Shane Steichen would be a good choice for OC. He was the Chargers OC this year. Herbert really liked him. I'm not sure if Staley retained him officially yet.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Now give me Gannon as D-coordinator please

I want Jardo Mayo but that's unlikely to happen.

Sirianni is an unknown.  Reich vouched for him.

Maybe he’s Vince Lombardi, maybe he’s Rich Kotite.  I’ll get on board and hope for the best.  There are worse decisions they could have made.

But I swear to all that is Holy...if Spadaro puts an "ask Siri” section on the Eagles website, I’m out.

You mean this

Is he a star wars character

Will he pick qualified advisors or simply look to add visors?

That is a quality first post right there!

Coaching is important but starting to feel the media/fans overrate it a bit.

I'll laugh when Lurie says Nick was his guy the whole time

Don't know who it was but it wasn't Nick. Hope that this guy can put together a great staff and does great though. If things don't work out with Wentz then he'll be able to draft his own QB later

FYP

The thing about the hire is he's mostly an unknown, under the radar guy.  Will be exciting to see who his staff is.  I don't want to hear Lurie/Howie mention we got our guy all along.  Regarding Duce.  Sadly, it's time for him to go.  Will be interesting to see where he lands and in what kind of role.  For all the pounding the pavement he got I really don't see any other teams showing interest in him in a bigger role than RB coach.  His best bet would probably be to step down to NCAA as an OC and build up his resume.

That's good IMO. I liked when Doug was aggressive, I just hated the dumb plays he would actually call in those situations. But these playoffs have shown you gotta have an aggressive mindset in the league now, no more punting from the 50 yard line and in when you have 4th and manageable.

Well at least I don't have to look at Josh McDaniels ugly face now.

Just Sirianni's resting blazed face.

I don’t know if that was a dig at mclane or the nfl source. But either way that is a sick burn

This isn't a mask debate but more of a what are you thinking question.  Why in the world would you choose a photo of the new coach that could be any one of us.  Mask, hat pulled down.  Here's your new coach Eagles fans...any idea what he looks like so we know who we are cheering for?

Man....Sirianni was such a hot name he was only #20 on their list of interviews.  Maybe Lowie should have checked in here since he was such a known commodity.

No doubt he wasn't at the top of the list when the process began, but then again, you don't have to rush out and interview a guy that no one else is interviewing.

That said, I like him more than Lincoln Riley and Josh McDaniels, so I'm happy with that.   No guarantees, but he is 100% off the 'Reich' coaching tree.  When Reich was the OC in San Diego, this guy was the QB coach, then he brought him to Indy when he got a chance.    He might be green, but like I said with Joe Brady, if he's a bright young mind, bringing him in now when he's a year away might not be a bad thing.  Let him learn the ropes the hard way in a year that this team doesn't have a snowball's chance of being good, and take the top 5 pick for next year, while learning on the job and learning the players.

I want to see a competitive team, a competent team on the field, but expect them to lose at least 10 games next season.

I think hiring Lynn as OC would be great. Has HC experience which is a benefit.

Eff that. Lynn is not good.

Press Taylor’s new role is digging into the videos to find the best visors

Well, Andrew Brandt is someone who's opinion I listen to.  McLane, not so much... so this is hilarious.
