I still think that they will go with Duce Staley.

Duce - HC and they bring in Kafka as the OC (If he takes it...which could happen if Bieniemy stays in KC) and maybe Wade Phillips as the DC.

There will be alot of people upset if Bieniemy doesn't get a HC job.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Are you suggesting they bring in a brand new head coach without an O.C.?   That would likely never happen...especially with a new head coach.

I'm suggesting they bring in a head coach who is the brains in the operation and is the one who takes on the task of developing the QB (Wentz or otherwise) as opposed to delegating the bulk of that responsibility to the OC.

Someone better hire Bieniemy so that I don't have to hear it.  I'd be fine if it were us.

So because they didn't meet your expectations yesterday, the guy sucks.., Ok, got it 👌

Yeah, that's exactly what I said.

Sorry you got your feelings hurt just because I'm not ready to sing the praises of the coaching candidate you have a chubby for.  You'll be aight.

Well, if that's the case, then you are limiting your search to offensive coaches...specifically (or preferably) former QB's.  Kafka would fit that description but I'm not sure they would hire him over Duce.  That said, this team has done nothing over the past 2 weeks that I would have predicted....so who knows.

Lol nobody wants to coach here and be dictated to

He got exposed.  Sounds like he connected well with the players, except Wentz, but his offensive schemes are easy to defend, he became progressively worse as a play caller, perhaps the worst half time adjustments coach in the league, piss poor situational play calling, and insisted on keeping guys like JP, Alshon, Gerry, starting ahead of players that were not only better by the eye test, but were empirically better players.  I want that kind of coach dictated to or fired.  We got both, it seems.  Brilliant.

They will hire McDaniels. It will probably be announced by Tuesday. You don't spend an entire day and night with a candidate you don't have serious interest in hiring.

Bill's coaching tree hasn't done well at all in the NFL. Of course he will hire him.

No way those 2 would work together.

That is something to think about

This is really cool. Despite their "media rivalry" these two future Hall of Famers seem to have quite a bit of respect for each other...

NO sold its soul for a SuperBowl and doesn’t even make it to the NFC championship game.

I can't imagine a worse hiring than McDaniels with Gase at OC and Patricia at DC

Ha yeah let’s basically be the Texans and just bring in ex Pats coaches. Works real well.

One guy who I feel would work real well with Wentz and honestly think should be receiving some consideration...

Jason Garrett

None of the candidates really excite me, including Daboll. He was OC for three other NFL teams and you didn’t hear much. Bills did good this year, but how much is Allen being talented vs Daboll being good?

Belichick is considered the greatest coach ever but look what happens when you take away his HOF QB.

Talent is more important than coaching. Not saying coaching isn’t important.

Believe me, I'm the last person who wants Patricia as DC.  But someone suggested that if they hire McDaniels then Patricia would be DC.  With Slay here, that ain't happening.

I don’t think daboll is the greatest thing since slice bread. Last year and the year before was not great for him. But i give him a ton of credit for getting Allen’s accuracy to improve. In college and coming out of Wyoming the biggest knock on Allen was his accuracy. He completed 56% of his passes in his two years as a starter. His rookie year he was at 52.8% jumped to 58.8% to now 69.2%. Thats a staggering jump from Allen. So that’s good coaching and Allen being coachablw and wanting to improve.

There's so much wrong in this post that I don't have the time nor the energy to start a debate over it.

That said, the NFL is a performance based league.  Doug Pederson will likely get an opportunity to "redeem" himself at some point in the future and when he likely does, you can come back and review your post for what it is - nothing more than an il-informed hit piece. .

Many of the same things that you are saying here about Pederson were said about Andy Reid during his last few years here and after he left.  He's gone on to make the playoffs 7 out of 8 years since his departure, including 3 AFC Championship games and a Super Bowl title.

If Pederson does half of what Reid has accomplished, after he leaves here, that would be more than enough to prove his naysayers wrong, imo.

I'm down, but I want Mike Zimmer too (so maybe 2022 plan).

Yea, but how much is Daboll vs Ken Dorsey vs Allen just himself who worked with a Jordan Palmer to improve himself this offseason? That’s the thing that’s hard to figure out. Based on his track record it feels like he was in the right place at the right time. On the same hand picking a HC seems to be a harder hit rate than picking a franchise QB so who the hell knows.

How much of it was diggs, Beasley and brown being a good WR corps? Having good competent WRs helps. It’s not a coincidence the last 4 teams have Hill (top 5 this year), Adams (top 5), diggs (top 5 this year) and Evans, godwin and AB. Besides the obvious they all have great QB play as well.

the reason why if I was daboll i would strike when the irons hot. If the bills next year aren’t as prolific on offense and Allen has a regression then it creates the well maybe it was lightning in a bottle cause 2020 wouldn’t match any of the other seasons. Doubt it happens but if it does that will be used against him way more than this search. Right now cause buffalo’s offense most of the year was great (2nd in scoring and 2nd in yards) he’s a hot name.
