Great route runner, huge production in a year in which he was surrounded by an NFL team playing against college teams that barely practiced. Was behind guys his exact age on the depth chart who went much later than he will go this year. Just not seeing it. Hes 6'1", which is taller than your "value" guy Waddle. And he is much, much more polished and its not close. And if his historic season this year doesnt impress you, then how about 2019? Look what he did to LSU for god's sake. He even clowned them again for 200+ yards this year in baton rouge. Show me anyone else whose done that. I count FOUR 200+ yard games in the last 2 seasons....does anyone else even have 1? I honestly dont know And Im not sure where youre getting this "sat behind guys his age on the depth chart" thing. He was ahead of Ruggs last year and outproduced both he and Juedy. All hes done is produce from the time he got to Alabama, he just chose to stay for his senior year because the draft was loaded with WRs last year.

January 4, 20214 yr This has become a clown show. I hope the owner is happy. Could not be less enthused about the #6 pick and the offseason. I would have accepted leaving Doug in place for what will be a non-competitive rebuilding team next year, and getting a new coach the following year... but keeping everyone responsible for this debacle of a roster and cap in place has taken the wind out of the sails. It takes away the hope that smarter people could be brought to bear to set a better course. I can't wait to talk again next year about some insanely stupid draft pick we made when an obvious better choice was there, or how great another team's draft pick is, or what free agents the Eagles can't sign because they have no cap space, or what veteran is breaking down for the 3rd year in a row because his contract has been extended to 2028... etc. etc. Nice job Jeff. Gold standard, for sure.

I’m guessing the eagles look for one in round 4-7 Jeremy Ruckert from Ohio State has a chance to make some money against Bama. PSU's Pat Freiermuth is a stud but coming off an injury. I'd be happy with either one of these guys in my proposed DG trade scenario.

I seem to recall @Iggles_Phan going over a lot that needs to happen Yeah... that's not even the first shoe to drop. Those two plus Goodwin "saves" $18M. They have to drop between ~$35M (if the cap stays flat) and $60+M (if it drops to $178M). So, thats only about half of the way to where they need to be... Wentz, if traded is basically a wash on the cap, but they need to be under the cap before trades are allowed under the current rules of the CBA. (Now, all bets are off if the NFL and NFLPA start writing addendums and amendments to the CBA due to Covid... we'll see what happens with that.)

January 4, 20214 yr I don't think it's any coincidence guys like Barnett and Alshon are two guys who declined to talk to the media and also are two guys who leave every game with some type of nagging injury. Aside from being devoid of talent, the Eagles are soft. I hope they get rid of every damn player on this roster who leaves every game with some type of injury. Barnett, Maddox, Peters, Alshon, DeSean... hell even Reagor appears to be one of them. I've said it before, the Eagles being the most injured team every year is virtually an impossibility from a chance perspective. I just think we have a roster full of a bunch of soft players who can't play hurt so it just appears that way. I'm sick of all the dudes who limp off the field 3 times a game, get rid of all them.

Could be the biggest coincidence that all the players we have are soft or just maybe it’s the culture set by the soft coach.

January 4, 20214 yr What type of value could the Eagles get for moving down from 6 to 9 with Denver. That might be a good place for teams to fight over moving up and drafting Zach Wilson, and by moving down to 9 they aren't going down too far. Since they wouldn't be drafting a QB it would essentially only be two spots for the Eagles. Also, that's exactly why you tank last night.

January 4, 20214 yr Ya know, in all this bad sportsmanship talk around yesterday's game, there was a player who stood out as being a pretty good sport. Ertz and the rest of the Oline were playing matador with Chase Young and he could have totally wrecked Sudfield a number of times. Instead, he just kind of knocked him down. Certainly appeared like he knew that he wasn't' being blocked and didn't use it as an opportunity to blast another player. The opposite of players like Clowney, Suh, Harrison and to some degree our very own Barnett. Young looks like a true superstar, talent and leadership-wise, in the making. Very unhappy that he is on the WFT.
