I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

We watched 3 eps of the new season last night.  Corny and silly as usual....I fell asleep at one point.

Again we agree ... this can't be good ... I started watching because of a good Rotten Tomatoes score. But it is "Corny and Silly".

Must have not been a karate kid fan in the 80s. I’ll admit the 1st 4-5 episodes of the new season drag it does pick up In the 5th episode.
I love the show personally

Here we go with this ish.  Wentz CHOSE not to address the media s a back up QB.  And I couldn't blame him.  Let ish settle down and talk to media at a later point.  Grow up people.  JFC.

Sorry but I don't have the energy to debate any more Wentz right now. Have at er

It works in Cobra Kai. It is corny and silly at times but I think the show is well written and the characters are entertaining.

If he burned out in his fifth year as a HC, he really probably shouldn’t be a HC in the NFL.

Maybe it wasn't about the years of coaching but the dealing with Howie.   Burned out after 3 seasons removed from the Super Bowl.  Vermeil burned out after 2 years removed from the Super Bowl.

Very important question.  The answer determines if they were interested in you seriously or not.

Unless I misread it, I never saw it as Wentz choosing not to address the media as a backup, assuming the media just wanted to speak with him after the season to address the report of him wanting a trade if he was going to be asked to compete for his job back in 2021.

Someone had to leak the report from Wentz's camp. Even if it wasn't from his mouth then why not step up and claim it to be false. Then it's a done deal, it goes away like many of the other garbage reports.

I'm just saying letting stuff settle down and waiting makes you look guilty.

A couple few years ago I started watching Arrow - I have no explanation and I stopped after I think season 5 ... about season 3 my 20 something son noticed and asked if it was good. I replied yes ... if your 12. It's what we refer to as popcorn. Because of Arrow and few other shows I would never admit to watching I don't judge people for what entertains them - I liked the Karate Kid movie series but Cobra Kai is not for me.

Shame.  I would have thrown my full support behind you.   Oh well.

Understood, but Wentz refused to meet w/ reporters after the season. That sure doesn't sound like someone who needs to address the media to clear the air because that rumor is not true.....Wentz has gone about it the wrong way as well. He could easily come forward and say he is ready to be the starting QB in 2021 and he looks forward to being a teammate of Jalen Hurts, regardless whom the coach is but he hasn't.

I get that there are rumors and they are nothing more then rumors. But Wentz has made himself look guilty to this point.

Not wanting to speak with reporters didn't both me. People have been set in on their hate towards him for some strange reason. They likely would just spin it and call him some other crap

We didn't know if Lurie was going to do a full rebuild or just fire Doug or just fire Howie. He went with just firing Doug

Also I seriously doubt the new HC will want both QBs on the team and have to deal with the media constantly bringing up a QB controversy. It'd be just an unnecessary mess for a first year HC

Going in front of the Philly media is a no-win.  Wentz is playing it exactly right so far.

He needs to have discussions with Howie and Lurie, not the media scrubs.

Under the same structure, Pederson won a SB, has a statue in front of the stadium and will be a HC again in the 2022 hiring cycle.

The new coach may fail, but they'll have the ability to succeed if they're good.

Not exactly... I've pointed out multiple times, while the names may have been the same, they were not acting the same way.  Prior to 2017, they brought in aging veterans at short years and low salaries, never trading assets to acquire them.   Since 2018, they have been signing older players, at longer years and bigger dollars.

Since then they forced their HC to look like a fool by forcing him to fire his coaches a day after he kept them.   And they kicked him to the curb a week later than Black Monday, showing that they were trying to force some other things on him as well, that he wasn't on board with, or vice versa.

There's been fracture between the front office and coaching staff for a while now.   Will the new HC begin given more control over his own staff?   Or will the front office continue to squeeze the noose on the new hire, claiming its for their own good.   The complete disconnect between reality and Lurie was striking in that PC.   We have 5 future GMs around Howie.... and they have identified the right players, but just couldn't land them because they were drafted before the Eagles had a chance?   I'm sorry... I'm just not a fan of that kind of malarky being shared in public.  If he's trying to sell the fans that crap, shame on him because we aren't that stupid.  And if he really believes it, then forget this team getting things turned around, because they don't recognize their own failures over the last 3 years.  The Super Bowl was wonderful, but they are trying to live off of it too much.  They need to get to work on winning another one, not reliving the last one.  The new hire will give a greater picture into whether or not they are planning to move on, or go back.

I get that, I don't hate the kid, I think he has gone about it the wrong way but I also think he is the right QB to try and turn this team around. Any potential HC with a set of brains should be smart to want to move forward with him over Hurts. I just wish he would show that he wants to be here and wants to be the leader of this team moving forward.

I hypothesize that when Doug said promote Press Taylor to OC Jeff resisted the temptation to punch him in the face and just fired him.

I would venture to say that Jeff has never punched anyone in the face in his life.  And if he did, I would bet that Doug could beat him into a fine powder.

My money is on the ex-athlete that is considerably younger, considerably stronger and considerably longer reach.   Also a guy who has been hit once or twice in his life, over a rich kid who is much more Tom Haverford than he is Ron Swanson.

Of course I was in the 80's.  And I enjoy the nostalgia of it all.  It get's a little lost when I have to sit and watch some really terrible young actors.  It's so bad it's good.  Not like it's gripping TV.

I really don’t think it’s meant to be gripping and edge of your seat type stuff.

It’s lighthearted and fun. The acting is over the top on some of the younger cast and Ralph Macchio is lame but somehow it works. It scores highly on rotten tomatoes and has a following. Don’t get me wrong it will never be a breaking bad but it doesn’t have to be.

Enough has been said. He doesn’t need to do another thing. Clearly the FO is pushing him on the next coach and if he still not happy after the new coach is hired he can ask to be traded which I doubt he will seeing he won the power struggle.

  HE FINISHED THE SEASON AS A BACKUP!!!  HE WAS NOT OBLIGATED TO SPEAK TO THE MEDIA........AS A BACK UP!!!  HOW IS THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND?????

ISH LEAKS ALL THE TIME...HE WAS NOT OBLIGATED TO ADDRESS A RUMOR OR GIVE IT CREDENCE TO A "LEAKED" STORY.......IT'S BEST TO SETTLE THAT ISH IN HOUSE, IN DUE TIME...

THAT STORY ABOUT HIM ASKING FOR A TRADE WAS SCHEFTER SPIT-BALLING...SCHEFTER SAID IT HIMSELF.....SO NO...IT WAS NOT "LEAKED" BY WENTZ OR HIS "CAMP"

IT NEVER JUST "GOES AWAY" WITH THIS MEDIA!   THE SAME MEDIA WHO FABRICATED A SIDELINE ALTERCATION WITH PLAYERS AND DOUG.......

I am yelling because this crap has been debated time and time and time again in here.  Maybe you were at a MAGA rally...maybe you were busy doing something else.  I don't know.  But come up with original material.  It's tired and old.  Do better!

Haha okay this is a forum where debates are discussed 🤣 no need to come up out of your seat. I could also give 2 💩 on how you perceive my user as it has nothing to do with this topic.

All reasons why he would have resisted the temptation ... you did see Buddy take a swing at Kevin Gilbride right? I think it would be something like that.
