We sure irsay is going to be sober on that call?

It’d be McDaniels’ only chance for a job offer

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

WIthout question.  However, if he checks out clean and honest boy he could be the kind of guy that gets Wentz to listen.  It's pretty exciting to think about.  Of course that's best case.

Take a look at what Houston looks like right now... that's what it will become.

Tyler Johnson showed those same hands at Minnesota.

He dropped a lot of passes at Minnesota.

Minnesota has Bateman coming out this year too. Both were very good for Minnesota. If we weren’t picking at 6 i love Bateman as a prospect

What is that flag for?

Nope.  Purely based on empirical evidence.  Name all the Patriot assistants that went on to success elsewhere.   Take your time.

That literally has ZERO bearing on whether or not Mcdaniels would be successful here

I don't know if we're that far off from Houston to be honest.  Lurie and the Eagles just have a much better track record and reputation carrying him through this right now.  The Eagles as an organization if we take off our green shades are a mess.

None of the other candidates have a resume separate from Belichek.  And he’s still a better candidate than most of those guys.  I think the dislike for McDaniels and the Pats is clouding a lot of people’s judgement.

Romeo Crennel had a great resume... crash and burn.  Bill O'Brian... wow, crash and burn.   Charlie Weis too, and he went to college to suck.

It's not about hatred towards the Pats, its about cold hard facts.  The objective facts are that the fruit that comes from that coaching tree rot once taken off the branches.

Ok. Then I can build the case on his disastrous tenure in Denver.   That works just as well.   Either way, the facts say, "buyer beware."

The yellow ones are for penalties.

Or in that case, for the official to blow his nose, because there was no foul on that play.

Just now, 4for4EaglesNest said:

Sorry.  But your reasoning is silly.  He’s not Romeo Crennel.  He’s not BOB.  He’s not Weiss.

No, he's not.  He's the guy that failed in Denver, then walked out on the Colts.   That's much better.

Yeah I like him a lot too. He should go later round one but he will actually be good, unlike the players we get later in the draft 🙎‍♂️

Even if he isn't, you probably wouldn't get a more honest answer

McDaniels was there for all 6 SBs, a little different than some of the other Belichick "tree" coaches

Hed still have to have a world class interview to even be considered, though

Yep. People acting like a bunch of guys with zero head coaching success/experience in the NFL are clearly better candidates than Mcdaniels is laughable. This entire coaching cycle was/is full of unknowns. Acting like any of these candidates stand out among the rest is extremely flawed.

You do realize that is all purely coincidental.

And that would actually be a fair point, unlike citing coincidence. It's buyer beware for all of the candidates since none of them have had experience/success as a head coach at the NFL level.

hahahahahaha!!!

I wonder what it's like to have real playmaking linebackers 🤔

Sean Payton will have had the best roster in the NFL for 4 straight years and will NOT have made a Super Bowl😁

Vrabel, Crennel (Chiefs were a ish show back then), ummmmmm IDK.

Why would Kamara think Brees is gonna throw the ball more than 8 yards?

I don’t even know why he’s bothering.  I thought it was assumed that he’s got the NE job whenever Belicheck hangs it up.

That’s what i thought. people thought this for years. belichick isn’t exactly young that he’d be given the job. Possible Kraft doesn’t want to hold him back from other opportunities. Could also be Kraft isn’t going to go in that direction.

Good thing some NFL teams didn’t give up on some other coaches that failed at their first stop.

Yes.  Some teams also make the same mistake that other teams have made in the past.   Kotite sucked in Philly... Jets decided that he was the guy to fix their problems... that didn't work.

Wade Phillips sucked as the HC in Denver.  Then sucked in Buffalo, before sucking in Dallas.   Some guys just don't have what it takes to be the HC.

There are countless others, but I won't give you the list.  I am prejudiced against McDaniels, but the prejudice isn't necessary to say that he's got a lot of baggage to overcome.    Just a little while ago, plenty of folks were bashing the idea of Duce Staley for HC or even OC, because no other teams were interviewing him for either job.  Last I heard, the Eagles are the only ones knocking on McDaniels' door right now.   So, are all the other teams stupid and Lowie are once again, smarter than everyone else, or maybe the other teams might know something about McDaniels.   It doesn't work both ways.  If Duce is bad choice because no one else is interested... then applying that same criteria to McDaniels... he's just as unqualified.
