Interesting that the Texans were hell-bent on hiring a black head coach and still passed over Bieniemy.

Culley is black

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

That's my whole point

Anyone know if this is accurate?

I went to the guy Tony Pauline's profile but didn't see anything regarding Ertz

Normally the NFL teams just wait for clubs to release these players rather than trade draft capital for them.  Teams know the Eagles are way over the cap and need to shed contracts; if Howie gets back anything higher than a 5th at most, that’s a job well done

What shots at Culley.
The Athletic Football Show is very good FYI

My bad, I misinterpreted it

I mean, this was very obvious even without a report.

No doubt.

Apparently Watson was coached by Culley at the Pro Bowl last year and likes him. It will be hilarious if the Texans think hiring a guy that spent a few days for a glorified scrimmage will fix the Franchise QBs relationship.

For anyone who doesn't want to click on the Tony Pauline article:

I was told unequivocally today that tight end Zach Ertz will not play for the Philadelphia Eagles next year. There appears to be some hard feelings how Ertz, a big contributor to the team during their Super Bowl run, was treated last season.

Rather than cut Ertz, expect the Eagles to try and trade him. Ertz has two years remaining on his contract.

But yeah, least surprising news of the offseason so far. Everyone knew this was coming. Though I'm confused about Ertz having hard feelings over how he was treated, but I really don't care.

Dumb rule, but even dumber when you look at it this way.

I have hard feelings about how Ertz treated me as a fan last season.

Failing upwards!

I’m guessing he means the contract situation

What's not surprising? No mention of coaching skills

Man.  How to soften a crusty man.  Take his first pup away from him.  Has to put this guy to rest tonight.   13 great years.  Great dog.  Tough day.

Sorry man, I recently put down mine last year after 15 years. First dog I got when I moved out of home too. I know your pain. crap never gets easier.

I hope it’s just the contract situation.

After the way he played last season it's a good thing they didn't give him an extension.

For those of you still wondering who Amanda Gorman is, the NFL announced that she will recite an original poem in the pregame activities.

Ertz is on a trade friendly contract.  Team gets him locked in for two years.  We ought to at least get an Avery fourth for that. Given his expression that he was seeking an extension last year and turned down good money, a team benefits by having him locked for two years so there is trade value.

I have a feeling the NFL is going to do everything in its power to make the Super Bowl dreadful to watch with all this extra stuff.

I’m sorry man. That’s brutal. It never gets easier every time I’ve had to do it. They are family. I’m glad you got 13 good years with him.

Any predictions for the HC vacancies next year?

I'll guess Chicago, Cinci, Arizona, Minny, Denver and maybe Dallas.

Man.  You’re into this poem chick.  Me, I’d prefer to see Paige Spiranic stretch and hit golf balls for a pregame activity.

I’m curious as to if the original poem is going to be about when the nfl does and doesn’t call PI. I’d love for a low blow to the Saints in there.

That might have been the final nail in Howies coffin. Probably not, but extending a guy with two years left and paying him more to drop off a cliff? Yikes.

Kingsbury definitely on the hot seat with how the cardinals collapsed after that him Mary and the offense was never the same. I think all of the ones you said and i would also say i wouldn’t be shocked if Payton leaves the Saints and goes to another job. Been talks about him doing that for a couple years.
