I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

So Staley supposedly would bring Niners co-OC McDaniel as OC.

What kind of connection does Duce have with him? Plus is LeFleur is already going to the Jets I’d imagine they would promote the other guy to OC. I guess calling plays might tempt him to move though.

Curious as to who the olineman was that went to howie about removing wentz. I’m guessing peters. Likely cause peters disliked everyone saying how awful he looked this year. And he has enough clout to do it. Would say kelce but kelce came to the forefront to defend wentz. And i believe lane did as well and was out most of the season. Peters was out but he came back as well. I don’t think it would be someone like mailata or herbig

Clearly it was Jamon Brown

Come on, man, let's stop this. What exactly do you think Carson needs to be successful? An All-Pro team around him and Bill Belichick?

Speaking of Belichick, some Jets fan called in to Kirwan’s show unhappy about the Saleh hiring and asked why the Jets didn’t consider throwing a blank check at Bill Belichick and put him in charge of their organization.  I guess he might not have remembered how Belichick did an ultra-McDaniels to their organization some years ago.

Kirwan was almost apoplectic .... too bad it was at the end of the program.   😂

On McDaniel’s Wikipedia page it actually lists him as Niners OC (2021 - )

You work fast .....

How did this team go from a Super Bowl to being arguably the least desirable coaching gig in the NFL all in 3 years

Is McLane in the QB room?

I take it you never watched the PCs? He always took the accountability

You take incorrectly.   Of course my meager disclaimer earlier today was ...if...all this is true it bummed me out because I think an optimal Carson is a great QB.

Actually, if I'm a smart young HC, I'd love the Eagles gig, two years to install my stuff, build up a young core of players with no pressure to win, and two young QBs who give me options, rather than drafting one instead of an impact player with #6. So when the pressure to win comes, I'll be in my third season, a lot more experienced and able to bury my mistakes.

Now if I'm a veteran HC, I'd rather go to the Chargers with a young QB and accept the "win now" challenge.

Brandon Staley, not Duce.

Staley is 38. He coached in Chicago, Denver and LA.

He has access to the Nagy coaching tree, Fangio tree and McVay tree. He could likely get some good assistants.

Not impressed by any of them coaching trees, esp on offense. Yes even McVay.

2 recent reports that were bashing Wentz turned out to be just opinion pieces. Past ones were clearly Alshon

Don't think I'll ever understand the hate Wentz gets

Sorry, it was Brandon Staley.

And then be fired even when you have some success because your QB doesn’t listen to you and the owner can’t blame the GM, who is awful at acquiring worthwhile talent. Also when they push out your coaches because they won’t allow you to have control. Sounds like a great gig to commit career suicide.

Wentz isn't a young QB though? And his contract also limits what you can do with the roster around him... Especially with a GM who is so bad in the draft.

And Pederson got totally away from the short passing game

Wait, they got away from the short passing game?  Did I fall asleep and miss 3 seasons of Eagles football?  That’s basically all that exists in the playbook.

If they got away from that they’d just have to punt on first down, because they sure as crap aren’t going to throw deep or run the ball.

How exactly did the team with THE lowest yards per pass attempt in the nfl and THE lowest air yards per pass and one of the higher pass/run ratios in the NFL get away from the short passing game?

The only time they get away from that is the bye week.

The Eagles were impressed With Arthur Smith so what happened.

He's middle aged in an NFL sense. QBs can play into their 30s. We also have a couple in their 40s now. It's funny when the contract was first reported everyone thought it was great

That's because there is always a group of Eagles fans like always jump ship on a QB after one bad season or even a few games. The favorite QB is always the backup here.
