Traded down twice in 1st round cause Chase/Smith/Pitts were all off the board.

Went defensive heavy, 12 total picks. Only regret was not getting OL at all, at #12 I was between Vera-Tucker and the Edge from Miami & went with the latter

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Peters was better than Mailata for two games at LT.

Then he hurt his toe, and after Mailata returned, he took his game up a level.

i don't think Stoutland kowtows to anyone, whether it's Peters or Howie - he knows he'll always have a job.

No he wasn't and don't even try to connect the 2....

Peters is cooked Howie, don't you dare bring him back!

Except Seumalo came back about the time Mailata was benched. So there was no chemistry until Mailata returned.

Exactly.  They could have left Mailata in and he would have started getting that chemistry right then, instead of having to wait 3 more games.

Well, I think Stoutland is a little bit too much a fan of Peters (and was before he got here).  Jason Peters has had far too much influence on his own status for a while.

this was my take, we knew we werent winning anything this year, so putting Peters and Alshon back in the line up only hurt the development of the young players

Forget about what we were or weren't going to win.  Having Peters and Alshon back in the lineup caused the team, overall, to regress.

Look at what Fulgham did before Alshon... look at what Fulgham did after Alshon... and look at what Alshon did.

Alshon - 6 receptions on 13 targets, 115 yards, and 1 TD. - 7 games

Fulgham (pre-Alshon) - 29 receptions on 44 targets, 435 yards and 4 TDs. - 5 games

Fulgham (post-Alshon) - 8 receptions on 21 targets, 104 yards, and 0 TD.  - 7 games (ignoring the last one which was a crap fest)

So, Alshon returns and produces at basically the same level as Fulgham did when both were available.  Its almost like losing reps in practice to Alshon might have hurt him.  And there were discussions about Fulgham's practice habits, etc.  Well, if that's the case, ride him HARDER in practice, don't take him out of practice to put in the snake.

OL was having issues with a consistent lineup from week to week, so Peters comes back and someone in that organization thought that he'd be a stabilizing force on the constant changes?   Did they really expect him to play more than a couple games before he had to come out?  I mean, have they been paying attention at all?

This was the classic case of overextended loyalty to players that had BIG MONEY investments and it was a BAD LOOK to have high priced players sitting on the bench behind the younger players.  Alshon had no business being on the roster last year, let alone the field, and I was calling for him to have been cut before the season to just take the cap hit in 2020, and not have it carry forward anymore than it was going to have to... But, they couldn't let go.   And is it a wonder that the reports about Wentz in practice coincided perfectly with the return of Jeffery to the practice field?  Dude is just bad news.  Thanks for what you did in 2017 you worm, not get out of here with your copious amounts of salary you didn't earn!

Interestingly enough, the offense did perform better in 2019 after he got injured. Perhaps that’s why Wentz’s relationship with the organization is "fractured”.

But my goodness, why would his frustration about this player affect his mechanics, processing speed and decision making. That part still doesn’t make sense to me.

no doubt in my mind Alshon is the cancer/**** behind anonymous sources, the timing is alway when he is playing. Never when he is not due to injury.

the minute he leaves those reports will stop

it can make sense. If doug is calling plays where he is supposed to throw to say. Alshon, and wentz has no faith that Alshon is going to actually get open and or make the contested catch, then he likely will be hesitant to throw the ball. If he has no faith in his wrs, he isnt just going to sling it out there.

He had faith in fulgham, he was just slinging it out there to him we saw that.

from holding the ball because he has no faith, everything breaksdown from there.

Who said it did? I might guess that receivers that struggle to get open (Alshon) (JJAW) might affect processing speed and decision making.

I know nothing about the new coaching staff but if they can instill some discipline into the team it'll be a vast improvement over last year.

Would love Moehrig in Eagles green!

If the Eagles trade back to the late 20s, he'd be ideal.

Maybe grab a WR in the second. Like what I see on film of Terrace Marshall, Jr from LSU.

Really just a question of whats on the table and how far we are comfortable dropping back

You ever think... Maybe just maybe when we lost an Offensive coordinator and doug had to do EVERYTHING this offense turned to crap?

Everyone wants to run thier mouth about how bad Wentz was but blanetly ignore that Hurts had a stretch of 27 2nd half possessions with 9 points and that he was on pace for 20 interceptions.

It was posted on here numerous times that Doug wasnt running the correct scheme with the players he had. It was reported numerous times that people in the league were laughing cause Doug was just using plays from 2018 and 2019 and open you're damn eyes.  Wentz could throw a 40 yard dime outside of the pocket 3 plays in a row and doug wouldnt run a roll out for 4 games after,. The Eagles were in the lower 3rd of motion plays(chiefs, bills and Tampa were all top 5)

They have no favorites, they have no ties, and theyve been a part of some top tier offenses which included 2 or 3 comeback players of the year.

One of my main concerns if Siriani has to get the team behind wentz too.

lots of players appeared to be on team Hurts like Ward and they will have to go

As opposed to players like Kelce, Lane, Ertz, Cox, who came out openly supporting Wentz? You know the actual leaders of the team, vs WARD? C'mon man.

trickle down effect.

Siri has his head out of his ass and calls plays wentz is good at, and plays well

Team sees Wentz playing well and falls in line.

Yup 👎🏾

Flyers played good last night. Still sloppy in the neutral zone.  Ghost played well, I dont expect that to last.

Vince Dunn is a top 4 defensemen that Berube is kicking out of St. Louis... just saying

Glad to see them win and for the two young guys to get 3rd period goals by working hard and payong attention.   But they didn't play well as a team.  2 breakaways and 3 posts by the Devils.  Ghost was an improvement no doubt but he needs to be on our 3rd defensive pairing as he will get destroyed against top 6 forwards on the top teams.   Dunn would be a wonderful pick up for this team and to pair with Sanheim.  Would make our top 4 much better.

Actually, at the time we had a real shot at winning the division.

Yes, but Peters and Alshon were undeniable worse than Mailata/Fulgham. So even if you wanted to take the position that we had a chance to win the division, they still represented the best chance to do so.

So are they just not doing an introductory press conference for the head coach because every press conference this organization does is a complete disaster?

How the hell have we not heard from the new HC yet?

and zero shot of winning a single game beyond that. No one from our division was going to win anything in the playoffs.  I think it was around week 5 or 6 when I said, just play the young guys, it was time. I had seen enough to know we were not turning THAT season around. Not with the likes of Alshon/Djax, Peters etc.

Maybe they are already having buyers remorse?
