I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Had my my interview with the Eagles today. It didn’t go well. They didn’t like my  suggestion that I replace Howie.

@Iggles_Phan has that sewed up.

WFT has been drafting better than the Eagles, for sure.  They’ve built the foundation of a solid defense; what they decide to do at QB will be very important

If Deshaun Watson ends up there somehow, I’ll be more pissed at that than anything the Eagles have done this season.

Mike Zordich CB coach wasn't retained at Michigan. He is a great coach but average recruiter so he was replaced.

Hoping he is looked at as a position coach whenever we hire someone.

If he thinks Cal McNair has been dishonest with him, it will be the height of absurdity if he ends up playing for Daniel Snyder

At least he had river boat gambler there. Snyder still a weasel. Probably howie’s next place of employment.

Now that Dabool is out, same with Arthur Smith, I'm all in on Josh McDaniels.

He learned his lesson on being a D-bag in Denver. He's a smart, innovative head coach and he's made a lot of dumpster fires look good. .

Plus he's probably bringing Jared Mayo as the D-cord.

As far as the OC, I wouldnt be surprised if he looks at Gase(which im surprisingly ok with as a 2nd man hand OC) or my favorite Shane Waldon who's worked under Belichek, McDaniels and MCvay.

He might want to consider Duce at OC, which would humanize him and help to connect him to the players and insides of the franchise, city, and fans a bit.

Mayo makes sense at DC.  I don’t know much about him directly, but he’s getting attention now and would be a logical steal for Mcdaniels to take with him.  I think he should be a player/coach and start for us too.  He’s definitely better than Gerry right now.

I agree but I think Snyder would find a way to screw it up.

I really liked Coleman as a prospect, but he just wasn't a serious enough person to believe in

I respect it from the standpoint he’s focused at the job at hand and his players in buffalo. On the other side it’s stupid not to just have a zoom meeting cause maybe passing up an opportunity of a lifetime

Eh, he’ll get opportunities. I personally think interviews shouldn’t be allowed to take place until after the Super Bowl. I respect that he wants to be totally focused at the task at hand.

It’s like taking another job and putting in your two weeks. Are you totally focused on your current job the remaining two weeks? Not a chance. Even if there’s a potential big bonus involved

So what coach have we not interviewed?

In other news. I just had Burger King.

You poor poor person

Amidst the HC hoopla, I wanted to take a step back to discuss the blueprint to success.  Forget the Eagles and what we do or don't need for a second.  Blank slate.  What's your ideal roster construction when you start from scratch.

For me, it's all about 3 things.

1.  QB.  The QB needs to project as a top 3 pure passer in the NFL.  I don't care about the mobility, doing more with less, making plays, or any of that other BS.  Hyper-elite pure passer.

2.  OL.  Cumulatively, they need to be elite in pass protection.  That requires a major investment in high-end bookend OT's with perhaps unspectacular but solid 3 across the interior OL...no liabilities.

3.  Three uncoverable pass targets.  Could be 3 WRs, could be 2 WRs and a TE.  3 guys that consistently separate and are open targets for your QB.

If you get those 3 things, all the other pieces will very, very easily fall into place.  Those 3 things guarantee an elite offense.  With an offense that good, one offseason is enough time to turn a neglected, awful defense into an average one.

That would be my path and blueprint.  And the Eagles are 0-3 on those things right now.  So I don't see much point in looking to other positions in the draft.

So your saying there is a chance, lol. Maybe that is why the Eagles are taking so long and drawing it out.

Heard this yesterday. One reporter said he was not interested in the Eagles or Texans. Hours later a different reporter said Daboll would be willing to have a interview if asked and was not shying away from being a HC in 2021.

Have to love all the run arounds, lol.

I'm happy with Mcdaniels.  Just get him in, get him to start working with Howie on a wish-list.  My vote is Duce & Mayo OC/DC.

I thought he told Lurie no? So he just said wait until Bills are eliminated or win the SB? Why wasn't that initially reported then lol

Yeah, we know. Draft picks

4 of them.

This is how sad the NFL is. I bet if Eric was not a minority he would not have been allowed to interview. This league and country is so sad and corrupt

Tuesday, the Houston Texans interviewed Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, with the NFL making an exception to allow him to interview for the position even as his current employer prepares for the AFC Championship Game.
