Howie having say of the 53 is the sound bite they needed to run with a few stories.

The end all be all is Howie is running the show.
Sirianni is a puppet. The end of the Press conference is all you need to see everything else is fluff.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

The most "yes man” ever. I hope he is smart at least on game day. 😕

The only question is whether the GM actually listens to his HC or just does what he wants to do and figures he can hire a new HC if he can't make it work with the GM's players.

Which will be an interesting dynamic in this draft if reports are true that the coaches preferred Reagor over Jefferson.

Why does old man Lurie want to be called "Mr. Lurie"? I hate when people act like just because they have money somehow they are special.

I'll have to check it out

Hmmm so I should stop calling you Mr. Greend?

I am pretty sure most teams GM's have final say on the 53 man roster with input from the coaching staff.

I was genuinely confused by the response, I thought it was a pretty simple question.

For him it is probably better then us calling him lowie lol

I really wish a reporter would’ve asked lurie a question but "accidentally” said lowie

A few thoughts on the Sirianni PC:

— Judging by how Sirianni talks about Howie, this was purely a Lurie hire.  Thanks Lurie for believing in him, said "looking forward to working with” Howie

— good scripted first answer on Wentz & Hurts, but was a little surprised he didn’t just say straight out that Wentz is the starter.  Makes me wonder if conversations between Wentz and the organization behind the scenes might not be going all that well

— creating a game plan to maximize players’ strengths (what a novel concept)

— quite surprised Nick didn’t tell Eskin ‘everything I know so far tells me Carson will be here’ ..... again, not sure what to read into his stock answer of "everything is being evaluated”

You should go read the response(s) I got in the Surtain thread for asking a simple question of what he's watching that I'm not seeing.

1.) You should never talk techniques outside this blog.

2.) What do you expect from someone with the screen name "stinkfist"?

Bad news for us is Howie is our GM.

I know orlovsky was on 975 yesterday kind of alluded to he thinks Carson doesn’t want to be there anymore. Made his opinion that the longer he goes without talking about the team next year or making a comment about what’s going on in terms of new coach/old coach feels like each day that goes by he feels he’s likely gone.

not saying i agree with it just that’s how orlovsky was interpreting it.

Well, if the plan is to trade Hurts, which I think it should be, if they say Wentz is the starter it lowers his value. Well, he may be our starter, so we can't just give him away kind of thing. They can't go into this season with both and expect Wentz to improve. It's the Foles looking over his shoulder mental block all over again. If they are choosing to really invest in Wentz then they need to move him. Otherwise, that is a plan doomed to fail from the start.

Some people shockingly are able to have intelligent convos in there, which in here with the web of convos we have, I often like to venture there for specific 'targets'.  He seemed to have some intelligent points before, but given what he posted it was him regurgitating what some dude in a video said.  Oh well!  I'm tired and cranky, so I probably shouldn't have kept feeding him lol.

I think if we tweeted kempski asking him to do it he’d try to pull it off. Like In super troopers with saying meow

Yea, I disagree completely with any and all of this. Has Matt Ryan come out and say anything about Arthur Smith being hired? His future isn't exactly solid, so why is it fine he stays silent?

Cox and Kelce are "leaders in the locker room" so why is it fine that they don't have to say anything about the future or the new coach? Media members are acting like spoiled brats over this and think they are entitled to know with pure clarity what's going on, even if there isn't anything happening right now.

Combining the 45 seconds I could stomach and what you guys are saying in here, I wouldn't blame Wentz for wanting out of this sinking ship.

We live in the twitter/instant gratification age.  The media literally makes money by sensationalism since the market is so big and having the 'hot' story is what drives in the money.  Gone are the days of fewer outlets and quality reporting/fact checking/integrity.

Just saying there’s been rumors that atlanta is going to draft a QB at four and potentially move on from Matt Ryan. So that might be also the reason he hasn’t said anything either. Also would say atlanta probably knows long term he’s gone
