Would rather have McDaniels than Duce or Bowles. Bienemy can stay away, too. No more coaching from the Andy tree for now.

God we've become desperate

F you Howie!

Hopefully Howie gets fired after this season

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I'm open to the idea of McDaniels if Meyo joins him.

If it's Patricia? Fire me into the sun.

I'm with you there. I want nothing to do with Patricia. He runs Bills defense in NE, not his own. Hopefully he brings Mayo in as DC.

No.  I am referring to Champ Bailey saying that he needed to earn respect.  That just sounds like a D thing to say.  My last job in PA, my boss was 30!  30 years old and I was 44.  I would never say something that arrogant.  And listen....I am pretty arrogant.

Good for you dude. I'm with you on that. I'm 31 and have had tons of older people not want to listen to me at my job. I didn't come in like an ahole though. I related to people and really tried to get to know the team before I made decisions. You lead by example, ya know. Sometimes that doesn't work though. A football locker room is way different than project management. I'm just spitballin.

I bet you didn't show up like ahole. lol. You seem level headed.

That is where I am at.  I would rather roll the dice on Brady seems either we arent interested in Daboll or he isn't interested in us that leaves?????   Throw a dart at the rest.  If it isn't Brady or Riley then McDaniels might be the best of the crap that is left

I agree, but I don't see Riley or Brady coming here.

Dude you keep making those faces, but you don't reply to my question.  Is that why you really don't like him?  Because he "screwed over the Eagles"??  I replied to you.  Nothing else to say?  Seriously, do you think Reich would still be here and all the issues that have caused this team to plummet would have not happened?  You can click on all the silly faces you want.  It doesn't change the fact that, that is a goofy reason not to like a guy.  You're serious?

Im just wondering, I see you keep asking all these people why they dont like Josh. Maybe it was mentioned before and  I missed it, What are your reasons you do like him as your top choice?

So a Head Coach has to earn peoples respect?  Man, pretty sure that's not how life works.  Glad I don't act that way with my job.  I would be fired on the spot.

That's because most TATERS are more interested in big names and splash moves rather than the right moves. Look no further than everyone clamoring for Brian Daboll who has done NOTHING to suggest he is any more likely to be a successful head coach in the NFL than any of the other names.

Watch Buffalo and you can see a well coached offense that plays to strength of its players.  You know NE had  top 5 offenses without McDaniels.  They didn't have a great offense with Cam Newton this past season.  They were near the bottom of the League which is worse than Newton performed the last time he was full-time starter.  It's also not like NE has had success drafting receivers on the offensive side of the ball.  If anything, they have been worse than the Eagles.

I live in Maine and hear a ton Patriots stuff. I haven't heard anything about Brady and McDaniels having issues. Brady had issues with Belichick and O'Brien.

I’d check Twitter. It was a story earlier this offseason. Mcdaniels and Brady refuted it  but meyers then said he stuck by the story and had more sources saying it was true

Wow, you are awesome at life and totally humble. Maybe you should apply for an NFL head coaching position since you are so amazing at everything.

I'll start again.

I have never said he was my top choice.  I am just poking holes in his detractors.  I have said, since last night, he is one of the best candidates out there and I stand by that.  I like Riley, I like Brady, I like Bienemy.  People can find something wrong with each of those guys.  They are all risks and "rolls of a dice".  But I would be willing to place my bet on the guy who has been learning at the feet the last decade of the best HC in NFL history around the best QB in NFL history on one of the best franchises in NFL history.  Hate NE all you want, call them cheaters, etc....That's something that no other candidate can say.  I know, other coaches from NE has failed.  But all candidates have flaws....We aren't looking for a OC or someone to fix Carson for the next 5 years.  We are looking for a program builder, someone who will create a long history here.  I like a guy who's been around just that over a hometown favorite (Duce) or the other guys.  I would be happy with any of the guys I have listed.  Brady and Riley being bigger gambles.

I don't come here because I think everyone should agree with me.  I appreciate you pointing out how wrong I am.

The Seahawks are taking to Doug to be their OC? LOL

1 minute ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

Has there been any progress on that.  Honestly, that makes a ton of sense.  He's from Washington.  Carroll is old.  He might be able to be the OC there for a few years and then get a shot at HC there once Carroll retires and Carroll can teach him how to strut.

They want to run the ball more though.

I wonder if the team leaked their interest in Mike Kafka to prime us diehards for Josh McDaniels. Because I tell ya, compared to Mike Kafka, McDaniels is a slam dunk.

I don't think anyone leaked it. It was just the obvious Andy Reid connection + they liked him as OC last year so all the beat writers just ran with it.

Is this like a "Deshaun Watson is impossible to sack" type comment?  Cause I never know, now.

No it's an actual comment. Pete Carroll said they need to run the ball more in 2021 after they finished the season with a 57.8/42.2% pass/run ratio.

After what he did to the colts he can still get a HC job.

Trash.

I would rather have Dougie back.

Amazing cause first 8 games they attempted on average 40 pass attempts. Last 8 games an average of at 33.5 attempts (one game they had close to 50 cause they got down by double digits midway through the third). They went more run and their offense suffered but since they controlled the clock more it helped their defense

Horrible

'Reports'(no source- the lifeblood of sportstalk) are that Lincoln Riley is content to stay at OU. I'm not saying he's coming to Philly. Only that, if he was pondering coming here, that leaving the impression he was 'content at OU' would be precisely the vibe he would put out until he actually made the decision and announced it himself. I think it's early to dismiss Riley from the pool of possibilities, at least until he comes out and announces it himself.

Jeffrey's whiz kids are usually pretty time efficient at making decisions as they realize opportunities can close as fast as they open. The delay reminds me of when Chip Kelly was hired. At the point of that hire, he was utterly dismissed from being a possibility as well.

People down on McDaniels who do you want?

Riley - Staying in college

Daboll - Staying in Buffalo

Brady - ??  He is the only one left that I wanted

After that who do you want? Everyone else including Brady has massive question marks.

Just a mess
