I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Yeah sorry, not sorry. You'd have to do more to convince me the Eagles haven't been bad at drafting wr's, when this is the list we have drafted Since the last decent WR we took (Self Tacklin Maclin), Aggy and Cooper are not ringing endorsements of your great WR draft prowess, and yes Reagor still could develop, but we need to face facts. We suck at drafting WR.  You would think with all those picks, you would have hit on at least one? Even a blind squirrel will find a nut once and a while.

Riley Cooper

McNutt

JMatt

Josh Huff

Agholor

Mack Hollins (AKA Matt Collins)

Shelton Gibson

Jjaw

Reagor

Hightower

Watkins

Let alone just plain bad drafting of picks Like Jones, Hurts, Pumphrey.

Explain the low performer?  Because he was given 2 seasons over 10 years ago and then fired?  I remember when coaches were given at least 3 years.  Blame Denver for hiring him so young.  Yeah that franchise has made a ton of wise decisions recently.

Or how about the low character?  Because he backed out of the Indy job?  Like Belicheck did decades ago with NYJ?  Or how Saban bailed on Miami so soon?  Who gives a F?!  You're hiring a Head Football Coach....not a Principal at a Catholic School.

Yeah not seeing where the doom and gloom is coming from with JMD. If it is him I'm open to giving him a shot. Hopefully he learned from his time in Denver.

Don't forget Clayton Thorson. QB factory for life.

While not black, Saleh is Lebanese. Not your typical white bread HC.

Pretty high in the Ooof meter. Even their WR FA and trade acquisitions have been horrible (Djax, Tate, Wallace, Goodwin, etc.)

I wonder how much further down Howrie excavates our rock bottom hole and dumpsters of trash they drop onto our landfill fire today.

I posted this earlier but does Robert Saleh's hiring not count as a minority or is it just black coaches they want?   Guess what NFL and those complaining, maybe they just don't have what it takes?  Bieniemy has some serious character flaws from the past and it's safe to question how involved AR is in that offense or the fact that he has the best QB, top 3 TE, top 3 WR and so on.  Duce has honesetly proven nothing besides the fact that players will "run through walls for him".

Celebrate the fact that DeMeco Ryans just got promoted to DC (well on his way to HC...it doesn't happen over night).

Praise the fact that Jarod Mayo, a linebackers coach, is getting HC considerations and well on his way to HC as well.

Stop focusing on what isn't and instead what is in the works.  There are a lot of former players getting into coaching and will work their way up the ladder.

I guess opportunities are that limited for Josh, since he pulled what he did with Indy.  Also looks like Belicheat is sticking around for a bit.  Makes sense, as now he has to deal with a somewhat (more) tarnished legacy, i.e. "it was all brady, he couldn't win without him etc."  So maybe Belicheat coaches for a while longer, and no path exists for Josh.

No in-demand candidate will choose the Eagles, as currently constituted and with current leadership in place, unless they are significantly overpaid.  This is why you won't get guys like Daboll or any of the current "names" interested.  They can get much better jobs.  This is a mess in every sense, and is set up for failure.

I think the Eagles would be very lucky if McDaniels is up for the challenge.  He has some experience, has had some success, and seems to have some elements of the skill set required of successful head coaches.  I've long seen him as a guy that has a decent chance of success in his next job.

Maybe if they can hire Josh, he can earn the owners trust and force some changes that are needed for the franchise to move forward.  I'm sure the owner will be cautious, as he was snake bit from fully believing and empowering the visored idiot, but until he trusts someone else that actually has a clue, he will keep spinning his wheels and going nowhere.

I wonder how different the Eagles would have been if McDaniels hadn’t backed out of the colts job. Now he may be our HC.

Because he was with the mean and naughty New England Patriots....

Whoee coordinators have such an impressive track records outside NE...

On one hand, I get why Bieniemy is upset and coordinators in his position have gotten HC jobs.

On the other, I wouldn't hire him for this job. Not only does he have an ambiguous role, but he had character concerns years ago (not a major disqualifier on its own, but a factor). And, of course, I'm done with the Reid tree.

But again, he absolutely deserves a shot...just not here.

This post is from Bienemy's agency.  I think as long as white supremacy is an issue in this country then so will the question of racism against people of color.  Maybe if people weren't marching in Washington DC wearing Camp Auschwitz t-shirts people would feel like we could be putting this in the rear view mirror.  I think Bienemy has ethical flaws but so did Urban Meyer.  I mean Meyer resigned from OSU after acknowledging he had engaged in a cover up of domestic abuse allegations against his coaching staff.  Bienemy has more of a proven track record in the NFL. I am not sure why he would not be more highly considered.

Right now I would prefer Todd Bowles or Duce of Josh McDaniel.

I mean McDaniel drafted Tebow in the first round when any person with a working set of eyes could see he had no chance of being an NFL starting QB.

Not sure why that person says the NFL should be ashamed.  It's not their decision who the teams hire.  It's the owners decision.  NFL cant control what the owners decide for their teams.

Would I like to see more minority coaches get opportunities?  Yes of course.  Bieniemy I can understand the frustration.  Bowles, I dont.  He's been a HC before and doesnt seem all that inspiring.  Maybe Bieniemy is the choice for Houston.

yup, but we all hate him because he's from New England

Again.  Another lazy narrative.  Look at the franchises that hired those guys and see how many coaching changes they have made in the last 20 years.  You hire the right guy and don't shy away from him because of others failures.  Maybe we should shy away from young hot coaches too....because there has been a ton of examples of failures with them as well.

I don't think it's a lazy narrative.  There's a history of NE assistants coming in and acting in a dictatorial manner that clashes with players and other coaches.  The most recent example is in Detroit with Patricia.  They also just haven't had success.  It's not just him look at Bill O'Brien in Texas or McDaniels last stay in Denver.  It's just not a good record.

The exceptions are likely Brian Flores and Joe Judge but it's not like they are doing great.

Not sure about that but I would definitely take Bienemy over McD.

So 2 success and 3 fails   Vrabel while didn’t coach probably should at least count as a half right?
