I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

He definitely sounds a bit nervous. That’s okay though.

When's the part where the team is going to bite other team's kneecaps?

Good.

IDK that I'd say it's necessarily good.  Safety play was incredibly hard to judge with Shorts' system, but I think overall the S's were a strength all things considered.  Rod has been pretty darn good when on the field, Corey G might have been the MVP of the SB run on the D side of the ball.  Mills was good before the DB shuffle with injuries this year.  Wallace is an unknown, so give him a pass.  Epps was basically Gerry playing S, but we didn't expect much.

He talks like Jimmy Two Times. I’m going to get the papers, get the papers!

Oh God he talks just like Doug 😂 😂 😂

He stumbles and bumbles over every word 😂

He’s  Dougy P!

You can tell he is nervous and wants to make a good impression.  Coaches press conferences are not gonna tell you a story of how good they can coach.  See Bill Belichek.

Is there still any doubt as to who is pulling the strings and who is attached to them at this point?

IIRC  We had a legit backup, Jim McMahon, Unfortunately he couldn't stay healthy.  Sad year.

McMahon was a name and nothing more.  He could have potentially kept things just enough afloat to let the D win more games, but nothing of his play said he could have been a key piece of a run that year.

He loves talking with his hands and banging the podium. A real Italian

I cant wait for the 15 QB questions and getting a PC answer for all 15.  We like both players.  Both players have unique skill set.  We are excited for both QBs    etc

Lol first question is about Wentz

Well he's good at answering questions without answering them

I love the obligatory waste of time.  The media is forced to ask the QB questions, while the new HC is forced to give noncommittal answers.  He knows they'll ask it, they know what his answers will be.  Just a weird meaningless standoff in which both sides know exactly what the other is going to do.

Meh....I like him.  But he seems out of his depth.

They didn’t hire him for one year. It’s to grow with the team. Doug was crap at his first few conferences too.

I think he is just nervous.  When you get past the nerves the stuff he is saying is good.   I hope the nerves go away after he gets more comfortable talking.

People said that verbatim about Doug.  And both were hired in the same situation for the same purpose...to be likeable, fundamental guys while others are at the controls.

Doug was crap at his last few conferences too.

He is nervous.  Want's to make a good impression.  A lot of good coaches, especially in the NFL are not always good giving a PC.

I imagine it will be better when it is just a strict post game X's & O's type PC>

I like that one reporter bothered to say welcome to Philadelphia.  Fire away with the tough questions, but they should welcome and congratulate the guy.

He said Howie put together a wonderful, talented team.

Stupid ESP question coming.

Adapt to the players you have...that's the best thing we can ask for.

The answer to this question about his offense is very telling.  He designs his offense to fit the QB.   I can't imagine they will design and implement two different offenses at the beginning because Wentz will run one type of offense and Hurts will need another.  So the team will have to pick one.

It could be worse...that "inspirational" Detroit PC is a guarantee to fail.

Some of these reporters questions are just dumb. Dude has been here a week. These are questions more for training camp
