Religious aww shucks gun lover in Philly.   I guarantee it explains some of the hate.  It can’t be just about one bad season.  No way.  It’s not rational.

I think it still largely stems back to nick foles. I think there were more people who wanted to go with foles better or worse then Carson. They would’ve been fine if Carson went elsewhere and had success even if foles went onto do what he did in Chicago and Jacksonville. Once foles beat the Patriots there was always going to be a great divide and the loser of the divide would hold it against that QB going forward unless the QB they chose played like they did in 2017. And it would be even worse if the QB who left played great

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Man, a tank looks good on paper until you have to watch it live. Felt like I needed a shower after watching the game last night.

No lie, I think that was my favorite game of the season.

The only parts that made me a little worried is the D somehow finally getting a multiple turn over game. Everything else was just hilarious.

I’ve never hated a current player on the Eagles as much some hate Wentz.  I hated T.O. after the fact.  I didn’t like some players as a player.  But hate them?

Maybe Micheal Bennett, but while he was a player here I cheered him and welcomed him.

Foles is the same type of guy as Wentz too.  Sure there was a small sect that hated him as well.  Honestly, the Carson Wentz hating sect to me seems like the vocal minority.  Some of us who know what we're seeing and see the larger picture know Wentz isn't the issue.  He might have been part of it, but it wasn't him and him alone.

But then again I still don’t understand the irrational hate towards McNabb.  It pisses me off actually.

McNabb I loved when he was here...hell the only game I’ve ever been to in Philly was when he came back to have his jersey retired. But his post football career makes him come off as a whiny bish

Closest player I disliked was Vick because of the dog thing but I felt I had to forgive him because he really did change and paid the consequences. Now I just wonder if he had actually studied the game would he be in the HoF

Wasn't Bennett pretty good when he was here too? Or maybe I'm remembering wrong

Maybe it’s because he’s a ginger? Usually that’s reason enough to hate somebody

I loved McNabb up till his last 2 years here.  I tolerated him at that point.  For better or worse, he was the constant that kept us competitive and going into each season with optimism.

I didn't realize Treyvon Hester was back on the PS.

I hated Jason Babin, even during his 18 sack season.

The WFT WTFs.

Exactly.  Like I said.  Personal/political motives.

Maybe but the most political thing he said was to come out on issues of racial justice.  He's vocally religious as are a lot of players from all backgrounds. I mean he's an avid hunter but it's not like he's appearing in NRA videos.  He's spent a lot of time volunteering in Haiti.  He just seems like a decent human being.  I can't understand it either.

Cool, looking forward to hearing about how Burnett and Ostman are tearing it up during TC and deserve to make the roster.

Butler, have to keep our fade man. And especially need to keep Holyfield, he's waaaaay to valuable for this team.

The only guy that moves the needle at all for me is Hester.

Jason Babin was a symptom of a team and coaching staff I disliked.

I'm hoping Matt Leo will show some potential as a DE. He's a big dude at 6'7", about 275

I was actually against signing Michael Vick but I gave him a ton of credit he really changed his life around. There’s a lot of people who go to prison that that doesn’t happen and they just revert back. He genuinely seems like he changed his ways and became better for it. I respect that.

He's just really, really old.

You're right, I didn't realize he was 28. Well, F that idea.

What would his scheme be?

Nah.  Foles isn’t a hunting nut.

If we're talking strictly about hunting, I think you're right.  I was going with the aww shucks, god fearing and humble type guy.  He's a good ol' Texas boy, who IIRC has a love for fishing, not necessarily hunting.  Oddly, Cox and Trent Cole are/were beloved figures and they're even more avid hunters than Carson.  Hell Cole has his own hunting network.  Then again there was the huge ordeal of Cox taking Wentz out hunting after his surgery a few years ago, posting pictures in their blind with his cast.  So maybe?

29 in a few months.

I wonder if demeco is against the whole linebackers thing. Might be a deterrent for the eagles in hiring him if he’s not on board

Yup, Vick is one of the very few success stories of the rehabilitation system.  He continued his work and programs into his retirement.  It wasn't a save face to look good while I'm back in focus.  It doesn't excuse what he did in any part, but to see actual remorse was refreshing.
