My dad was raised on a ranch in the Great Depression.  The view he was raised on was animals serve a purpose.  Dogs and cats weren’t pets, they were workers.  The dog herded the cattle especially the milk cows.  Shep was fed table scraps.  Cats too, if much of anything. They were kept hungry because they were barn cats and that inspired them to do their job, which was kill and eat rodents, especially flickertails.  Both were encouraged to eat the occasional wayward rabbit too.  The dog and the cats never went inside the house.  My dad would laugh at our reactions to that and say neither would the horses. My uncle had the place when I was a kid and my cousins say that approach with the dog and cats was pretty much true when they were growing up.

Please don’t take offense to this because none is intended ... but what a terrible time for dogs. Those f’ers back then didn’t know what they were missing.

My dog is my best friend and I like him better than most peo .... ALL people.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

At least if a dog doesn't like you you'll know it

Wah.

I saw no player out there quit except maybe Ertz on a block or two.   So how exactly did the Eagles not compete for 60 minutes.  Jerk would have probably kicked the field goal on fourth down due to his lack of balls.

Ummmm, I've never seen any fan say anything bad about Kelce. He's a fan favorite

Again you guys are the real fans. But I have. I’ve seen talk of him not being a huge loss/replaceable in the draft, not powerful enough at the point of attack, etc

Just listened to an interview with Bill Polian on NFL Radio about the Eagles game last night and Joe Judge’s statement.

He said the league’s position hasn’t changed for the past 30 years — if you’re in a position where your seeding is set, you have no obligation to go out and help another team.  You play the game in the best interest of your own team.  He also pointed out that EVERY NFL team made the same sacrifices that Joe Judge is spouting righteous about.

He didn’t forget to make the point that the Giants had a lot of opportunities throughout the season not to finish with 10 losses

A tie would have been as bad as Washington winning for the Giants.  Going for the touchdown could be defined as 'going for the win'... and I'll add... that 4th down call works with a better pass from Hurts.

I'll remind folks, Hurts was 7 for 20... not exactly setting the world on fire when he was pulled... right after that terrible pass.

I like Bill Polian even more.

Joe Judge is a loser. His team won 6 games and needed help from a division opponent who had nothing to play for last night. If his take away from the Giants season and them not making the playoffs is about the Eagles and what they did or didn't know then his focus is on all of the wrong things.,

Good for Bill Polian.  Shame more morons don't get it.  The only people Doug needs to answer to for that game are in his locker room.

Hey Joe, maybe your team ought to look in the mirror.  I know you weren’t a party but last year we had a DE suffer a serious injury playing on a play that had no meaning because the giants took time outs to get a few more snaps to review their players.  The giants were homeward bound and the Eagles were playoff bound.  Last night was payback for Deshean Hall.

Worst passing efficiency in the NFL.

Have a ton of respect for Polian

Someone in the blog said Chase Claypool wouldn’t catch 3 more TDs all season after he scored 3 against the Eagles. He was right he scored 5 more to end up with 9.

He scored 4 against us. 3 receiving 1 rushing. The last one he somehow eluded the airtight defense of Nate Gerry to finish off the game.

Claypool, Shenault, Aiyuk, Mims, Higgins... All much better than Reagor. It's sickening

No offense taken. My dad didn’t get electricity until after the REA and the bathroom was an outhouse. Life was tough for the people as well.  Shep was a member of the family.  My dad would chuckle and say he and the cats had more room in the barn with the milk cows and horses than he and his three brothers had in their room in the house.

7 for 20 and 5 for 12 in the last game might have cinched it.  with 2 INTs.

I'm still dying on the Reagor hill.

I disagree with this.  I think Hightower is best suited for the slot.  Speed to use in YAC.  Watkins seems like a Z to me.  Reagor is either a Z or an X.  Ward is a #4.   JJAW is an Hback.  Fulgham at X and some slot.  The strength of this draft, BTW, is slot WR. There are some decent fast day three X candidates.

I think watkins and reagor have both shown more yac ability than hightower who whenever he's been thrown s screen or a pass where he has chance for yac he immediately pulls an isaac bruce to avoid contact. He is a contact averse person where as watkins 2nd catch he took 30 yards to the house on a simple screen

Hightower reminds me a  lot of Pinkston as a rookie who just looked scared if contact. His second year he adjusted a bit and though still a string bean would still play through contact.

Hightower played scared this year, the few times he did catch the ball he looked like a scared deer in the headlights after the catch.

Even if he comes back next year not as scared of contact I still think his best fit is at Z as a field stretcher occupy the safety much like Pinkstons role was

You can’t play defense with one CB and McLeod, like Brooks is on his second injury. I did not say kick OL down the road.  But there are players there. Same with WR.  Both were invested in this year.  This coming draft, DB investment is a must.

Too bad the safety class stinks

To be fair not one of those receivers had Carson or hurts throwing behind 13 o line combinations with doug and 27 offensive coaches calling plays with howie deciding which one of them play..
