I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I like Mack but it's an achilles and I feel we need more of a power back to complement Sanders.

that's why they draft Najee Harris!  I kid but man I would love to see him an Eagle.  Never going to happen, I think he sneaks in to the end of round 1.

I can't go back and find your post about Caplan from earlier today but one of the first things he said on their live emergency pod was "I knew early this morning Sirianni was the guy, just couldn't report it because so many things can change until its officail" lol.

Literally he does that every freaking episode. It’s so freaking annoying. Mosher is usually good at saying like he’s been told stuff after the fact but caplan tries to always play it off like he knew prior but couldn’t say anything.

Ummm....I really hope you're wrong.  The only way Scott is here next year is if the Eagles fail to address RB in the draft and an older vet.

Yes, this is why we hired the Colts OC. *Sigh*

I think Scott is fine if you have him as your 3rd back or 4th. They definitely need a better backup to sanders. I’m guessing they’d ideally like to get someone with Hines skill set who was a good pairing to Taylor. I think Scott has some of those Hines traits but he’s not as good as Hines. I do wonder with marlon Mack coming off his injury (Achilles) if they sign him cheap as he was in indy and also use a later round pick on one

It’s tricky to say much about his work in Indy.

2018: Reich is a new offensive minded HC with a very established QB.   Sirianni isn’t going to make or break that offense.

2019: Last minute pivot to a completely inexperienced and raw running qb.

2020: Very limited to what you can do with a 50 year old qb with no arm who needs to get the ball out instantly because he’ll break into pieces if he gets hit at his age.

Thats not a criticism of Sirianni...it’s just that his offensive design has basically been dictated to him by necessity for the last 3 years.  Not much chance to leave his fingerprints on anything.

That's not a bad thing given what Wentz may need.

I'm hoping the first thing he does is identify these bottom of the barrel roster scrapers like Boston Scott and throws them out of the Novacare complex.

They weren't even in KC together. Nicks last year was 2012, Dorsey came in 2013

Scott is a decent 3rd down back.  I don't understand the hate for him.

They have been looking silly....they were late to the party and they also needed to get the hire in before the weekend, so the build up to the SB didn't steal their limelight.  If this isn't a panic hire, I don't know what is.  I hope he works out, but as of right now he's the Marcus Smith of Head Coaches....

TBH....whoever it was, it would have looked bad this late.  It just so happens to be one of the last guys they met with.

Dude, it's not like McDaniels wasn't still out there for the hiring. I just think they liked this guy better. I would not call this 1 bit of desperation.

That’s good old Sal pal for you. Doesn’t know what the F he’s talking about. I got his super bowl book as a gift. I jotted down every time i caught a factual error. I had 23 of them. I’m guessing there’s more than what i caught.

No hate.  I just think the Eagles can upgrade from him.

Sal Pal was all I had to see in that tweet to dismiss it anyways.

Maybe they didn't like JMCD for a lot of the reasons you guys pointed out.  Take the W.

Of course this was desperation.  Were they just getting around to interviewing him?  I mean after Mayo and the other dozen + names, they just got down to Nick Siri and said....ok this is the one we've been waiting on....come on!

We'll disagree on that.

I agree. After all the interviews they did, they liked this one the best. Could they be wrong? Sure, but many were unhappy when they Hired Doug, we got one SB win out of it before it fell apart.

Who knows, I'm just glad it's someone who wont try to fit a square peg into a round hole.  Lets also hope that the injury bug, leaves with Doug.

We don't know much about this guy, but I'm excited about the fact that they seem to have hired the guy that has shown he can play to the strengths of different QBs, he's good at maximizing the production of WRs, and his offenses have consistently been good to very good.  Players respect him that have played for him, but he still carries an iron fist if he needs it.

I'm not pissed about it.  I'll say that much!

If you go to a dance and ask 20 girls to dance and only end up dancing with the last girl you asked, I am sure you didn't get a smoke show.  Hell you might have gotten one with a D.
