That seems back assward.  You want teams to develop diverse coaches and GMs but if you do that and promote (suggesting a diverse organization) there is no reward but if someone poaches that employee, you do.

But if you promote solely to get the draft picks it becomes exploitative. Also, the way it’s set up could work against itself anyway. Why hire anyone from a division rival if it gives the team two draft picks? It’s just a dumb rule anyway you want to look at it.

No he’s going to be the offensive coordinator. Clearly Rick Moranis is more of a leader and has experience whereas he doesn’t have that yet

This kids probably older than Joe Brady lol

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Kafka is Doug 2.0. A younger "yes" man. Lurie said in his PC he is looking for a leader of men, Doubt Kafka fills that role. So maybe hes a offensive great mind? Dont see that either. So Im still trying to understand why people think hes the guy. Only reason I heard was he was smart cause he went to NorthWestern.

Kafka may still be an OC target. Interview his to get a feel for that.

I mean if we hire both of them we got Elliott’s replacement

Two Flyers wins over the classless Turd Penguins is a solid start to the season

Those black uniforms are garbage; wonderful idea to have black jersey numbers on black jerseys

I actually like the retro reverse better than the black ones. But I’m not overly impressed with either.

That’s actually a really good point. If Bieniemy gets passed over again Kafka may want to leave to be an OC somewhere now that the Chiefs can’t block him.

He might be in real life now.  That movie has to be close to 20 years old or older.

If they end up with Kafka.......UGH.......

@LeanMeanGM

i mean if moranis and the kid turns us down this is a hell of a staff put together that the eagles should consider

Of all the possible picks, Mika Kafka is the least inspiring option.

At least with Duce we could reward a lifelong Eagle.

Was planning a nice long vacation for 2021 once COVID dies down and things open up. If the Eagles hire Kafka, gonna book those tickets for early September 😉

Not sure how the defense will look moving forward, but if Koramoah is there at 37, he'd be intriguing to develop into a Malcolm Jenkins type role.

I fee like I might be the only guy who doesn't get the Brady hype. I didn't see much out of the Panthers this year that made me feel like he's the next McVay.

Would rather have someone like Daboll or Greg Roman.

Yep, not to mention you have half the locker room coming out on social media campaigning for him to get the job. If they go with Kafka they have officially become a bad franchise over night.

Interesting thread to click on from a former NFL DB.

I would drive off a bridge if we hired Kafka. It would mean we'd have passed on guys like Daboll, Roman, Martindale, Carmichael, etc.

We might be able to trade down and get Ja'Marr Chase. 🤐

Here is my biggest problem with Kafka among many. Caplan and Mosher were talking the other day about how he doesn't have a commanding presence about him. So he's 34, doesn't have the experience, the team is in a bad way, and they want to bring in a guy who by all accounts won't immediately have the respect of the locker room. It would be a gross hiring and the final nail in the coffin that Lurie and Howie are 100 percent utterly clueless.

I was just saying the other night after revisiting the Clemson/LSU national championship game where Chase dominated, he was actually pretty well covered on most of those plays.

One of his big wins early on,  on a deep ball was wide open at the end of the play only because of an arm bar that he probably only got away with because the CB was hand fighting too. But it very well could have been called PI, abs Terrell was with him up to the push.

He wasn't a big separator on that night.

They do realize the guy on the left isn't coming with him

By my count, including Covid Reserves and PUP, the Eagles have 84 players currently on the roster and three more still on the PS and not signed to future contacts.  So who are the 34 that won’t run through a steel wall for Duce?

He never mentioned that they were even on the team, just in the city. Most of the roster players are likely not in Philadelphia.
