Can i say something? I just don’t get the enjoyment out of watching nascar. I’ve tried and i much rather watch curling or cornhole championship

As a side note I’d love to bring back American gladiators.

The two most popular spectator sports in the world are soccer and auto racing

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Someone in this organization needs to tell the players to go stand in a corner and shut up.  Maybe Mcdaniels is that guy.

They fired Doug, in part, to protect Wentz.  They won 4 games this year.  Texting the owner to campaign for a HC who was already on the staff?  You should be hopeful you have a job in 2021, not worried about backing one particular HC candidate.  These players are all overpaid, sit out weeks at a time for soft tissue injuries...I value the opinion of the biggest troll on this blog more for the next HC than I do for any player on the team.

I sincerely hope that Lurie is not dumb enough or, more importantly, soft enough to allow a talentless foundation of losers to dictate the next HC because of someone they feel comfortable with.

They fired Doug because he Fed up. People need to quit blaming Wentz

Bigger question is who’s going to be the eagles WR coach? Lucky no. 7. 7 WR coaches in 7 years.

7th one has got to be it

In my field...and I’m not nearly as old as the blog thinks I am...I’ve seen more careers go sideways than I can count because of this.

A HC who knows a key, powerful vet wanted someone else?  Hell yes he might want him off the team sooner rather than later.

I’m sure the new coach would give that key, powerful player plenty of slack to fall in line.

Unless it’s a clown like McDaniels.

I completely understand the appeal of driving fast and racing cars.  I just can’t get into watching other people do it in a circle.

I only watch soccer during World Cup. But i always think of the simpsons episode where they have the Spanish and English announcers Around the 2:20 mark

Exactly. I don’t get watching cars go in a circle for 3-4 hours. If i were actually doing it i would think it’s awesome.

Well it is a nice list of coaches for WR:

clifford Franklin

Charlie tweeder

rod Tidwell

air bud

only problem with air bud is he is also helping the sixers teach Ben Simmons to shoot.

Yup.

Just as long as they aren’t hamstringing their potential HC’s coaching staff, there’s nothing wrong with gathering as much info as possible from some of the NFL’s brightest minds.

HC Al Pacino as Tony D’Amato

DC Denzel Washington as Herman Boone

OC Billy Bob Thornton as Gary Gaines

ST/Analytics Dustin Hoffman as Raymond Babbitt

Head Coach and D Coordinater wouldn’t work together.
Ray Babbitt and Howie would quickly become best friends.

Groh was the only good WR coach.  They should have left him there instead of making him OC.

Why are players texting the owner about anything? The only people that should even have the owner's number are the Head Coach, the GM, and probably the Chief Medical Officer.

I love Duce and I have had him in my top three to become the next head coach all along. However, with the report coming out that players are texting Lurie to give him a job my stance has changed. The last thing this team needs after Doug is another players coach who is going to be friends with the players. Doug play calling was terrible this year and he seemed to be overwhelmed in general. What doesn't get talked about enough in his demise is how he didn't seem to coach the players hard enough or hold his assistants accountable. Maybe Duce could be that rare players coach who do that as well but it's a major concern. McDaniels being the **** that he is might just be exactly what that locker room needs, and certainly Wentz if he is going to be here.

Duce isn't really a players coach, actually.  The reason he gets a ton of respect is because he's a "no-nonsense" hard working guy and expects his players to do the same.

Leadership isn't the issue with the Eagles. They didn't win 4 games because they didn't play hard. They lost because bad talent, bad scheme, bad QB. We should be looking to fix those 3 in the new coach. Fresh eyes. Maybe they'll unlock something in the players here who didn't blossom under Doug with better schemes and game planning.

Duce to me is basically just a conduit to hiring the coordinators Howie and Lurie want, which is stupid.

Arena soccer is actually somewhat entertaining to watch.  It would be much better with full contact and fighting, though

Sheil is stealing my stuff again, I don't mind him stealing it as long as I get a footnote.

Hire Duce

Duce over McDaniels, all day.

Still holding out hope for Daboll.

I got a good night’s rest.

Ok, I’m ready for my interview now!

I’m just going to guess you’re in academia. A bunch of people who take themselves way too seriously... no offense intended.

Depending on the vet, he should just want to win at this point in his career.

The stage is yours, Maestro

Philly isn't as hard as people make them out to be.  If you lose, they'll hate you harder than other cities.  You could be Doug Pederson or Adolf Hitler; it won't matter.

And if you bring home the bacon, they'll love you harder too.  Again, doesn't matter if you are Ghandi or Adolf Hitler.

And if you're "Adolph Hitler" or the guy you described you better not lose 1 game. If you're a blue collar, good guy. You get a little more time. This very board is evidence of that some people hated Wentz, McNabb, Etc from day 1. I hated Chip Kelly from day 1. No, you are wrong here my friend.

We are over 500 pages of new offseason blog and there's not even a new HC named yet.
