Eskin sounded more of opinion than actual reporting. That's the issue with Eskin's stuff. He kinda puts the information out there as opinion, but states it in a reporting kinda way and people take it as a report.

He didn't concretely report it's down to those two, he never said anyone's been eliminated from the search. That's just his personal feeling on it.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I can’t imagine the pain tolerance he must have gone through to make it through the season needing both knees operated on. And then go out and play the way he did.

Painkillers and the desire for that big payday on the second contract

With the franchise at an inflection point, Id be a little concerned hiring someone with a thin resume.

Of the names mentioned to this point, Id be fine with McDaniels or Duce given a good staff.

I still contend that the turnaround could be quicker than most think with the right coach.

Just passing on what the tweet from 94 wip said.

The Eagles have trouble fielding 3 competent LBers let alone 4.

Eagles should play a 11-0 defense then.  this team can only seem to identify DL, not LBs or DBs.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of this but the good thing about interviewing as many candidates as possible is you're basically getting free consulting from all the best coordinators around the league on how they would fix Wentz and the team in general. That's a lot of really good opinions to be hearing.

Either one is a failure in my book

According to Eskin it's down to Duce and McDaniels. Roseman wants McDaniels, but Lurie is leaning towards Duce.

Well ok then, I agree

Heard him on Giglio's show on the drive home from work.  He also said Duce was very prepared for his interview and that he supposedly had a potentially great staff assembled.  I wonder if Duce walked in with a big blue binder.  I hear Lurie really likes that.

Youre writing your book on day 1 of the hire or what?

This franchise needs led out of the wilderness, not a roll of the dice

Good point. But do you think one of the three is leaking about the interviews or who is higher on the list.  I don’t.  Seems a bit dishonest that they don’t say, so and so’s agent said or a person for the Eagles that participated in the interview said.

I would put money on the agents all being the primary information pieces, true or not, they get paid for getting their clients paid.

True story...

I saw those ads, and just had to have a Whopper.   So, about 2 or 3 weeks ago, I succumbed.  (Who says advertising doesn't work?)   I hadn't had a Whopper in about a decade.   I regretted that decision within the same hour.

Flame broiled tend to be less greasy that flat top grills.  They do have the best bacon of any fast food place, Sconic is a close second.  I do like a bacon cheeseburger occasionally.  Not much of a fan of fast food burgers.

Trouble with that is that they already had about 16 different coaches working with him last year, which I believe was part of the problem.  Too many voices.

Problem is that Eakins has been wrong way more than he has been right with his scoops in recent years.

I am surprised that Lurie and Howie decided to duel it out through Eskins.

I generally don't do the fast food burger thing.   Steakhouses or homemade are my preferences when I want a burger... mostly the homemade currently.   Grind my own meat, so I can safely cook it to med-rare without concern about it being contaminated.

But... I was weak... very very weak.   And then after eating it I got even weaker.  🤢

Do you have a meat grinder or do you use a food processor?  I could kick myself for not grabbing my mom’s hand crank steel meat grinder when we were dividing things up in the estate.  Sold in the estate sale.  Can’t find a decent one (all cheap Chinese trash now) and the food processor isn’t a great substitute.

Lurie has a big dilemma now. It should be his decision, not the players. But, McDaniels has a reputation for not having good people skills. So, if Lurie goes with McDaniels and the players can't stand him, it could get really ugly. But, if Lurie goes with Duce and gives the players who they want, then it rewards a team that only won 4 games.

I have my grandfather's old hand grinder, which I love, but don't use.  Its just a museum piece for me.  Full of great memories, but I just don't think it cleans as well as I'd prefer it to.

So, I use a grinder attached to my wife's stand mixer.

True but it should help to get other teams perspective on how they'd go about the situation

Curious as hell if any of them told Lurie they'd want a new GM lol

I don't think you should give someone a head coaching position as a life time achievment award.  I think the players on this team could use a little more tough love and a little less geez that OK we will get them next week.
