Meh....I think there is a personal and political aspect to his Wentz hate.

Possible. However he was slobbering all over Bradford when we got him too and went in on foles. He tends to do this.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Honestly, guys. Read about it first.

Why would a top DC candidate want to come to a team whose HC is on a 1 year leash?

Are you referring to Bradley in LV? Or here?

If here, with Doug back the guy is going to have complete control over the D side of the ball, and can use it as an audition to take over the HC job when Doug is fired.

Yawn. They restructured them, big Fing deal.

All this is doing is Howie putting out the fires he himself started. Not gonna give Howie credit this offseason for fixing his own mess, sorry. He'll get credit once he starts drafting well for multiple seasons in a row. He can't rebuild his reputation in one offseason for all the damage he's done.

Not that he deserves to anyway. He needs to be gone immediately.

Is he cleaning up his own mess or sweeping it into the closets of 2022 and 2023 since 2021 is full of his crap already?

So it just ruins 2022+ cap?

Watkins

I think ideally hightower is suited for Z with his length and speed, but his lack of physicality and oblivion with the ball in the air makes him less then ideal.

Watkins seems to be the fastest of them all and I'm not sure he's physical enough to libe up on the outside consistently I could see him more as a motion slot movement guy.

Reagor is in the same boat skill wise as watkins and if I never see doug dial up another back shoulder fade to reagor on a teams best corner I won't be sad.

What the eagles need is an X receiver that can win jump balls make tough catches at the point and be physical at the LOS and catch point.

JJAW was supposed to replace jeffrey in that capacity obviously that didn't happen.

Chase fits that description as he's super physical at the catch point though I'm not really a fan of chase but he's a possible X in the aforementioned scenario.

I don't remember anyone saying move up to get Ruggs at all cost, but maybe  I missed it. I do agree Ruggs after the combine was rising up the board. From how I remember it, Jeudy/Lamb was a pipe dream and Ruggs was the guy until he moved up into that pipe dream level, then most people turned to Jefferson.

There was the major rumor the eagles were trying to move up for lamb the day before the draft. I think ruggs moved into the pipe dream cause most mocks getting closer to the draft had him in the 10-14 range after his combine and weeks leading up to the draft which was likely out of reach for us.

Tripling down on 12 personnel is exactly what we need to do right now.  Let's extend Goedert and draft Pitts.

F'that they should keep Ertz and re-sign Dick Rod and run 14 personnel.

That's a big question and a big problem with keeping Howie. He'll make shortsighted moves to keep his job. Sometimes you need to bite the bullet. He'll be feverishly trying to contend in 2021 because if they can't, he might be put on the hot seat. This team needs to be committed to a full rebuild.

I wish i had more likes/emotions left today

honest question cause i don’t have the answer who was the last tight end that went top 10 that actually lived up to being worthy of that selection? I know hockingson had a good year but really I’ve seen more tight ends go top 10 but never live up to expectations

Goodwin should be back next season.  There you go.  So no receiver at 6 🙂

Yay superbowlzzzz!

I think Howie overreacted to the need for speed. Everyone said the Eagles needed to get faster and they do need to get faster. But, it's almost as if Howie drafted WRs solely based on 40 times vs. who can be a complete WR that works every area of the field.  I agree that Chase is built to be more physical and more likely to be a complete WR vs. just a vertical threat.  But, I can't see Howie tying up more money on young WRs when we need to invest more money in other positions like CB, possibly DE (with Graham, Barnett and Curry being possibly on the way out) and OL (probably G but would have to be a trade down).

Still not great. He's just pushing 2021 dead money down the road into 2022

We're either looking at a tired old retread who will do anything to get back into coaching or Juan Castillo.

The one benefit to Lurie's irrational and undying adoration for Howie is that Howie may actually not feel any heat at all.  He may be so sure of himself and his job that he won't be afraid to make long-term decisions.

That was inevitable. There's no way you can get out of this mess without doing at least a couple of restructures.

This is actually smart by Howie.

Huh, I was not aware you could only designate two players as a post-June 1st release. News to me.

At some point the band aid will have to be ripped off.

Maybe fulgham can be a reliable X, if they choose to go that route his hands need to get stronger.

I'm not a fan of WR I think solid WRs can be found 2nd 3rd round, problem is howie couldn't find a needle in a needle stack so...

Whoa, slow down, that's too much speed on the field. Need to go 04 personnel with JJAW or Greg Ward.

Anyone have some mid round to Late round tight ends to watch? I’m guessing the eagles look for one in round 4-7
