Wait, I stepped away from the TV to have some dinner. Jameis threw a TD pass? Lol. America’s QB.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I want the best guy. Don't give a crap about the morality stuff, it means nothing to me. We have one SB in my lifetime. I'll sacrifice virgins to win another, I don't care.

I'd hire Ted Fing Bundy if he was a good football mind. Gimme parades, life is short.

And if he's caught cheating here? Eagles can lose draft picks and get fined. Why chance it? Though I don't think he's the best guy out there though

Not gonna make playoff runs with Matt Cassel and a shot Cam Newton. McDaniels was part of the teams that had the most success though too.

I think the Denver concerns are legit, but I don't think the offense without Brady criticisms stand up to scrutiny.

Here’s a great stat for you without the four special teams/defensive touchdowns this year, The patriots scored 302 points this year. That 18.9 points per game for the genius you think is this great coach. So he’s a genius but he can’t get more than 19 points per a game. Meanwhile the eagles down 4 starters on the oline, DeSean, reagor, sanders missing a couple games manage to score more points than that team and had bad QB play. that team stayed relatively healthy all year besides Sony Michel who was replaced by harris who was better and Edelman who was bad before the injury.

you don’t finish Fing dead last in points per game without Brady. If he was middle of the road I would agree with you. But he finished 32nd and 27th and the two most recent times he didn’t have Brady. That’s just bad that’s awful.

Yup, wildcat formation, he was lined up at flanker.  Then, fake reverse toss back for the bomb.

It was a nice play design too

Prediction:   Phillies have just made their final offer to Realmuto (according to reports)... Realmuto signs the deal, and within the same hour that that news breaks, the Eagles will leak their HC choice.  Guaranteed.

Wentz is MUCH better than Cam Newton — even in 2020

Don’t disagree. However the patriots only had two major injuries to that offense all year. Julian Edelman who was bad before the injury and who Brady could make look great. and Sony Michel who was actually replaced by Harris who was better than Sony Michel.

don’t give me he’s some genius meanwhile without 4 defensive/ST tds the Patriots averaged 18.9 ppg.

Doug > McDaniels

Pats had a ton of dudes opt out as well

It's one year, you're making way too much of it. Their offense lacked weapons, Cam Newton was awful. I really don't care what their team did this year tbh. Don't even factor in in whatsoever when I'm evaluating McDaniels.

If worst comes to worst and he sucks then the Eagles will get a high draft pick. Win/win.

Might as well just hire doug back. At least the players will play hard for him and he’s not a complete dope.

Most of them were on the defensive side of the ball. Which wasn’t their issue. They finished 7th in the league scoring defense.

BTW... shame on the Bucs defensive backs.   You see Winston out there, he's not there to run with the ball... the DBs on that side of the field need to stay with their man, not sneak a peek in the backfield.   If Winston is window dressing, fine... give up 15 yards on a run.  You can't let a WR get behind you on a play like that.

He had 4 years without Brady and every time he didn’t have Brady he finish bottom half of the week. He finish 18th, 19th, 27 and 32nd. That’s called a trend. It’s not one year. you keep being delusional about it when he hasn’t had Brady he’s been bad. Anyway you want to slice it he has not been good without him.

Could you make any more excuses up for him? And you think people have excuses for Carson wentz. At least Carson has only been crap for one year, he’s been crap for four without Brady and you’ve given him every excuse

I don’t think any HC candidate has been invited for a 2nd interview yet, so unless that happens any in-depth debate is premature.  Lurie is casting a wide net and it appears interviews will stretch into the end of January, with one of KC and BUF playing in the Super Bowl — unless they’re out on either Bienemy or Daboll

You mean to tell me an offensive coach has looked better when he's had a good QB running the offense, and worse with average to bad QB's. In other news, we landed on the moon.

If the goal is to salvage Wentz then McDaniels might be one of the best options especially since he will not be intimidated and hold back from getting into it with Wentz like he wasn't afraid to with Brady.  All these reports about how Wentz treats the coaches like pushovers, he won't be able to do that with Josh.

All it takes is for one person to wow them in an interview and things can change real quick.

It's a legit reason. The Chiefs offense is not the same without Mahomes. When you lose all-time great QBs, your team isn't gonna look as good. Think Reid and Bieniemy would still have a top 10 offense with Henne for an entire season? I doubt it. Top 15 maybe. I mean, what did you expect without Brady? Did you think he was gonna have a top 10 offense? You're not being realistic.

Kyle Shanahan this season was 21st in scoring without his QB. He's one of the best offensive minds in the sport, if not the best.

Gonna have to agree to disagree on this. I don't think it's as big of a deal as you're making out.

They should have known the ball was going deep

I could totally see Howie and Jeff just swooning over McDaniels in this 9 hours and counting interview.   Jeff has always wished to be that New England organization.  Wouldn't be shocked if we hear tomorrow he was offered the job tonight.

Yep. They have interviewed several people at this point, some of which who are now off the market. Mcdaniels checks off several boxes that would be enticing to Lurie. If the interview really has been going on for 8 plus hours it wouldn't shock me what so ever to see the interview continue into tomorrow with a job offer.

Well you wouldn't get the best guy and would still have Ted Bundy.

The chiefs have won 2 games without mahomes the last year. When he hurt his knee they went 2-1 games and scored points. When Matt Moore played for the chiefs last year they scored 26, 24 and 30. So on average 27 ppg with their backup. Just proves the point that good coaching can make your back up look competent. Meanwhile he had starters out there and he couldn’t get to 20 points per game. You are telling me Newton now is worse than Matt Moore who people thought was done and he never was really good

you’re right I don’t expect him to have a top 10 offense. I don’t expect him to be 27th in the league. I also don’t expect him to finish 32 in the league

Kyrie shanahan was also without kittle, mostert and deebo Samuel for a large portion of the season. Not just his QB. Lol

They’re really poor poker players if that’s the case.  McDaniels doesn’t have any other interviews or interest from other teams currently.  They can have him wait and finish their interviewing, then gauge him against the best alternative.
