I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

He was the last interview!!!!  The most recent!

If you go to a dance and ask 20 girls to dance and only end up dancing with the last girl you asked, I am sure you didn't get a smoke show.  Hell you might have gotten one with a D.

why does it matter who was interviewed when? I fail to see the relevance. 20 Years ago, I was the first internal interview and got the job at the interview, they still went on and interviewed everyone else, even though they told me I got the job. Had I been the last, would that have changed their minds on hiring me for that job? Doubtful.

You think because he was last, it was like an after thought? Maybe I guess?  How does that change how they feel he was the best candidate?  It's like you want to chastise them for NOT targeting a guy from the start, from before they interviewed anyone and hiring THAT guy? That would be ridiculously short sighted.

There ya go.

Uggh....never liked that.  But you go ahead...🤽‍♀️

I don't know how else it can be interpreted..

Can you agree that he wasn't originally on their radar?

Sure, but desperation makes it sound like they didn't have other options. They had others. They met the guy fell in love and that's that. (They also seem to rely on guys that worked for them previously (Reich) to endorse candidates (Reid for Pederson)

I think Lurie has averaged something like 21 days to find the next coach after a firing of the old coach, since he has been the owner.

Sorry blog i went to the interview and i thought i did well enough to be the lead candidate. Showed them the staff I put together. it looks like we are going to have to settle for the texans job and not the eagles after they hired Siri

Listen...if this is what it takes to get Howie's slimy voice out of Lurie's ear....then so be it.  I would celebrate that.

Love that movie Gooorlawnnniiii

Here's why Sirianni is the right choice.

He knows offense, coached WRs, QB and was an OC for three years.

In Indy, had to work with subpar skill talent (sound familar?) and was able to coach them up.

Eagles are on a three year rebuild where they're gonna have lots of young players, and will have to use a lot of draft picks on defense, so a HC who understands how to turn garbage into gold can rebuild an offense without having to use 3 or 4 1st rd picks. Indy used their 1st rd picks on the OL, so they prioritize it, and they're keeping Stoutland (look for an extension). So he's going to build out from a QB, scheming to get the most of his talent, and make the OL the foundation of the offense.

Key is who will be the next DC.

No no no. I specifically created this so we didn’t have to use that

Meh, you suck anyways

Literally he does that every freaking episode. It’s so freaking annoying. Mosher is usually good at saying like he’s been told stuff after the fact but caplan tries to always play it off like he knew prior but couldn’t say anything.

He set himself up for next tine too. Closed the show with "we'll talk about potential coaching staff on the next pod. I already heard some things but can't say right now." lol

Wasn't Saruman controlling the king? It's been awhile for me

agreed on all points

Now he may not work out, but I'm at least intrigued and will be interested in watching this play out.

I can see us drafting Oline in the 1st rd. It's kind of what we do, and with Brooks/ Johnson and Kelce being question marks, I could see a RT being taken.

I don't know how anyone could love or hate this hire. You have to be patient and wait see how this develops. Anyone who follows the NFL should know that more often than not ''the hot coaching names'' don't work out as often the under the radar guys. Listening to Seltzer on Go Birds you'd think he was a dumb fan who never followed the NFL in his life. To be clear I don't love the hire, I just don't think it's logical to take a strong stance on this either way.

Brooks and Johnson are only question marks regarding if they'll play because of injury. They'll be on the team definitely because of those contracts

It matters because it shows he wasn't the 1st, 2nd, 3rd.......and on and on option.  I'm surprised I even have to explain that.  But then again....maybe I shouldn't be.

Here we go with using normal job situations as it compares to an NFL franchise again.  LOL...  Yes.  Hiring an NFL head coach is exactly like a random hiring process.....As in NOT AT ALL!!!  It's not like they posted the job for a certain period of time and then started to interview candidates that applied.  It's the NFL.  They should have had a list of targets.....short list or long list....but a list.  Your job, my job, most of our jobs don't operate that way.

Whoever they hired, they were going to get chastised for it.  They fired their HC a week after he stood up at a PC with the GM.  They interviewed a ton of people.....the process dragged on and it got late.  Whoever they announced today or tomorrow would have been met with some trepidation.  Don't be so naïve.  And sensitive.  GD man, you have like 4 other teams to root for....relax.

I'm not blaming Nick Siri...I'm blaming Lowie.  They are a joke.

We know they suck man but maybe they got luckily and found the right guy.  Nothing to be upset over.  It's not like this team was setup to be any good next year so let's see how the dust settles.

Of course he did lol. I swear he tries to make it like he’s some big shot thy has all the info prior. Like i do believe he gets good info but he always says he has it but couldn’t say anything yet or at the time he couldnt

I can't Fing believe this team fired Doug Pederson. It's infuriating. He should still be here. Especially if Howie is still here. There's no way with a straight face they can think they're better off today than they were the day before they fired Doug.

Everything this organization does is ass Fing backwards with Lurie. The writing was on the wall when they fired Doug last minute and Lurie did a complete 180. And if they hired Sirianni to appease Wentz, that makes it even worse. We'll find out in time if that was the case.

Everything about their whole process is a total joke. This organization is in so much trouble it's hard to put into words. Just a bleak bleak future with little hope for the short term future.

As maddening was it was to keep Howie and scapegoat Doug for everything, I could've at least been somewhat excited about Joe Brady -  a high upside guy thought of to be super bright, but a little raw in coaching. I agree with those who said you swing for the fences for a special mind. Sirianni doesn't feel like that. Regardless, the guy is set up to fail. This roster sucks, the cap situation sucks, and apparently they'll be trying to spend another year fixing the most broken QB in the NFL.

Depressing as hell

Daboll for OC

Steichen for OC. Gannon for DC.

Kudos to whoever thought of this meme lol

Seems to be well respected with past players as well as members of his old coaching staff.
