Cool, looking forward to hearing about how Burnett and Ostman are tearing it up during TC and deserve to make the roster.

Butler, have to keep our fade man. And especially need to keep Holyfield, he's waaaaay to valuable for this team.

The only guy that moves the needle at all for me is Hester.

Rudy Ford is an UFA this year.  I wonder if Countess might battle for a ST position.  Depends on Howie hating on getting the S I desire.  Mills is a UFA too.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

They can't trade them.  Who in their right mind who take either one of them in exchange for anything?    The restructures is EXACTLY what I feared and why I 100% wanted to see Howie booted out.  He's taking money from 2022 to pay for the mess he created in 2021.  It was predictable and its the WORST thing he could do.  The only exception is if he's getting these guys to take LESS money to go away.  I don't see that happening though... no way.

It's going to take two years to clear out the contracts, and 2022 will have a higher cap.

If they're serious about rebuilding, they don't want to be signing FAs the next two years, rather, load up on cheap labor, see who's part of the new core, then made a couple strategic signings for the 2023 season when they've cleaned up the cap and are ready to make a run.

I'd be so interested to see what we do at the LB position if we hired Ryan's for DC.

Also wonder which system he would run.  He played in both.  Not sure what he coached in his coaching career.

would only hope whoever we bring in that he values the LB position just a little

Hopefully it would be different from Schwartz

Religious aww shucks gun lover in Philly.   I guarantee it explains some of the hate.  It can’t be just about one bad season.  No way.  It’s not rational.

Wrong again Washer.

It's 1 awful season, 1 mediocre season before that, and 1 mediocre season before that.  Constantly getting worse while being paid like a "franchise QB".

It's the lack of leadership in the locker room.  It's constantly making braindead plays to take sacks instead of throwing the ball away, including in critical moments.

It's constantly playing reckless and exposing himself to big hits, and the resulting major injuries where he leaves the team in a tough spot.

It's the anti-clutch play and choking in the big moments.

It's the awful throwing mechanics which result in piss poor accuracy, which he refuses to fix.

It's vetoing bringing back a coach who actually helped fix these throwing issues because said coach was too hard on him and hurt his little diva feelings.

And last but not least, it's the constant denial of all these issues, whitewashing, and gaslighting by his deluded Washers and Carstans that none of this is his fault, and everything that goes wrong is the fault of anyone and everyone else.

It's getting so damn old, but thank god its almost over.

Carstan is a good one, I’ll give you that

Perhaps.  But more likely it explains some of the man love for this dude.  He's just a good 'ol country boy like us!!!

If Rudy Ford had picked up that fumble and ran, there would be a lot of complaining in here today

So strange to me. I don’t care about guns, religion, hunting or anything else he does really. It’s his business, makes him happy and is legal. You gotta be really messed up in your own life to care about your teams QBs hobbies. But here we are, surrounded by nut jobs

It's just more excuse making by Washers.

Washer Logic - "These evil critics can't be so down on our beloved boy!  There's no way its about his play on the field because that's been amazing and spectacular!  He's a great franchise player!"

Totally off topic...

But is there any techy people in here that specifically are good with Gmail?

7 for 20 for 72 yards and 1 INT isn't good?

that failed TD pass that couldn't travel 22 yards?

Isn't he already under a 3 or 4 year contract as a draft pick?

That failed TD pass was pretty ugly. Looked like a knuckle ball or nasty sinker...

Yes, I've pointed that out... but if they push as much dead weight onto the 2021 cap rather than push it off, they can get it done more like in 1.5 years.... but Howie is the cap genius that put us in this great spot.   Thanks Howie!

T.Y. McGil signed back

We desperately need a playmaker back there.  Someone like Andre Cisco or Jevon Holland.  You can't really stop offenses anymore, so the defense should focus on takeaways.

Would love to get one of those guys w/our 2nd rounder.

I like the Sterns kid from Texas.

I’ve never hated a current player on the Eagles as much some hate Wentz.  I hated T.O. after the fact.  I didn’t like some players as a player.  But hate them?

Maybe Micheal Bennett, but while he was a player here I cheered him and welcomed him.

I hated Vick. But I owned up and admitted it was for personal reasons. I foster neglected and abused dogs. Not everyone agreed and that was ok.

In terms of credibility as a player and human, Ryans would be an interesting hire. For him, it will be about the schematic side, but the leadership he would bring...

As for the draft stuff. Kind of need to know what will happen to the roster before getting too deep into it. Devonta Smith sounds good on a superficial level, but we don't know what Howard will do to save his skin and get the rebuild on.  If they keep Desean, really no point in going too high at WR.

Those press conferences from Roseman and Pederson were proper naughty school boy ones.  Some of the media questions were good, but they left a few bits on the table.  It was dying for a contract extension question to be asked.

As for the Matt Leo signing; I can't help but wonder if he is a good mentor/buddy to Mailata.  Some football clubs over here often sign 2 players from countries in South America, etc. One is the good player, the other is less so, but is a good egg and there to help with living far away from home.

If Salas gets hired, can't see why Demeco wouldn't just take the d-coordinator job in San Fran. Way better situation for him plus familiarity. Too bad for us

There were a lot of people that were turned off by Vick.  I always found it somewhat hypocrtical. I am not defending Vick but I think people lacked perspective on Vick's upbringing and likely relationship with dogs.  They view the idea of dogs with a moral absolutism that just isn't present in some parts of the US.  I mean many of these same people eat meat without a second thought as to the moral relativity of eating meat.  I mean eating a steak carries a life sentence in some parts of India.  Eating dogs is legal in most asian countries and I think Switzerland.  I mean there is an inherent cruelty to starving animals but cruelty to an animal is relative to culture.  Vick was raised in a culture where the cruel treatment of dogs was accepted.

My dad was raised on a ranch in the Great Depression.  The view he was raised on was animals serve a purpose.  Dogs and cats weren’t pets, they were workers.  The dog herded the cattle especially the milk cows.  Shep was fed table scraps.  Cats too, if much of anything. They were kept hungry because they were barn cats and that inspired them to do their job, which was kill and eat rodents, especially flickertails.  Both were encouraged to eat the occasional wayward rabbit too.  The dog and the cats never went inside the house.  My dad would laugh at our reactions to that and say neither would the horses. My uncle had the place when I was a kid and my cousins say that approach with the dog and cats was pretty much true when they were growing up.

Dunno. But we would finally have a coach that cares about LB.

Howie calls the shots.  They will hire a DC that shapes to Howie's values not the other way around.  Howie doesn't value LBs. So I don't expect a philosophy change.

Meh, I mean, he got tackled by Boston Scott.

They didn't compete well enough for 60 minutes over the course of a 16 game season as they only ended up with 6 wins.

Giants Coach having a hissy fit because we didn't help his TEN LOSS team get in the playoffs lol.

Why was Gerry playing for so long. Don’t know if Singleton would be starting on a decent defense but he was worlds better than Gerry

Peters should have never been playing. Mailata should have been given the chance after Dillard was injured

JJAW and Alshon... not much to say lol
