Zero chance Doug's a head coach 2022.

OC... maybe. Special assistant and or consultant.. Maybe.

Numerous reports that the league didnt think highly of Doug/Doug's play callig

If Doug becomes the OC under a defensive-minded HC in 2022, I'm predicting the next 0-16 season.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I don't think I've ever watched a Seagal film.  What's the appeal with him?

Nothing now. A billion years ago he was just another action martial arts guy in a long list of action martial arts guys.

I know it is misguided but I do have some faith that Lurie picks the right guy. All the last 3 head coaches did have winning records and were not the worst hires.. It's the upcoming draft that scares me more with Howie still at the helm.

I agree that the nicknames can show your agenda before you even start talking and some of the people who use them have shown an inability to be objective. I disagree with the notion that the fanbase needs to see everything the same way. I think it would be pretty boring in here if that were the case. We’re all different ppl we all have a difference of opinion and we’ll never all be on the same page about anything in here

Foles won us our first SB and there are still people who hate the guy. Hurts went out and beat the friggn #1 Defense Saints in his first start and some were upset that it wasn’t Wentz and saying oh you can’t win with 170 yards passing, he’s not a passer. Then he goes out and passes for 330 against the cardinals and it was oh well he lost the game!   Some people are just going to not like certain players for whatever personal reason and it is what it is. Come to terms and accept that this fanbase will never agree 100% on anything. Case and point: there are still some fans who wanted to keep Roseman  if ever there was a time you would think we would come together as one....smh

It seems like you are viewing things as a false dichotomy where a preference for Wentz is love of other players.

I don't think I have ever seen Foles hate on here.  I think Foles isn't a long-term franchise QB.  I haven't met a single fan that isn't eternally grateful for his playoff run to win a SB.  He played lights out in both the Super Bowl and the NFC Championship Game.

I'm not sure that starting Hurts did anything to help the franchise.  Winning the game against the Saints was bad for the team.  Moreover, I don't think any of his games gave a fair picture of what he might be as a starter in a well coached offense.  I don't think any of the games showed that Hurts has above average accuracy or arm strength.  He made some NFL throws.  He also missed some throws.

Wentz played terribly most of the year.  If they move on from him, that's fine.  I just don't think you can move on from him based on the way Hurts performed. I also think he has the ability to play at an elite level.  He has pretty elite arm strength although I am hard pressed to think of a game this season where he showed it off.

I think you've missed the entire point. There is some excellent discussion in here, and people have their preferences between Wentz, Hurts or neither. But these trolls immediately launch into calling people Wentz Washers and whatever other dumb name they come up with, the minute anything other than full blame is placed on Wentz. It destroys all conversation, and is pure trolling. Those are the jerk offs our EIC is referring to.

How exactly was Hurts winning his first game bad for the team

If he had lost, the team would have the number 3 pick in the draft.

So which player are we going to miss out on because we are picking 6 instead of 3?

What do you guys think of Daniel Faalele?  6 foot 9 400 pound RT that played at Minnesota as a project RT in later rounds?  He's also Australian

We would have had the 3rd pick locked

Edit: already answered

Probably a better one that would have been available at 6.  Also it's not just that pick but the picks in the other rounds as well.

We'd be in play for whatever WR we wanted I think. I think we'd also be in play for Sewell if we wanted to. We could probably trade down for a kings ransom too

It's not a player I'm worried about, it's the lost capital for a trade back.

"Probably” a better one lol so you aren’t sure at all but what you all are all sure of is that he definitely hurt the team

Nah they want Nate Sudfeld

Perfect.  With them signing Suds to the highest QB contract in history we should get a good comp pick.

A lot

3rd pick gets you a QB or a LT that teams would lie cheat and steal for.

My guess, if the Eagles had #3 they could of traded it for a 6-10 pick, a 2nd this year, a 3rd  this year and a 2nd next year.

but hey, the morale boost was worth it

You guess.... exactly. That’s all it is and that’s all you have is a guess. No one knows how the draft will play out. Every mock draft ever written is always wrong. News flash: Howie can still trade back at 6! Or is that not possible now?

Another newsflash, Howie could have taken a bust at 3 the same way he could take a bust at 6. The point is we don’t know! None of us have a crystal ball. oh yeah except for those of you who know for sure hurts hurt the team by winning 1 game while the division was still in play.
