I don’t mind the Eagles interviewing defensive coaches to be head coach. Only problem with that comes with that is if you do that and then you go after a good offensive coordinator that coordinator if he does a great job is likely to leave in 1 to 2 years for a head-coaching job. At that point then you have to go get another offensive coordinator which i don’t think is easy at all as we have seen from the eagles as reich left. If you do it the opposite way you might have to find a defensive coordinator as well. However in an offensive driven league I much rather have the offensive guy around a lot longer then having him snatched in a year or two if he is great.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

IMO, the Eagles can follow the KISS method

Bring back Carson, draft either Chase or Smith.  Having Sanders, Reagor, Chase/Smith, Goedert, thats a legit NFL group.  We dont need to make 100 moves to put am acceptable product on the field for 2021.

Thats one pick and literally no other moves.  Use the remaining resources to try and rebuild the OL and defense.

The turnaround can very quick, maybe even  year.

I don't usually but I completely disagree with you here.  I recognize I'm a full-fledged doomer now, but I think this team is in very poor shape moving forward.  Not expecting anything resembling a "quick turnaround."

The turnaround would be even quicker if they added another quality RB to Sanders and ran the ball enough to have some balance.

Never thought I'd say this but take a page from the Cleveland Browns.

That is really no problem, there are tons of them and Id be stunned if the new coach doesnt address that position group.a

If we can fix the OL and get some decent coaching with a sensible scheme, we'll have a respectable offense in no time flat

I think people are over looking the OL injuries and just how bad the coaching was at times.

At least you were hopeful going into last year. I was at the point of where you are now last off-season. The Eagles have set themselves up so poorly due to bad drafting and bad contracts. This isn’t going to be a quick rebuild. I think that’s also a smaller part of the reason why Doug wanted out. He didn’t want to sit through a rebuild and wanted to win immediately and the Eagles if you look at them aren’t in that position. Unless Carson Wentz or Jalen hurts plays like an MVP next year the likelihood is they’re going to be bad next year and the following year it might not be that much better

Yeah they have their own model. The cry and complain about the officials for an entire off-season to make a one year rule change trying to make themselves feel better. The Saints model!

Im not talking about competing for a SB, Im just talking about putting a product on the field that isnt embarrassing and that could actually compete on a weekly basis.

The hardest thing to find IMO is skill positions.  If they just take the no brainer pick, Chase or Smith will almost surely be there, then we're in OK shape on offense.  We should be able to mix it up on OL and find a combo (and for the love of god, try to stick with it)

Defense Im a little concerned about, but hell with the NFL any more its a luxury to have a defense.

Look at the Titans, they play basic football and their defense isnt very good and they were very competitive.  It can be done quickly with what we've already got

True, I think 2002 group of thrash Pinkston and freeman was good.

Not good enough but not bad.

Below average, in my book.

The Payton/Eagles rivalry is real.

When the Saints lose in the playoffs again (their offense is not good enough to win 3 more playoff games), we can take solace that Jalen Hurts knocked them out of the 1st round bye.

In today’s NFL you don’t have to have a great defense. Would be awesome if they did. You just have to get turnovers and be opportunistic. To me that’s been the Eagles biggest problem on defense. Since the Super Bowl year it has really regressed in that area.

The only difference between us and the Saints is that we are going to pick way ahead of them, those fing **** are done.

I'm turning 50 this year.  Is it time for me to put a lawn chair in front lawn and yell at kids?

It'll be fun to see how fast they fall once Brees hangs it up. I really hate that team.

Yeah, I'm not sure where these fans think Howie will draft a WR in the top 10. He just doesn't do that. He drafts Lineman, O&D in the top 10 or QB. Anyone hoping he drafts a WR that high, are just setting themselves up for disappointment.  Yet again.

SO either we find a great Oline, or Dlineman, a QB, or we trade back between 9-15 pickup a pick and then draft a Oline or Dlineman.

Howies had a top 10 pick twice and once was an obvious move for QB. The other time they wanted Dion Jordan and had to settle for a T. I don’t think you can definitely say what he will or won’t do.

This isn't surprising, given the recent reports that Lurie has been making draft picks and Howie pretty much runs everything.

Glad doug stuck up for Reich I don't think eagles win superbowl in 2017 without Frank which give more credence to the notion that Howie and Lurie are clueless.

Yes, welcome to the club!

Riley wanting to stay at Oklahoma is about as predictable as it gets. Maybe this turns into a Chip Kelly situation where it's a no for weeks that suddenly turns into a yes, but I highly, highly doubt it.

Just please whoever it is, let that guy be youngish with creativity and upside.

Sean Payton is about to find out just how overrated he is when Brees retires.

We are supposed to interview Saleh today correct?

No chance, but would be a home run hire.

Which option would you prefer

Option 1 - Parsons and Terrace Marshall Jr.

Option 2 - Chase and Jabril Cox

Also what do you expect Parsons to run in the 40?  He was timed at 4.43 as a Freshman at PSU

How the hell would a guy with 2 years under his belt, who was handed a dynasty a "home run".

Guess I'm Biased because outside of d-line and D-backs I dont trust ANYTHING out of OSU.

P.s. Justin Fields is gonna be a bust

I mean I would take him over Mayo or Bowles lol

I don't think the Eagles have "weeks" to clean up this P.R. mess.  IMO, they need to hire a coach ASAP.

Would be an incredible get for Detroit.
