I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

LOL how many trades ?

3.  Jets traded up from 23 to 6 for Sewell and gave me 23 plus 3 other picks.  Then two small trades back, like 5 slots each.

Interesting read on AR's first coaching staff:

https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/surprising-look-back-how-andy-reid-picked-his-1999-coaching-staff

"You can see by the people I’m hiring that I’m looking for a certain kind of person,” Reid told reporters during the hiring process. "I’m not going to hire anybody who isn’t a teacher. I want high-character people here.”

People put too much emphasis on "Xs" and "Os", like I've pointed out, everything is stolen in the NFL, you can't keep a new idea "new" more than a few weeks, at best one season.

The edge you get out of a coaching staff is teaching, improving your talent level by improving your players.

Everybody knew exactly what Vince Lombardi was going to run, but it didn't matter, because they executed those plays perfectly. Some things never change.

The question at the X and O standpoint is what are these great teachers teaching?  I could be the greatest teacher in the world, but if I am teaching flat earth, or the 4 humors, my students arent going to go very far.

WR Coach  RB Coach and most of the defensive staff?

Me showing my long list of alternative things I'd rather do on Superbowl Sunday,  than Watch Tom Brady/Bruce Arians, Vs the Chiefs-

which includes:

chewing on tinfoil while shaving my hair with a cheese grater at #268

also

#3,442 - Shaving my nads with a straight razor and no shaving cream, then immediately slapping on some aqua Velvet

That’s the kind of draft we need. As much as people will hate to admit it, we are no where near 1 player away. We need to inject a lot of quality youth and this does that in key areas.

Assuming no one is being retained. Only firm hire on the defensive side besides DC is the DL coach.

The next WR coach - Na Brown

So we know many vet players who could be considered leaders on the team came out in support of Wentz.  Still, there did seem to be a new energy when Hurts was put is as the starter.

There was?   What did that new energy look like exactly?  Was it a punt return for a TD from a guy who got exactly 4 return opportunities all year?  Was it the QB running on designed QB runs as part of a last ditch effort for the team to remain relevant?

What exactly was this new energy?  Was it measurable in wins and losses?  I didn't see much more energy from the offense.

OH and BTW.  If you're going to spout BS.  Make sure it's close to being accurate.  Chuck Cecil was not banned from the NFL.....  But go ahead and live in your alternate reality.

How in the heck did he come up with Chuck Cecil was banned from the NFL ??

10 Super Bowls lol, 10!

And that's obviously impressive. Is he one of the best ever? Sure. Is he the GOAT? Not to me. Montana will always have that one. Yeah he had Rice, but Brady had a super team in his prime built with people like Randy Moss and lost the Super Bowl. The GOAT would have found a way to win that game. Period. Defense was fantastic and they were stacked and he still lost.

If you gave Manning that weak division and one of the best defenses in the league each year, basically switching places in 2001, and we may be talking about him being the GOAT. Again, one of the best to ever live, but he had advantages other great QBs never had (including all the cheating BS and them paying him under the table so they had the cap space to sign other players). Very deserving of respect, but there will always be questions and an asterisks next to his name. Even this year, players went there and took less money. Advantages a lot of other QB in the playoffs didn't have.

LOL.

You can discount everything Brady has done because of a deflated football in a blowout win.  You're weak arse take isn't worth the effort..

Wow so no mention of spygate just totally blocked it from your mind?

You are correct about cecil, I thought he was suspended but was given a 30,000 dollar fine which at the time was the largest fine ever given to a player not to mention 30,000 dollars was a lot more to a player than it is in today's NFL.

Oh JFC.  Here we go.  Go away.

Especially one from Florida.  MuthaF-ers are killers...

To be clear i wasn't banging the table that it needs to happen, There are others higher on my own list than Pitts even as a Gator fan. I don't post much around here anymore so i don't know the topics in the blog these days, If Pitts has been a hot topic or not. Just thought i would share as a gator fan my thoughts on Johnson and that Pitts could be in play, especially with that hire.

He's not OC, DC or HC so it doesn't matter

So you want to draft the 3rd best "receiving" prospect in the draft with the 6th overall pick?  On this team?

Depends on the board at that time. If he’s the best of what’s left then yeah.

So Brady was in charge of the team when Spygate happened?  LOL.  All I am saying is you can't discount the guy is the GOAT.  Because he got "lucky".  That was my original response to this.

Why Philly fans have such an obsession and hard on for Brady and Belicheck is beyond me.  You give them too much credit.  It discredits our SB win...

Do you not think brady benefitted from spy gate, do you not think he wasn't aware of spygate???

If you can discount he was a cheater why can't I discount he's not the GOAT???

Why do Philly fans have a hard-on in your words, for the cowboys?

Why would one not have any I'll will towards a team and their qb that cheated your team out of a super bowl just because on one won 13 years later against that same coach and qb?

Tom Brady is a good qb, I don't think he needed to cheat to be good and it's tainted his legacy though the more tine passes the more the league and fans will forget it or minimize or justify it which isn't surprising because the nfl has been doing all those from the day they destroyed the spygate evidence.

Cheating scandals do nothing to promote ones product so it's in the leagues best interest to act like they care all while sweeping it under the rug and hoping fans forget.

For the most part it's worked, most fans don't care that Brady is a two time proven cheater

I do and that in no way discredits the eagles super bowl win.

Talk about a confusing take, that somehow if brady isn't the GOAT that discredits the eagles super bowl because they didn't beat the GOAT

Does that mean every super bowl winner that didn't beat Tom Brady in the super bowl is less of an accomplishment???

One can argue whether or not he's the GOAT its subjective.

What's not subjective is that he got busted twice for cheating. Those are facts anyway one slices it. No matter how much I e attempts to justify minimize or excuse the cheating he still cheated.
