My ideal scenario is trading down and picking a CB in RD1. We have no young outside CBs on the roster. Trading down lets us pick the #1 position of need on the team for either Farley/Surtain + lets us pick another solid player in RD2 or 3.

Trading down is the correct move 90% of the time.

yup...from the Eagles spot, they can grab the top player in a few positions...even with a trade down

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Solid player, imo.

He's a lock as a starter going into next season imo. Sucks it took forever to get Gerry out of there

RTK signing up was the news? I honestly thought it was maybe someone made a large donation to the board or something like that

Yep.  If you think we have gone all in on the anti Wentz crowd, wait till Mr " you don't deserve Carson Wentz " gets rolling.

In case anyone wants another reason to watch the Flyers.  She's such a dime.

I'd be more impressed if the majority of them weren't 5 yards down field and racked up because the defens can't get off the field and the offense can't keep the defense off the field.

Having said that singleton played well this year, I always thought he should be on the field more than he was the cupboards at LB are still pretty bare though.

IDK what to do honestly both our o-line and receivers sucked as well as our d-backs.

And LBs.

Say it again. stop being lazy go on twitter. turn on local philly sports. google it as theres multiply stories out.

This isnt a fringe, my brother in law heard from his aunt, who works with a hooker type ****.

You should take your own advice.  If you saw this on twitter then how hard would it have been for you to right click and copy and paste into your post?  Easy peasy.  Again, you're the one bringing something to the conversation so it's your responsibility to provide the source/reason for your contribution.  Otherwise you're just throwing ish against the wall to see what sticks.

With Howie still here, LB will continue to be undervalued and looked past

Yup I think a trade down is ideal.

The eagles need a lot more than one top 6 player to affect any meaningful change, unless that pick at 6 is reggie white the correct move is trading down.

I think there are maybe two to 3 can't miss prospects in this draft. Sewell and slater and the LB from Penn St. Who at this moment name escapes me.

Eagles don't, " need" a tackle per say but slater and sewell could be generational guys that play for 10+ seasons at high levels and every team including the eagles value OT.

Micah parsons LB from Penn St is a freak I think he a can't miss generational type LB problem is eagles don't value LB haven't drafted one in the first round in something like 40 years. They currently need LBs, singleton is serviceable, the rest are trash.

Having a playmaker like Parsons at LB coukd transform a defense. I think he's the best LB prospect since Keuchly and Pat Willis.

Having said that I can't see the eagles drafting a LB or an OT and I guess they stay pat at 6 and draft a WR or DB or trade down and draft a WR or DB which I think would be the correct move to maximize value and acquire more talent.

Why is she wasting money on outfits?  Her birthday suit will do just fine.

I believe he and TJ Edwards are keepers.  Both ended the season with above 75 PFF pass rush grades and decent run defense grades.

Their pass defense grades suffer a bit because of scheme, imo....in many of Schwartz's schemes, LB's essentially turn into DB's, especially if the offense runs certain plays they might not be expecting, etc.

I'm totally on board with this.

Hey!  He’s the gift that keeps on giving — and now that my wife got me Madden NFL 2020, whenever RTK tells me to go play Madden, instead of putting him on ignore I can just say "Okay, dude!  I’ll do just that”

Good plan, if there’s a trade partner with draft capital.  All the crying and whining that Howie didn’t trade up for Lamb was sickening; after the SF/TB trade at 13/14, there wasn't any trade partner to do that.

Pretty sure Nate Burleson is already taking care of that

Forgot about edwards, he's a serviceable 2 down LB

But yeah Schwartz wasn't doing lbs any favors in run fits. The wide 9 puts a lot of pressure on LBS in the run game.

Huh?

That’s bull, Joe.  Banner was a king at alienating players, agents and future employees.  The Eagles sat Wentz and Jeffery. Everyone else was hurt that was inactive.  They went for it on fourth down that would have put them up by a four.  With nothing to lose, they took a chance.  How does that alienate players, Joe.  Finally, the offered some loyal players that won’t be back, including Sudfeld, Clement, Curry some playing time.  They also let some players get into the game, like Juriga at sixth OL, Smith at LB that they wanted to evaluate.  The few healthy starters they had played most all of the game; Ward, Kelce, Seumalo, Ertz on offense and Hargrave, Graham, Slay and maybe Edwards and Singleton (never was sure if Riley and Gerry were still starters) on defense.  (Yes, that is how bad the injuries have been this year, Joe.) No, they didn’t risk a Deshean Hall level injury on players that were banged up.  Why should they?  I am sure that alienated players, agents and future employees.  Not like insulting players at the negotiation table, like you were famed for.

Should be fun

Doesn't Lurie usually do a year-end press conference?  I haven't heard of anything scheduled, but he has a meeting with Doug today.
