Would be interesting how they shake up the line to make it all work with Dillard, Johnson, Malilata and Driscoll at OT. Id guess Driscoll can move around. Lane if healthy of course is your RT. Dillard on the move maybe? I like him at LT but no other position. This would get very interesting if he is the pick.
January 5, 20214 yr It takes a lot of hutzpah, for Roseman to continually allude to the 2017 season. Consider what is left of the starting line up on offense:

This manufactured drama is annoying. 7 minutes ago, Green_Guinness said: Even before the game and before Hurts' poor play, I was expecting to see Sudfeld at some point during that game. Loads of us here figured Wentz would be deactivated for the game because why would the Eagles risk the chance of him getting hurt behind an OL with 3rd string OTs whether they are either going to try and trade him or keep him and hope to fix him. So that was no surprise and that left Hurts starting and Sudfeld as the backup. Again, you're playing with an OL with 2 3rd string OTs vs one of the better DLs in the NFL and again why risk Hurts possibly getting hurt if you're either going to try and trade him or keep him to compete for or be the starter next season? I figured they'd play Hurts at least a half and depending on what kind of beating he was taking that we'd see Sudfeld take over for him. What I didn't expect was that the Wanker Football Team would be pedestrian on O vs our mirage of a DB group and it'd be a close game. Still, the VaGiants need to STFU and stop crying like jilted teenage girls. You only won SIX games. You started 1-7 and beat trash competition during your 'win' streak. Maybe if your TE hadn't dropped a pass vs the very same Eagles you're complaining about you'd have been 7-9 with 2 wins over the Wankers and had the division won by beating the Cowgirls? So to depend on a division rival to help you backdoor into the playoffs is idiotic. Take a look in the mirror and try and figure out why you only won 6 games vs mostly garbage teams and how you can get better instead of crying over the fact that a rival didn't do you a favour. Go F yourselves, VaGiants and Judge. Yup. I was expecting to see Suds play at some point during this game as I stated in a post in another thread.

January 5, 20214 yr Right now, my ‘too-early-to-guess’ guess on what will happen before the Eagles pick at #6: #1 JAX — Lawrence #2 NYJ — Fields. Joe Douglas didn’t draft Darnold, so I think they trade him pre-draft. The Jets fan base is pissed they missed out on Lawrence; I think they need to save face by drafting the next available option at QB #3 MIA — I think they try to trade out, but if no one wants to trade into the spot I believe they draft Sewell. Same rationale that Eagles fans use for drafting Sewell — you draft BPA and move pieces along the OL to fit #4 ATL — Parsons. Horrid defense, they need the best available defensive player. #5 CIN — either Chase or trade back with a team needing a QB

Were any Giants fans mad at Brett Favre when he laid down for Strahan to win the sack record? THAT was pathetic. I could not agree more. All of the angst and indignation directed at Doug for treating the game correctly as a pre-season game. If you feel that way, you MUST feel the same way about teams headed to the playoffs resting their starters. They aren't playing to win!!!! Disrespecting the game!!!! What's the difference??? You as a fan get to decide which teams can tank a game and why? What benefit did the Eagles have in winning? So many Giants fans are pissed off that their sorry 6-10 team didn't back into the playoffs and it is the Birds fault. "Because you have a young QB, you need to evaluate him, why not let him compete against a possible playoff team and get a 4th quarter comeback??" Uhh, because we have seen him compete against better teams, like the Cardinals and Saints. We also want to see our other QB play. If he had won last week, and not been completely shut down by Dallas, he would have stayed in there and won the game and the Birds would be in the playoffs. Maybe he should have completed more than 6 passes and it could have all been different. If what the Eagles did was so awful... what does that say about the Jaguars?? They tanked multiple games, once the hapless Jets handed them a gift. "Yeah but they are going for the #1 pick." So?? Really?? They were resting mostly healthy players and tanking on purpose. And it was obviously the smart thing to do. What would the benefit have been for the Eagles to win? Nothing. A lower draft pick. Pushing the most QB needy team in the division up the draft board. Handing a division win to the Giants. All for what? What about the risks? What would have happened if Hurts tore his ACL in the 4th quarter? How would that have helped the Eagles moving forward? There is no logic to what these people are saying. Tanking games and resting players happens. What the Eagles did, i.e. treat late season games when you are eliminated as pre-season games, should become the norm, not the exception. Use the opportunity to develop and evaluate players. When necessary, lose the games to improve draft position. Ideally, few team are eliminated before weeks 16-17, so we are only talking about a limited number of games where this situation would occur.

LG is the position needs to be addressed. Pryor has not impressed at T positions, may be in the mix at G. Seumalo is the C if Kelce retires, which looks likely now given his injury history. They should find a young C to develop for the future. Dillard at RT is a problem. Johnson should be the starter next season. For sure they need to have someone ready to step in in the future. Dillard did poorly when played at RT. At LT, he may not be better than Mailata at this point, IMO. He has already assumed that Brooks will be hurt by midseason and Lane Johnson will never be able to play again. I hope and pray they are both healthy next year, but part of me anticipates this as well, based on what I've seen the past 3 seasons.

My guess is Johnson is not tradable due to cap reasons, Dillard has little trade value and Mailata we’d probably want to keep. Not sure where Sewell fits in, unless you’d place him at guard, which seems like a waste of resources.
