ll be good enough. However, I’m definitely rooting for him.

Staying Up to Date

This dude needs to stop creating new accounts every few months. Don;t they have a option they can just ban people from making multipe accounts. This has to be his 6th account in a year. DumbleBear, TrotterIsGod, DireWolf, how many others does this guy have?

Well another one of his accounts to the blocked list.

Banging fried chicken.  It's what they're known for.

Can’t say it’s terrible but they buy a marinated chicken product and then further brine it. Way too salty.

The guy who makes new accounts to post off topic posts is going into hyper drive

Makes sense.  Can I ask, how you know that?  Do you work in the Foodservice supply chain industry?   I only ask, because I have for 20+ years.

I have a retail food service location which prior to the pandemic sold fried chicken for 30 years. We were trying to transition away from it prior because of inventory, menu orientation, etc. My food salesman is pretty well connected and sells to Specs in Collegeville who does a huge fried chicken business. Royal Farms opened around the corner and didn’t impact Specs’ #’s at all. Reason? RF sells a different product. Marinated and brined. Specs buys fresh chicken and pressure brines it.

That said, our cole slaw is the best around. We were featured at the Nov ‘19 Taste of Philadelphia Food Show at the Valley Forge CC. We were about to have it in Giant markets, took samples to Giant corporate in Carlisle in Feb 2020. They asked how many stores would we like to be in, then March 2020 happened. About time to revisit although I’m not sure with all of the supply chain and employment issues it’s even feasible right now.
