He talks like a teen so people hate him. It’s annoying, but he’s knowledgeable and does some damn good breakdowns.

You forgot the "trying too hard to be cool" using "cc" in place of "ck".

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

After starting to watch some CFB prospects, I wish we could somehow turn #6 into Pitts and Toney.

Toney is what people hoped Reagor would be.  Pitts may project better as a WR.  But a position change for a #6 pick is not acceptable.  He’s going to make a team happy and may be worth a top 5 pick in hindsight, but he still belongs a bit later as a result of his unclear label.

They might be the 2 most intriguing pass catchers in the draft.

Im the biggest Toney fan from before anyone heard about him, and Im here to say hes not comparable to Reagor. Reagor looked way faster in college, and showed ability to play above the rim despite his size. He looked like a legit X prospect despite his size.

Toney has always looked like a slot guy, though fast, he looks more quick than fast. Not the same kind of speed Reagor showed. Just amazing elusiveness. Like Barry Sanders at WR. A perfect space player if Sirianni runs a horizontal offense. But not relly someone who screams future #1 WR to me.

The small guy with blazing speed who might be able to play outside is Rondale Moore. But Im not sure hes an X either.

"As a teammate and friend of Carson, I think that it always starts with performance and he hasn't performed up to the expectations that everybody's had for him and I don't think he would say he's played up to his own expectations," Jenkins said.

"But some of the other issues I felt when I was in the locker room was that there was just too much leeway and it didn't make him a better player. I don't think they did him any favors by trying to protect his ego or trying to really protect him as a player as opposed to — just like every other player — keeping it performance-based and really being real about what he needed to improve on."

"Every player should go into every offseason evaluating what they did well, what they didn't do well, and you look to see improvement year after year," Jenkins told Eisen. "But if that's not the case and you don't see it and there are no changes and it's not being addressed, as a player you almost feel like, 'What are we doing?' To do the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insanity. And unfortunately, I think that a little bit of that has taken place over the last two years and obviously this offseason shows that something had to change in a major way. And Carson is still there and regardless who they bring in to coach him and get him better, he's still going to have to improve as a player in order for that team to have success."

"They've got a situation where obviously with all that went down with Carson Wentz this year, a lot of money invested into him and then you have Jalen Hurts come in and really take command of the offense, ignite a little bit of juice into the team — and that's not the first time that that's happened from a backup quarterback obviously in Philly — so it's one of those things where something has to change," he said.

"Whether you put that onus on the coaching staff or you put that onus on the players that are there, but I mean there's obviously going to be a lot of work to be done there. But they've got great leadership, they've got players in that locker room that are a prideful group and what you hope to see is that at least as a fan — I even call myself an Eagles fan — you just hope that the competitiveness and the culture and the egos of what that team stands for at least stays in place."

For a guy who also told Eisen "I haven't really paid a ton of attention" to what's going on in Philly, Jenkins had some pretty pointed observations about his former team.

Sirianni talked about blocking at WR. That was a big deal when the Colts took Pittman.

I don’t know if Chase is a great blocker, but he’s really physical so he can definitely do it.

man, I just watched the Pitts highlights. The kid has incredible hands. Jumps up and snatches the ball out of the air. Sometimes with three defenders around him. I kept thinking when has one of the Eagles WR's made even one catch like that. Its been a looonnnnnnngggg time. Im not saying take him at 6, but trade out a little.....I think Im in.

I'm in too. I don't see it happening if I'm honest but I'm definitely in. This kid could be such a force in the NFL.

So what's the book on Solak in here? Too much of a Wentz hater? I've always found his stuff interesting.

I think that Fran Duffy is fairly universally respected.

Listening to the BwF podcast and they talked about the questions they wanted to get to but weren’t called on: Staff building and how young it is, analytics, offensive philosophy, fourth down aggression.

Actually thought sheil’s questions about the process of how he got hired and when he got interviewed and the timeline would have been a cool insight.

I am rather surprised that he didn't add anyone to the staff with some HC experience.   Can't say that its a bad thing... but it is interesting.

Based off listening to him last year and this year he’s definitely not as high on wentz as he once was.

I’d dare to say Wentz was a shell of himself last year...

I think that would be fair yes!

Ill have to pay attention to that when I get to watching more of the WRs. Id love to know how Tylan Wallace and Tamorrion Terry block then. Love those guys.

Any way Siri can work a deal for Hines? Guy is really good.

Most of the positive hype I read in here is for Sheil, Bo Wulf and Caplan.  I watched their podcast when someone posted their reaction to the postseason presser.  Frankly all of them to me came across as Negadelphian whiners.  They were adversarial in their attitudes toward the franchise.

If they are the best, what a terrible group of beat writers the city churns out

See its interesting because I think Sheil and Bo speak the honest truth to be honest. It's what most fans are thinking.

I don't know if Pitts is worth the #6, but the same with Chase, I'm more worried about the players who took the year off, it's very common for a hot sophomore to be exposed as a junior once opposing HCs have film on him.

Pitts would be a H-back in the NFL, sorta like Ertz but he's much faster, but like Ertz he'd be a big WR b/c of his route running and ability to snatch the ball.

An H-back can be just as valuable as a WR, it's just that few athletes are nifty enough at H-back size to be a top receiver (especially route running) and many can't handle the blocking responsibilities. So they tend to be part-time guys, coming in for 2 TE packages (Perkins, Rodgers). But a great H-back is equivalent to a WR, but more dangerous b/c the defense can't go small because you have a big blocker for the run game.

I'd take Tony Gonzalez over most HOF WRs. The advantage of a great H-back is he's a far more dangerous red zone target than most top WRs.

Insert "Kellen Mond to Eagles at #6” joke.

We could use a future #2 receiver too.  Reagor has future #3 written on him right now.

Yeah.

Toney is a slot guy imo.

I don't know why I bother with the people that hate Wentz. They're irrational as hell
