"As a player at Colorado, Bieniemy was arrested along with a teammate following a February 1988 bar fight.[11] He pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and fighting in public, and was sentenced to community service.[11] He also received discipline from head coach Bill McCartney.[11] On July 4, 1990, Bieniemy pleaded no contest to interfering with a firefighter who had been performing his duties to extinguish a fire in Bieniemy's mother's garage.[12] Bieniemy received an eight-month suspended sentence[13] and was suspended for one game.[14] Bieniemy was instructed to do 40 hours of community service and attend an eight-hour firefighting training session.[12] An assistant city attorney said Bieniemy failed to attend the firefighting training session as stipulated in the plea agreement, but Bieniemy asserted the session was optional.[12] In 1989, Bieniemy was ticketed in Westminster for driving a defective vehicle, and in Aurora for speeding. In October 1990, Bieniemy's license was suspended for a year after another traffic violation. On March 21, 1991, Bieniemy was caught speeding and driving with suspended license on I-70 near Rifle, Colorado, going 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. On April 17, 1991, Bieniemy failed to appear in court on April 17, 1991, and a bench warrant was issued in Colorado for his arrest two days after being drafted in the 1991 NFL Draft on April 23.[12] On September 27, 1993, Bieniemy was arrested in Boulder, Colorado, for allegedly harassing a female parking attendant. According to the police report, while with his friends, Bieniemy put his hand on the attendant's neck, startling her. She told police he also made a comment about "a bunch of black males all at once being her worst nightmare,"[13] and that Bieniemy and his friends took off their pants and began urinating nearby. Bieniemy was also named in an outstanding warrant on a charge of driving with a suspended license. As a result of this incident, Bieniemy was banned from the University of Colorado Boulder campus for one year.[6][15] In April 2001, Bieniemy was arrested for driving under the influence and was docked a month's pay.[16]" Jeeper what a weirdo

January 21, 20214 yr There seems to be a general consensus of opinion on many Eagles reporters on the hire: -Made the hire with fixing Wentz in mind -Think a guy without a lot of clout will be more amenable to Lurie/Howie telling him what to do This makes the Hurts pick all the more infuriating if they're truly going all in on fixing Wentz. Nothing they do is consistent.

I know but I'm just a huge Pitts fan. That article did a good job describing him as a chess piece. In one of my previous Pitts posts I made the point that you aren't drafting a tight end with him, you're drafting a weapon. I know I'm up against it with 99% of you on here with wanting him in round 1 but he's the prospect I just love.
January 21, 20214 yr I like the hire of Sirianni; he has experience coaching both QBs and WRs, even though he hasn’t been a playcaller he has developed schemes. He’s the proper age range IMO with a long term in mind — he can relate to millennial players but still be an authority. He’s still young enough to grow and develop and ‘self-improve’ The coaching staff that gets put together will be just as important as the head coach hire. Who comes in as OC, DC, QB coach? All very important. Hopefully Stoutland is retained for the OL. I don’t think it’s impossible that Lurie asks Sirianni to retain Duce and offer him the OC position — if Duce doesn’t see it as a promotion, then Duce can pack his things. DC might be someone older with previous HC experience, in the Schwartz mold

January 21, 20214 yr I’m "fine” with the Sirianni hire. Worst thing they could have done was go with Duce. 2nd worst thing they could have done was go with a DC. Tie for the second worst thing would be to go for an older re-retread. Worst after that would be an NCAA prodigy. Sirianni is none of those things, so I’ll sit back and hope for the best. This TE reputation makes me very, very nervous, but we’ll see where he goes with it.
January 21, 20214 yr Eskin said Lurie wasn't sold on McDaniels, was leaning Duce. Howie wanted McDaniels. They regrouped and decided to interview more candidates. Sirianni blew them away. I know it's Eskin so take FWIW.

We need a pass catcher who is a weapon and if that is a historically great TE, that’s fine with me. If he’s a "typical probowl TE,” then it’s just not what we need at #6, especially with Goedert here. We have 0 good WRs and 1 with promise who disappointed as a rookie. We currently have 2 good TEs on the roster who are overused as it is.
January 21, 20214 yr I actually kind of like that Sirianni hasn't called plays before. Similar to Doug, it can be tough to get a read on a play-caller and his offense without any prior experience (think 2017). You can catch the league off guard for a bit. Of course, they will catch up.

This is a high profile, CEO-like position for a multi-billion dollar organization. Everything will be looked at, especially grabbing women by the neck and threatening them like a psychopath. No idea who that is All of those happened way too long ago. That shouldn't prevent him from getting a HC position in 2021 IMO If Bieniemy gets a HC position sometime in the future and succeeds while we fail with Nick then I may bring up how I wanted Bieniemy 🤷♂️ though I'm not going to rant about not getting Bieniemy. I'm just happy it wasn't Duce or McDaniels Don't know why he's not getting a HC position. Could be his interviews aren't doing well.

If Roseman wanted McDaniels I am guaranteeing a good part of it is because his college roommate and best friend Jedd Fisch who was pushing for his friend Josh McDaniels. Like I said last night, I was told by a friend who works in the athletic department for Arizona that if fisch didn’t take the job at Arizona he would’ve been a strong contender for that job. We should be grateful he took the job at Arizona because from what I’ve been told he is hard to deal with and he’s not that good of a coach. also he’s a coaching nomad i’m also guessing the reason why lurie wasn’t sold was because of all the other owners in the league and talking to them about what went down with the Colts and in Denver. He’s going to talk to other owners around the league and I’m betting Josh McDaniels isn’t looked at in the best of light considering his time in Denver and then 10 years later he pulled the stunt that he pulled when coaches committed to going to Indy and then backed out after the press release was made

They'll catch up after a few games, everyone has oddles of tape and kids who edit it. This is a rebuild, if he can just get our young players to play with proper fundamentals and execute a portfolio of fairly simple plays, fine, year 2 you start adding to the playbook. Walk, then run.

Kyle Pitts and one of Hakeem Butler/Tyree Jackson being the tight ends. Fast, above the rim, super athletic tight ends who make big plays, rather than the 5 yard out Ertz plays.

They did that long interview with McDaniels and it looked like he was the guy and when it didn't happen within a day and they started doing more interviews it was pretty obvious there was questions about what direction to go in. Whether it's the right or wrong hire, they should go with someone who ''blows them away'' and makes it obvious.

Now that I think about it with all the scrutiny the NFL faces because of so many domestic violence issues, I wonder if that does indeed factor into it a little bit. It’s not tough to connect those dots. You don’t know who Odubel Herrera is? 😂 Not a baseball fan I guess.

If we are going to have a viable 12 personnel in the modern nfl (as a base offense, not a nice situational package), it will require a generational pass catching TE plus two absolute burners at WR. Then it could be great. We hate drafting fast wrs. We got embarrassed into doing it last year, forced it, and very possibly drafted a dud...so good luck dipping back into that pool again.

You do know Sirianni is a big run first guy right? Dont think having all undersized TEs is the answer. Sure one or two but u need some that can run block. Dallas Goedert is not going anywhere anytime soon. If anything he could become one of th etop TEs in the league in a system like the Colts had if Nick goes that route.
