I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Carolina has the #8 overall picks and no QB.

They could be a good fit for Watson.

Under the same structure, Pederson won a SB, has a statue in front of the stadium and will be a HC again in the 2022 hiring cycle.

The new coach may fail, but they'll have the ability to succeed if they're good.

Fair points, though I would argue that Pederson came into a team that had more difference making players at earlier stages in their careers.  A culmination of guys (especially on both lines) that were talented, good players and had been drafted under different sets of decisions makers and influencers.

The current set of decision makers has been a disaster, and the team does not and likely will not provide the next HC with anything approaching the same resources.  They will also saddle the next coach with a league worst cap position, along with a QB situation that is so bad it is like something out of a movie.

For these reasons, I don't expect success again until changes are made where they need to be made, on the personnel side of the team.  When the owner finds and empowers the right people, and changes his level of interaction to something much more appropriate, he will have put the team in position to hire the next great coach.

I’m surprised they didn’t interview Biden

If Eagles fans had it their way Duce would be head coach, Ray Didinger would be GM, and Dawkins would be president of football operations. And the Eagles would run the ball 60 times per game.

Every social media poll I’ve seen wants Duce.... even though it would essentially be telling us all that the organization is fine, even after only winning 4 games in the worst division ever, so just promoting the next guy is totally fine. Also it would essentially give even more power to Howie over the organization. If you hate Howie and want Duce, realize Howie is gonna have even more say over the coaching staff.

I love Duce, but what hiring him would suggest is annoying. I want fresh eyes on this organization and roster. It’s badly needed.

And I know the players love him, but how many of them will even be here in a year or two?

You know if McNabb was Wentz's QB coach it might help Wentz stop having the ball sail on him.

HC Al Pacino as Tony D’Amato

DC Denzel Washington as Herman Boone

OC Billy Bob Thornton as Gary Gaines

ST/Analytics Dustin Hoffman as Raymond Babbitt

That's a great staff - except Denzel Washington as Herman Boone was an offensive Coach - it was Will Patton as Bill Yoast on defense.

I wonder if Stout is a condition of hire for the next HC.

The real question is WR coach. Do we go Mark wahlberg as Vince papale or Vince papale as himself?.... or go off the board and go with air bud.

Yes.  When fans of the same team call each other names like they are two different factions of the fan base, they are trolls.  I called you names out of nothing to do with Wentz or Hurts but out of my special little snarky charm.  I don't know why it has to be one or the other with this team.  Why are there two sides in some peoples eyes?  You can be disgusted of how the team and Wentz played last year and still hope for him to return to form.  Or you can be close minded and most likely not enjoy the 2021 season because he is still on the squad.    I know there is a small sector of the fan base that hates Wentz and has hated Wentz before this season, because of non football reasons.  So no, silly little nicknames like you detailed are stupid and makes people completely ignore the point they are trying to make.  I've had that particular poster on ignore for a while because that is all he does is bash Wentz.  Regardless of the topic or the cause.  It's not about lightening up or not taking things personally.  You agree with the guy obviously.  Good.  Have you're own opinion.  But you're able to hold a conversation on numerous different topics about the team without advancing your Wentz objective.  I am tired of this city, media and fans running key players out of town.  It's played out.

I'm very very afraid. You're starting to make sense to me .... seriously though - good post.

It’s the Eagles, gotta have one offense turned defense coach

But in the championship game Boone had to take over.

I'm still holding out for smashing the gender equality glass ceiling and hiring a woman for a senior position - how about Goldie Hawn as Molly McGrath for WR coach? Or is she more of a ST Coordinator?

Since Mark Wahlberg runs like a girl let's get Papale

Our fan base is too divided. He wouldn’t want the job.

The longer this plays out, the more I wonder if Lincoln Riley is an actual possibility. If you're gonna hire McDaniels, why not now?

I’m actually still trying to deliver Lincoln Riley. I’ve tweeted him everyday about joining the Eagles.....That reminds me I’ll be back

Zero chance Doug's a head coach 2022.

There's a 95% chance Doug is a HC in 2022.

Hiring a SB winning coach is an easy sell to a fanbase. If the Eagles are bad in 2021, it becomes even easier.

I’d say the longer this goes the better chance someone they want is still playing in the playoffs.

Who knows, really.... I'm over the whole thing.  Maybe they are kicking the can until they can interview Bienemy?!  Of have they.....I really can't keep up.

I don't think it's Eric. Supposedly they could have interviewed him if they want it to and did not. I actually think it's still could be Brian from the bills. He said publicly that he will not interview until the season is over for him and his team. The Eagles could be kicking the can doing as many interviews as they can just to buy sometime instead of just sitting on their thumbs

Makes sense. There's only two teams left that need head coaches and I don't think the Texans are really going to steal any of the Eagles candidates. So they're taking their time to make sure they get the right guy who could still be in the playoffs. I don't see a rush needed

So Wentz to the Colts then?

I agree 100%.  You know what's funny, I now live in NC which is like NASCAR central.  Maybe it's because I Iive in a more diverse area than where I did in Altoona, Pa (not hard to do) but I never see anything about Nascar anywhere around here.  No one talks about it, no one wears those dumb hats....nothing.  Is Nascar dead?  Because honestly, I really don't know....or care for that matter.

The thrill of drafting drafting another car at 240 mph, the strategy on taking a curve. I enjoy both NASCAR and Grand Prix but I don’t watch a lot of it.  Can enjoy a good horse race too.  I also enjoy curling.   I like a good bowling match on occasion.  Baseball is probably my least enjoyed sport.  Well, that and the Olympics.
