Well, yeah...30 years later he is fat at 68. True for a lot of guys.

Not sure where that info is coming from, but it's not right at all. Kicking doesn't make someone a martial artist and you obviously have no background in the arts to say someone doing Aikido is waiving their arms around. You'd probably say the same watching Ed Parker doing Kenpo.

So much going on that you don't realize. Don't take my word for it Rogan agrees.

You're generally an astute poster but you got the gist of my post completely  backwards. My point about Seagal waving his arms and guys falling over is not a shot at Aikido; it's a shot at Seagal. And Rogan said clearly in your posted video that pretty much anybody who knows how to fight would kick his a$$. That video of his demonstration is directly to my point. None of those guys is a real fighter; they're just choreographed sparring dance partners. I will acknowledge for my part that my expertise in Aikido is nonexistent. In my younger years I studied Shotokan  for a number of years with Teruyuki Okasaki in West Philly. Much more violent than Aikido.  Real fighting. Only used it once and I barely hit the guy, at which point he just decided to leave. To this day I don't know if I could have beaten him; what I do remember is how completely relaxed I was and I was thinking, "Well, now I'll find out if this works."

All I'm saying, when it comes down to it is that Steven Seagal is a fraud and a bad joke.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

This sentence made me hungry.

Somehow the Eagles managed to be the 3rd ranked special teams unit last year, per PFF

Well... if PFF put a number to it, it must be right.  Those guys are very thorough.   Clearly Greg Ward should have made the Pro Bowl for his amazing fair catching and letting the ball bounce inside the 10.

LOL wrong. Did he sell out after 92 and make a ton of horrible movies? Yes. Good actor? No. Anyone who says he is a phony as a martial artist doesn't have a clue. Will Akeido win a UFC fight? No. Still an art that is respected though.

This post is endorsed by Joe Rogan  ;) 2bd video of him saying he is legit with another guest. "This mofo has some real bleep" 1:40 🤣

Yeah you know what, Im also a great martial artist.  Of course, like Seagal, Ive never actually fought anyone, but Ill buy a fancy gi and youll have to take my word for it

Aikido is garbage anywau and so is that fat slob

I think that's true for a lot of arts though. Some guy doing a Korean art trying to kick someone above the waist could get his *** kicked. That's why the best MMA fighters have  blend of a few.

So if it isn't a shot at Aikido and Rogan said in at least three videos (there is one with Edward Norton too) that he is a legit master I guess I'm confused as to how he is a fraud? A lot of arts doing choreographed moves. Even Jiu Jitsu does to a degree. That's just how they demonstrate moves to students, learn, or show off.

Must be a slow offseason.

What do you guys think of Daniel Faalele?  6 foot 9 400 pound RT that played at Minnesota as a project RT in later rounds?  He's also Australian

He is very big.  Green and not great at pass pro.  Nope.

Sirianni will be a fun coach, and person, to root for than Josh McDaniels. Besides, with Sirianni there would be no pressure at all to win in 2021 making it easier to rebuild.

No pressure at all to win? You new to the Philly sports scene?

There's very little pressure in year 1 from fans/media that aren't idiots. Now, if you're saying that the fanbase isn't smart...

A thought that crossed my mind...

Say the Eagles drafted Phillip Rivers in 2004. He ultimately had the same exact success with Eagles that he really did with the Chargers. At what point would the fanbase/ franchise decide it was time to move on from him?

I’d bet he wouldn’t have remained in Philly for 16 seasons...

Don’t think he’ll be the guy, but definitely doing their due diligence.

Popped on WIP to listen to some coaching search talk.

"The Eagles need to call Doug back, apologize, tell him he can pick whatever staff he wants, and re-hire him."

🤦‍♂️

Don't have the brain patience for these kinda takes today, especially from radio hosts, not callers.

They probably should have done that in 2012 with Andy

I’m gonna put Sirianni into the group I’d be okay with, along with Joe Brady, McDaniels, and Daboll (if they decide to wait and secure an interview with him)

I could see Lurie agreeing to bring in whoever they want as QB coach and some other coaching staff, but suggesting they bring Duce in as OC as a promotion, and help him learn the passing game in more depth to develop his skills (and as an olive branch to part of the locker room)

Lol a lot of us freaked out when McDaniels ended up getting a very long interview

Also is there a video of someone saying his name? I'm curious if the pronunciation I have in my head is accurate or not

I may end up just calling him Siri as someone mentioned above if I screw it up lol

You just answered your question.  Ask Siri how to pronounce his name.

That didn't work

So is this some weird Jerry Jones/Mike McCarthy scenario where he slept over Jeffy's house?

The more I hear about him the more I like him. I think he's my favorite for the job out of the other guys they interviewed. He's got a lot more experience than Brady, but is still young and not old like Daboll. He also seems to be a very high energy/engaging coach so not a **** like McDaniels. He's the "just right" out of this goldilocks coaching search.

Only knock on him is he hasn't called plays. But he has done play design.

Quick question....why are teams allowed to block other teams from interviewing their coaches/coordinators?

Wouldn't it piss you off if your employer blocked your opportunity for promotion/higher pay?

They changed the rules so you can't block anymore, as long as its a promotion. If its a lateral OC to OC like move, then you can block.

But yes, I'm sure it's pissed some people off before. Someone on their pod last week was saying Lurie blocking DeFillippo from interviewing for OC pissed him off.
