With a good team around him Hurts could win us some games when needed (as a back-up) but it was sooo stupid for him to be picked last year in the 2nd round when we had many more needs than a back-up q.b.

So I have to wonder, with the reports of Wentz's attitude and the way he carries himself around the building, did Howie draft Hurts to hopefully light a fire under Wentz? I know after 2019 everyone was worried about his durability with his style of play but I still want to know the real reason behind drafting Hurts.

I know Howie is Howie but it took something to draft a non need at 53. Damn well knowing it was going to cause drama as soon as the pick was named.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I would hope for someone better than Romeo Crennel as DC.  Go with a young, hungry coordinator like Kris Richard.  Lovie Smith or Marvin Lewis would be better in the experienced DC group

We could say Romeo Crennel lacks some qualities for our next DC.  Hunger isn't one of them.

Solak is such a dork. Sirianni could be the next Belichick for all we know, but to openly campaign for a guy everyone knows so little about in terms of being a head coach or hell, even just an offensive schemer, is trying to be first on a bandwagon for bragging rights. There's a difference between being ok with hiring the guy than being like "GET IT DONE, EAGLES!" like Kyle Shanahan just got fired and we need to land him asap.

It has everything to do with balance and movement, however, neither of which Seagal has ever been able to do. That comes from the legs. Aikido does incorporate leg strikes and the like but well into the discipline. Too dangerous in the early stages.

You should not confuse gluttony with hunger.

I'd think at LEAST 1 of the Chase, Smith, or Sewell will be gone at 6.  Most likely 2.  Unless 4 QBs are drafted before our pick.

That was if we had lost to the Saints and locked in the 3rd overall pick

As far as being fat. I took Chinese Goju for a number of years. My teacher was a 2nd degree blackbelt he was just a shade over 6 ft but weighed over 250lbs. That dude was quick as a cat.

Again not that I'm sticking up for Seagal but I have no doubt that he did Aikido and was pretty good at it.

I have a different opinion of Wentz and doubt anything that questions his attitude. That said none of us will probably ever know the reason Howie does anything

I have heard numerous times from various sources that Sumo Wrestlers are some of the best athletes in the world.

Watch nothing after Executive Decision and you will be fine. Above the Law and Out for Justice are worth a watch. He is a legit Akeido master mixing in some Kenpo strikes.

Segal is a legit fraud, he is a total phony

It's ok.  You can say Dim Sum.  We all know what it means.

Um, he literally said "don’t think it’s a home run but do think it’s better than McDaniels” so no idea what you are talking about

I wouldn't have called Jason Peters skinny.

I wonder if the Eagles will be able to sign any FA at all this year or if they legit have to sit it out due to their poor cap standing.  Are we realistically looking at trimming the fat off this roster and only adding draft picks/UDFA and potential player-for-player deals?

By Doug's reaction to the pick I am convinced he asked for Hurts. But it's not just Doug's reaction - They just gave Wentz a huge extension - and would be better served bringing in another weapon or Offensive lineman to help him - the defense could have used a 2nd round pick too. IMO this is a situation where Howie needed to tell Doug no and his inability or unwillingness to do that is among the many reasons he needs to go.

There's a great video of Bruce Lee playing ping pong with nunchucks. Very impressive, but it's fake. At first look, this video is very cool. However, some of those guys start their somersaults before they're even touched. Or they extend a wrist to be grabbed and twisted. Choreographed.

Drafted Hurts because Howie thinks he's the smartest in the room. Also because he's an idiot

I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt too but the recent stuff doesn't bode well for people wanting to be in his corner.

John D and Reich supposedly had to stay in his a** (reportedly)…players seemed to alienate him because he possibly played favorites in the locker room, which likely is true because after this report he admitted to needing to work on being a better teammate. Reports this year show Press Taylor being more of a buddy then a coach, and Wentz liking it that way.

I think Wentz needs to adjust himself and get his head out of his butt and want to play football. Why want it easy? Where's the guy from 2016 that was hungry and just wanted to win games? This new head coach needs to almost be seen by Wentz as a new start, start over and get it right again. I think Wentz has the ability, he has shown it before, but quit your complaining and wanting to be the cinderella kid and play football.
