I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I don’t know if any of you have listen to inside the birds podcast from this morning. However the first 10 minutes of that podcast are pretty good and a good lesson. You get a lot of sense of what other organizations and people around the league are thinking in terms of the Eagles. It’s worth the listen just for the first 8 1/2 minutes

That would be like us firing Dawkins from being G.M.

Flyers fired Bobby Clarke.    It happens.

That was going to be my choice - but since I asked the question, I thought it best to not offer a candidate.

I wonder if the Eagles would just give Ertz away for like a 5th. As mediocre a year as he had, I wouldn't trade him for anything less than a 3rd.

Looks like we hit a record number of people online tonight (actually, it's after midnight now, so it was technically last night)... 618 people online at the same time. I think it was previously 526?

Here's what that did to the server:

618.JPG

We hit 66% CPU utilization, but no server faults occurred (look at the image a few posts up and you can see how it looks when there's faults, it's the very light blue... or cyan colored line).

I wasn't on at the time, so I don't know how the board responded when that peak period hit (11:36 PM Eastern). Did anyone notice any issues?

Probably spreads the fixed costs and makes them easier to trade.  I doubt either is an Eagle next year.

They can't trade them.  Who in their right mind who take either one of them in exchange for anything?    The restructures is EXACTLY what I feared and why I 100% wanted to see Howie booted out.  He's taking money from 2022 to pay for the mess he created in 2021.  It was predictable and its the WORST thing he could do.  The only exception is if he's getting these guys to take LESS money to go away.  I don't see that happening though... no way.

Chase doesn’t have close to the speed Watkins had coming out.

From the sound of it, it seems like he basically cut their 2021 salary (which was non guaranteed anyway) and is going to post June 1st them, so in a way he's getting his cake and eating it too. He gets some relief for 2021 in March and then it becomes open to use in June. It sucks that he is pushing some dead money into 2022, but I don't think this move creates any more actual dead money then they would have had to take on.

Working my way down the pressers, Graham is an amazing dude.

Yup.  Most likeable players from the Super Bowl team, IMHO... Celek and Graham.

Listening to Graham and hearing him say Jalen can compete for a composition vs Carson leading this team again is quite telling.

Do you have a link?

I don't think Wentz owes Bowen jack.

Some people are F’ing stupid. Wentz is totally avoiding it being a side show and the stupid people just go on about their stupidness.
2 weeks in a row Schefter, than Mortensen. " Respected guys” in their field . After they report it, people completely S___ on the guy. Days later "oh wait, he never said that”.
F’ing stupid people. Who can blame the guy for thinking maybe I should go somewhere else.

And your team loses.  Seven needs on offense?  How do you figure that? Let’s go with not depending on Brooks and Lane.  That is maybe two OL, if Kelce retires.  Dillard to LT, Mailata to RT, Driscoll to either RG or LG and Seumalo to C.  Herbig slides back to reserve C/G and we draft a G or C/G. May need a swing T if Wanogho can’t go or they don’t think Toth has a shot.  QB is Wentz.  Quit giving up on WRs after their first year.  You would have given up on some great WRs.

Meanwhile in a deep S and CB draft you are adding more to the offense.  That’s nuts.

Not everyone is set on Dillard at LT with Mailata at RT.  Tackle may need to be addressed.  Brooks has 2 achilles out the door.

We can't pull our hair out over the infinite OL shuffling this year and then turn around and say we only have 2 needs along the OL.

I'm not giving up on Reagor, but I'm also not optimistic.  If we can draft a TE with our top pick when we have a pro-bowl TE...then my God...what do we have to do at WR when we have 0 good ones?  Even IF Reagor turns into a stud, we need a #1 and a #3.  No self respecting offense should have Greg Ward on the field for 99% of the snaps leading the team in targets.

And let's be real...on top of all this...we need a franchise QB.  It's not Wentz.  It sure as hell isn't Hurts.

Yes...ALL of this...matters 10x more to me than who the hell our starting in-box safety is for the next 3 years.  I don't even care enough to type out the name of the position again.

I wish Ertz had Celek's effort

Watching those interviews today.  It was hard to watch Ertz with all of that emotion.

BG was BG.

The Hurts interview was hard to decipher.  His communication style is really different, but the media kept steering and steering and steering him towards the answers they wanted.  He sure seems like a polite, respectful young man.

It’s even harder to say Ertz doesn’t care ... but that’s just my opinion.

Apparently, Jalen needs to work on his writing.   Essay contest for the young man.

Basically discussed how people viewed last night. Talked about doug pederson and how people around the league view him and how there’s people around the league who believe he might actually be trying to get himself out of here with some of the things he’s said this year. Sorry not a great version of cliff notes. It’s way more detailed than what i said. It’s worth the 8 mins

I mean it's not like Hurts was even playing that well.  So the whole protest over the change is just attention seeking nonsense.

7 for 20 for 72 yards and 1 INT isn't good?

that failed TD pass that couldn't travel 22 yards?

Only PS player I am surprised isn’t signed is Wanogho.  I didn’t expect Howard and Tucker and Killins are just on and offs.  I think McGill played some of the Vinny Curry role last night.  Part DE/Part DT.

Isn't he already under a 3 or 4 year contract as a draft pick?

No, he was cut and on the PS

It’s funny cuz Wentz has never cried nor complained about anything. But sure you keep crying about that and spreading that narrative.

He's smart enough not to do it publicly.  Instead he uses targeted media leaks planted by his people to undermine and attack the team that has coddled and enabled him nonstop for 5 years right before games.

Then his Washer brigade can defend him and say "Carson didn't say it!", as if they have zero clue how this works.

Plausible deniability so he can keep his manufactured squeaky clean image intact with people who are naive enough to fall for it.

The Eagles are a dumpster fire. And they added styrofoam with last night's performance.

I'd be so interested to see what we do at the LB position if we hired Ryan's for DC.

Also wonder which system he would run.  He played in both.  Not sure what he coached in his coaching career.

Not being talked about at all is the amount of good safeties in this draft.  The Eagles would be wise to take at least 1 maybe 2.

We desperately need a playmaker back there.  Someone like Andre Cisco or Jevon Holland.  You can't really stop offenses anymore, so the defense should focus on takeaways.

Would love to get one of those guys w/our 2nd rounder.
