I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Daboll is going to the Chargers. It's down to Brady, Duce, Bieniemy, and Kafka with the Texans being the only competition left. I'm good as long as they don't hire Kafka.

I tend to think him going to the chargers is a p lock but I’d love to be proven wrong

Hoping it comes down to Lurie throwing a crap ton of money at him which the Chargers owner will not do. They are a much cheaper organization then us looking at the past.

We don't need him for 5 years. We just need him to get Wentz back on track.

Is this confirmed?

If Daboll goes to the Chargers as expected, I feel pretty good about where we’re at with candidates. We weren’t one of the best two or three jobs so Daboll was always a pipe dream in my mind. Smith was probably a long shot too.

With it being us vs Houston, we probably look pretty good for someone itching to make the jump.

If Brady really does have a great staff lined up, he’s my guy.

If you're gonna hire older coordinators, one thing you'd want to check out is their track record for hiring assistants who go on to be successful coordinators.

That is, can they identify and train their own replacements?

I guess. Let him be the QB coach. If we’re hiring Duce, I want an OC who can grow with the team.

You think New Orleans has a rosy outlook ahead? Somehow, they're in worse cap position than we are, and while they do have a shot at a Super Bowl this year, if they don't win it, they're in big trouble. Brees is likely done. You think Taysom "I can't beat Jalen Hurts" Hill is the QB answer for them?

I never mentioned or discussed the Saints future because I don't really care.  But to answer your question, no......their future looks pretty sheety.  One thing I'm confident in is that they will definitely draft better than the Eagles, as they have consistently done over the last 5-6 years.

''Confirmed'' by using common sense

If Duce is promoted within to HC, do the Eagles get an additional draft pick with that new diversity rule?

Cool, I know 31 other teams that don't want players running through steel walls.

No

picks- (2) 3rd rounders

I would think that would be a yes. Not sure why it would matter if its internal or not. ? Some otehrs might know better

We are going to hire 66 year old Caldwell as HC and 73 year old Wade Phillips as DC so our players look younger by default.

Counter back to 0 days without a shirtless pic/selfie

Make that 17, unless we've reset the clock.

It has to be external, you have to lose the coach/GM. Plus they probably don't want teams promoting from within just to exploit the draft pick system

Brady is the guy I would want thats left. imo You are better off getting him a year too soon then waiting because I think he’s going to be a good head coach in this league. He’s very good at scheming and designing and being innovative. He lacks experience. It’s why I would team up with a defensive coordinator that has a lot of experience ans an offense of coordinator that also has a lot of experience. I  wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what his coaching staff is comprised of when he does interviews

That said if they don’t go after him I would still take Kafka over the Bieniemy. I’m just not that impressed with Eric Bieniemy. If I had to choose between the two I am going to go with the guy the Andy Reid has at his right hand man and worked with Patrick Mahomes and their passing game. Plus he’s a former QB. While Doug was also that I don’t think Doug is nearly as smart as Kafka

except if its Bieniemy, then this does not apply

One thing I've heard multiple people say about Kafka:

He's smart, but he's an introvert. He's unassuming, and doesn't talk a lot.

I think that would make for a really awkward head coach. Especially if there's any chance Wentz stays, he's proven to only respond to vocal coaches who challenge him.

But Lurie and Howie are kinda awkward, so it wouldn't surprise me if the two dweebs don't even factor that in.

Why do you think Kafka is smart? I must be missing something that hes done.

This is directed at Joe Brady, I'd imagine?

What does everyone think of the John Kincade show on 97.5 the fanatic. I don't see it as a major improvement over the prior show with Marc Farzetta. They should have gotten rid of Cooney while they were re-branding. Dude just constantly ****es and complains about everything.

Oh God. This stupid ass organization is gonna hire Mike freaking Kafka, get called racists for 10 years, and Joe Brady is gonna drag some other team with dog crap personnel on offense to a top 10 ranking. I hate this team.

Duce > Kafka
