I'm happy with Mcdaniels.  Just get him in, get him to start working with Howie on a wish-list.  My vote is Duce & Mayo OC/DC.

McDaniels just seems like such an unlikable guy. I feel like the media will pounce on him way worse than even Chip. He reminds me of Lane Kiffin. Just so much country club type arrogance not suited for a blue collar fanbase.

Either way I really don’t care. I’m expecting a crap storm no matter what. Hiring him would make it all the more entertaining.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Philly just wants a winner.  This city wouldn't care if it was a vegan guy with a French accent and bow tie who read poetry on the sidelines so long as they are winning games.  The only line between being admirably eccentric and unlikeable is success.

This is how sad the NFL is. I bet if Eric was not a minority he would not have been allowed to interview. This league and country is so sad and corrupt

Tuesday, the Houston Texans interviewed Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, with the NFL making an exception to allow him to interview for the position even as his current employer prepares for the AFC Championship Game.

This is not what happened.

I'm not sure why it's corrupt.  I mean you act as if there wasn't a problem with racism and white supremacy in this country.  In the larger scheme of things, the NFL should be given credit for encouraging opportunities. It's not anything other than opportunity and frankly doesn't impair anyone else's chance at the job.

Article didn't mention anything about an exception

My picks were Daboll and Bieniemy anyway 🤷‍♂️

So its not corrupt to allow one candidate to interview when no one else can because of his race? There is usually a word for that, just cant place what it is.

Lets be honest, this all came because of the heat they took the last few days.

Just now, RLC said:

It was discussed yesterday. NFL teams have the ability to say yes/no. So KC approved the interview, not the NFL.

It's also for virtual interviews which is actually a good idea by the NFL IMO

That’s the thing... I can’t see him winning. So the dislike for him will be amplified. Doug at least had that man’s man relatability.

Of course if he wins, no one will care.

Anybody could have, its not just Bieniemy. Eagles interview Bowles who is still in the playoffs. Daboll could have if he wanted to.

I think you need to look up the definition of corrupt.  I think the word you're looking for is opportunity.

Yeah - I thought it just had to be with the consent of the HC and owner.  I think this was maybe to work around that aspect of the rule.

So your saying there is a chance, lol. Maybe that is why the Eagles are taking so long and drawing it out.

Heard this yesterday. One reporter said he was not interested in the Eagles or Texans. Hours later a different reporter said Daboll would be willing to have a interview if asked and was not shying away from being a HC in 2021.

Have to love all the run arounds, lol.

Albert breer was the one who said he was willing too if they called

Eh, he’ll get opportunities. I personally think interviews shouldn’t be allowed to take place until after the Super Bowl. I respect that he wants to be totally focused at the task at hand.

It’s like taking another job and putting in your two weeks. Are you totally focused on your current job the remaining two weeks? Not a chance. Even if there’s a potential big bonus involved

I tend to agree with Your premise not having them take place until after the super bowl. They’ll never do it

Are you freaking kidding right now? Philly loves to hate people. A guy like you just described better not lose 1 game

I dunno, EVERYONE hates McDaniels...let's get this attitude back.

Yup.

Howie Roseman was the GM of the only SB team in franchise history and some people honestly don't think he's a "football guy"

I could very much get on board with this.

I would be happy with Sirianni.

I kinda like the sound of this guy.

I haven't decided who my favorite HC candidate is - I keep changing my mind - But one thing for certain - I don't want to change from a 4-3 front to a 3-4. The 3-4 didn't go so well with Chip but I've never like that front. Wondering what the blog thinks???

Question is how much of the offense was he in control of? Is he just like Doug was in KC? I honestly dont know the answer or if anyone really does right now.

Philosophically I prefer a 3-4 defense because it’s more aggressive, but that’s only a generic statement.  It depends entirely on the specific DC

Philly isn't as hard as people make them out to be.  If you lose, they'll hate you harder than other cities.  You could be Doug Pederson or Adolf Hitler; it won't matter.

And if you bring home the bacon, they'll love you harder too.  Again, doesn't matter if you are Ghandi or Adolf Hitler.
