Who knows, still think McDaniels is the favorite. Not sure I’d count Brady out yet. I don’t know why they’d go Sirianni over Brady if they don’t want McDaniels. Brady is young, but this is the perfect type of situation to gamble on a guy like that given that they aren’t in a win now mode. Gives him time to grow.

Agreed. Seems like if you want to an offensive-minded thinker as a head coach, Josh and Brady are the top choices, maybe with Kellen coming in third. If you want a CEO-type coach, you go with Duce.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

So what are we thinking? It’s down to McDaniels and Sirianni with Duce as our break glass in case of emergency hire?

Odds on the next Eagles Head Coach

Josh McDaniels +200
Duce Staley +300
Joe Brady +300
Jerod Mayo +400
Todd Bowles +500
Eric Bieniemy +700
Nick Sirianni +800
Brian Daboll +1200

I'm going with my fellow paisan Sirianni.

Can she call plays?

I actually disagree with this because these two are among the very best in the league and not mere holdovers. Especially Stoutland who coaches the second most important group in the entire sport.

It’s gonna get decided like this

Probably. I don’t think they are all in on Daniels as people were making it out to be a few days ago. He could still be the choice but their is clear hesitation

I think A thing that people are missing is sirianni has a extensive background in wide receiver coaching.. Apparently the colts loved the work he’s done with their WRs. And the chargers also with theirs before he left for Indy. So not only are you going to ask him to salvage Carson Wentz he’s shown he is able to develop wide receivers which is something the Eagles besides one year under Mike groh have not been able to do. And really with Mike groh they didn’t develop any wide receivers as smith and jeffery were already developed. Agholor is the closest thing to being developed.

Probably not but I suggest she could inspire just about anyone to run through walls. She is the National Youth Poet Laureate.   Her poem today was inspiring but her presentation blew me away.

Waiting until the SB to finish interviews

Fipp needs to go

Any HC candidate that wouldn't keep Stoutland is not worth hiring.

Do you have an interest in poetry?

Quick question....why are teams allowed to block other teams from interviewing their coaches/coordinators?

Wouldn't it piss you off if your employer blocked your opportunity for promotion/higher pay?

Happens all the time; it’s called a non-compete.

No.  But for her to be brought up in the blog I would assume she’s a big deal or hot or something.

She’s in CVON

soon?

I’ve never heard of a non compete restricting an employee from talking to another company.

Fair enough, the NFL is unique in their restrictions of communication.  But the post referenced blocking the opportunity, which a non-compete does.

Close, she's a poet.

The more reading I do on Nick Sirianni the more I am coming around on him. I really like what I am reading about him especially from his work as a position coach.

No it does not.  LOL.  I added to the post.   You can’t block someone from seeking other employment, again if we’re using a real world scenario.  Unless they are in a contract.  Which would have buy out clauses anyway.

Non competes come in different shapes, sizes, and conditions.

Lyrical poet in case you didn’t know it...

There no such thing as a non compete that says an employee can’t talk to another company.  I have had to sign and abide by one with my last 4 employers, in total about 15 years.  Again, a contract a NFL coach signs might have language that restricts them from talking to another team during the season playoffs what have you.  But a non compete is to keep an employee from stealing business from a previous employer, after he leaves.  Or there are types that restrict an employee from sharing information.  Like product formulation, specifications.  Etc ....That’s normally referred to as a "non disclosure” agreement.  Still kind of similar.

No, of course they can’t stop you from talking.  As I said, that’s a uniquely NFL thing.

I think that's true for a lot of arts though. Some guy doing a Korean art trying to kick someone above the waist could get his *** kicked. That's why the best MMA fighters have  blend of a few.

So if it isn't a shot at Aikido and Rogan said in at least three videos (there is one with Edward Norton too) that he is a legit master I guess I'm confused as to how he is a fraud? A lot of arts doing choreographed moves. Even Jiu Jitsu does to a degree. That's just how they demonstrate moves to students, learn, or show off.

As a tough guy he's a fraud. That ish in his movies is utter BS. Could he beat me up now as I'm in my 70s, I would hope he could. Could he beat up Mr. Okasaki at any time, ever, or more than half of the guys I worked with? No fing chance. Mr. Okasaki is well into his 80s. Seagal would have no chance even now.

Seagal is a master of nothing. Just an overpaid personal trainer. And a pervert.
